"The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of Keflavik airport. The Icelandair flight from Boston arrived around 23:00 and the onward flight to Manchester left at 08:00. Reykjavik and a wide choice of hotels are 45 minutes away by bus. We decided that it was worth booking in at the Aurora Star esp. as I read that people were moved on at KEF airport. No regrets - several hours sleep in a bed was the better option."

"We were staying at Start Keflavik Airport the night before our flight home. We had an early flight around 7 a.m. and had to drop off our rental car before that, but the hotel staff (Paulina) was incredibly sweet and offered to prepare breakfast for us extra early (3:30 a.m.). The breakfast itself was excellent as well, with a good variety of foods including hot oatmeal and freshly cut fruit. Our room was very spacious and perfectly clean. Despite the hotel being so close to the airport, there was no noise at night and we had a very nice and quiet (albeit short) night's sleep. The check-in and check-out procedure went very smoothly, again thanks to the hotel staff (Paulina). She was very warm and friendly, it was really nice to be greeted by such an enthusiastic staff member. All in all, despite our very short stay, we had a great experience at Start Keflavik Airport and we would definitely recommend choosing this hotel if you need a place to stay close to Keflavik airport. 10/10"

"The employees offer excellent service and go over and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel is well kept and clean and conveniently located next to the KEF airport. I apologize for not knowing the woman's name but many thanks to the one who made my bf and I sandwhiches after checkout due to my carelessness of forgetting our snacks in the room before leaving. "

The host was very nice and quick to check us in although we arrived very late at night (3am) from the airport, and breakfast was simple, yet very good and enjoyable... ! Warmly recommended if you're flying to/from Keflavik airport and want to experience a warm friendly atmosphere in Iceland !"
