"1st time we came to Penang, we stayed here because of the location. It is at the very top of jalan penang and there are so many things around. Bars behind the hotel, places to eat within 2 minutes walk, street market within 3 minutes and at the end of the street market, shopping centers are pretty much accross the road! Although there are other hotels that are located on jalan penang itself, bayview still wins hands down on location. The fact that its at the top of the street means a slightly quieter atmosphere. I mean, you don't want to step out of the hotel 1st thing in the morning to see some locals sleeping on the street, do you? Because that's what you'd get if you stay at the hotels on jalan penang. The band they constantly have performing each night is very good too. Sometimes after a hot day walking around or shopping or whatever you do in penang, you just want to relax and have a drink or two and listen to the band singing your all time favourites and do shout outs when you request a song (or 10!). We came back to penang a year later. And even though we originally wanted to stay in a resort around batu ferringhi, we decided we loved bayview the 1st time and we'd show that appreciation by returning. And were we glad we did. We arrived in the island quite late and was exhausted. We checked in at about 11:30 pm and Izhan (forgot the spelling of the name) asked if this was our first time in penang, so we told him we were there the previous year. After what seemed like 5 seconds, he thanked us for returning to bayview and upgraded us from superior room to premier! That's not even the next level of room up (superior then deluxe then premier then suite). At 11:30 at night after a long flight, I don't ever remember having much energy but I was jumping up and down. So thank you! Overall, aside from location, value, facilities available and all other things they advertise, experience like mine is not something you always get at other hotels. Thumbs up"

For those who plan for family trip more than 4 people(since i went with 7 people altogether) , you can have 2 bedroom executives and just ask for extra mattress. You can sleep at the hall since it also occupied with aircond. Overall I satisfied! "

"It was my 2nd time staying here. Quite new place and clean, staffs are helpful too. I had booked a queen size bed, my friend’s was a king size bed room. Differences will be king size bed look has an extra small fridge and slightly bigger space and bed. (Really slightly bigger). Location wise, 15-20 mins to Georgetown, can refer to google map for food location. Pinang peranakan mansion is a pretty good historical place to go. Other than that, not recommend to go to museums (very lame and ticket is very expensive). Please do check the opening hours as some of the places were closed due to MCO/RMCO. Most of the locations are nearby (walking distance 5-10 mins) but you are recommended to drive cause it is super duper hot! Also, remember to download the Penang parking app if you are driving because the clamping is everywhere in town til 6pm is I’m not mistaken. Likewise, you can go to Karpal Singh for a night walk, for now it is open until 12am only btw. Recommend to try Penang laksa, 鸭蛋炒粿条,福建面, Nyonya kuihs and kopi peng is a must too. Basically all the food and drinks in Penang is very good 10/10. Hehe. Add on, 20-30 mins to Penang hill. 3-5 mins. Very hot, don’t get con by those photo taking asking for RM5/10, not really worth the money. Remember to bring your IC and travel/working visa so that you’re entitled for 2ways ticket of RM12, normal price is RM40 (if I’m not mistaken, go to the main door there will be board showing the exact price ok). If you have time, can go to Butterworth or Bukit Mertajam anyway. More food! 😋 if it’s 3D2N, staying in town will be better so that you won’t waste much time at travelling from a place to another place. Last thing I could remember, nearby this hotel, down the road there is one dimsum shop (美食之家), very long queue, can go earlier. If can wake up early, more choices in town or Butterworth will be a better choice. Convenience stores down the road as well. 👍🏻"

"if you are coming penang for lam wah ee hospital, this inn is a must stay, the lam wah ee hospital is just accross the road. this is is located on the second floor, have a look on the huge sign, next to eaton mini mart. other than wasting you effort in looking the best room in mewah court apartment, better stay here. clean because we have to take off our shoes in the hotel area, super friendly staff which help us a lot. not talking the cheap price given. wanna visit to komtar or gurney area after hospital visit? easy, just take the bus ride around 100m walk from the inn you can find a bus stop, take either no 11 or 206 to komtar and catch another 101 102 104 to gurney. 3 big kopitiam nearby, around 8-9 mins walk you can find pasar sore batu lancang where you can easily buy raw meats and vegies."
