"This place is like an oasis in the desert. This hotel is no doubt to be one of the best budget hotels in Jaisalmer. Ideally located, the hotel is just 5-10 min walk from the bus stand and the Jaisalmer Fort. Upon arrival, we were given a free upgrade - deluxe room with balcony. Quite impressed with that, we were in for a surprise when we entered the room. The room was big with a queen size bed and a diwan. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Sleep quality was awesome and so was the Air Conditioner. No bathroom amenities other than a soap. The shower pressure was OK. The swimming pool was nice and it was our savior to beat the heat. We also tried the food in the roof top restaurant - it was not bad at all. Few items were delicious esp Parantas and the Panner butter masala. The staffs are quite friendly and helpful. Yeah, they do have Desert Safaris also. Overall, this place is a definite value for money! Thumb Up!"

"I’ve been traveling across SE Asia and India for 4 months. I’ve stayed at a wide range of dozens of hotels and Gaji might be the very best one yet. Location is great, price is very fair, room is clean with good air con, and restaurant is one of the best in town. But, the real magic lies in the staff. Gaji himself is a very active owner, meeting me on my bus to give me a ride to the hotel, and repeatedly asking me how things were going. Ali the front desk person is also incredible, sorting out a camel safari for me (the one through the hotel is excellent and very good for the price) and a bus to the next city. Overall this is the absolute best place to stay in Jaisalmer. Thanks for having me, guys!"

"Stayed for only one night, after our flight from Delhi to Jaisalmer was cancelled by Spicejet at the last minute. The airport opened for commercial flights just a week or two ago, so that wasn't a good sign. But the Marriott Jaisalmer is an exceptional hotel. Admittedly, the hotel did not seem anywhere near full, but the personal attention given by staff was (almost) overwhelming. I stay in many hotels for business and pleasure, and their service was second to none in some 40 years of travel.."

First and foremost, check the visa requirements based on your nationality, as most travelers will need a visa to enter India. Applying for an e-Visa is a convenient option for many countries, allowing for a hassle-free entry process.

Health and safety are also key considerations for travelers. It’s advisable to stay hydrated, especially in the desert climate, and to carry a basic first-aid kit for minor ailments. Additionally, consider traveling with travel insurance to cover any unexpected situations that may arise during your trip.

Lastly, familiarize yourself with local customs and etiquette. Respecting local traditions and being mindful of dress codes, especially when visiting religious sites, is essential. Engaging with locals in a friendly manner and learning a few basic Hindi phrases can enhance your experience and help you connect with the community. With these practical tips in mind, you'll be well-prepared for an unforgettable adventure in Jaisalmer.
