"This hotel did not have good reviews so I was skeptical. I took a chance on this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. It’s close to the airport and they have a free shuttle to and from the terminals. There are lots of shops within walking distance (approx. 5 minutes). Burger King, IHOP, 7-11, TJMaxx, Burlington Coat, Marshalls, Applebees and more. I think the parking at the hotel is free too. There were pastries and coffee/water all day/night and a continental breakfast in the morning. The front desk was friendly, professional and very helpful. The rooms were modestly appointed. Even though carpet and furniture were dated and showed signs of wear, the rooms were clean and the beds were clean. Keep in mind, this is not in the heart of New York, Manhattan or Time Square etc., you can take a train from the airport to get there. But the price was GREAT. I only have good things to say. "

"My family and I had a great stay in New York and the hotel contributed to that experience. The location could not be better, out of the door on to Times Square. My only negative comment was the time it took to prepare our rooms. We arrived before check in time, however we had to wait over an hour after check in time for the rooms to be made ready. This is not so good after a long flight. However, the hotel did compensate us by giving us some complementary buffet breakfasts."

"This hotel was a joy to stay in, it has large rooms, mine had two queen beds with lots of room left. A large well equipped bathroom again with plenty of room for all your toiletries and a huge shower space. The hotel is In a very good location, a few minutes walk from Times Square and a a block from Macy's. The is an excellent staff culture and everyone was so friendly and helpful, Got some good tips from the concierge On where to dine. It was also a short walk to the airport bus terminal which saves $40 on a taxi fare. I would definitely stay here again when next in New York. "

"overall everything was great about the pod, the staff was great, except that the concierge wasn’t able to give me directions to Newark airport and only knew how to book a car there, which I found was odd for a hotel right next to port authority. The cleanliness was good, and the room had just the right amount of basics, and lighting was good too. WIFI was extremely bad - my data plan was used up because of that. Also, the pillows were worn and lumpy which was kinda disgusting. they should get new ones. It was also a bit noisy at night but can’t expect it to be super quiet when you are right at Times Square. Overall I thought it was a good stay. "

"Our stay was great until you went for a shower... the temperature was not consistent for the hot water. we had to turn the knob all sorts of directions to get it hot. The walls of our room were thin so thin we could here the conversation next door to us! It almost seemed like they were in our room at one point! Other than that the view was awesome! Pillows are a little stiff for our liking but nice spacious area and clean. The restaurant for breakfast was pretty. The Buffett has your very Basic foods, eggs, sausage. Bacon and oatmeal. Nothing that stood out other then the view of the water. Service lacked there in the restaurant, we Never got a refill or anything but what did You expect there was young men working there and they’re too busy talking about sports to even notice their were people needing refills etc.. I have mixed emotions about this place but I would def give it another try if the price is right. "

"We have tried other hotels in New York but this one is certainly the best value for money. It is strategicaly located near brodaway and the subway station, close to restaurants and shops but at the same time not too busy at night. Next time we go to New York we will try to stay there again. But in peak season, it can be full so it is good to reserve some time in advance."

"Minutes from LGA this airport hotel works very well. With windows closed I didn't hear any of the planes coming and going. There's free parking and a shuttle to the airport. Free wifi and breakfast. The milk I put on my cereal was soured but that was really my only negative. My room was very small - a queen sized bed and just enough room to walk around it, and a good part of that was taken up by my large suitcase. If this hotel were somewhere else it would be about 1/3 the price, but hey it's New York where it is a privilege to pay too much for things. Everything else nearby is $50 more. Kind of an industrial neighborhood and not much to walk around in but right next to car rental so what it lacks in ambience is made up for in convenience."

"Our stay at the City Club Hotel was in two words amazing . I can not think how they could improve on it , it was flawless . I had read that the rooms were small but man are they well thought out , every amenity you could want and never once did we feel cramped .The bathroom was simply wonderful with the best shower I may have ever taken , didn't want to get out . We traveled with our two dogs and every member of the staff was an animal lover and were just so friendly to my dogs! There is a park two blocks away on 42nd st for the dogs to do their bussiness . The location of course is ideal to take in a show and everything from the best New York delis to fine dining options all around you . I know I will never stay at any other hotel in New York if I happen to return there ."
