"The hotel is incredibly well designed and decorated to the smallest details. High end luxury with affordable pricing. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide range. Felt like the only people staying - extremely quiet and peaceful - we really enjoyed the swimming pool area. Ideal for a weekend break when you want peace and quiet. Great staff - > Chamchuree - the front of desk woman, was extremely friendly and spoke great English. Phitsanulok doesn’t offer much but there is no need to leave the hotel. A secret retreat which will hopefully stay unknown to tourists :)"

"I've stayed in several hotels in Phitsanulok but returned to the Pailyn after trying out the others. The Pailyn is now a faded hotel very much showing its age, but it is still good value and well located for the night market, railway station etc. The porters were helpful with parking and moving my room when aircon broke down."

"We stopped in Phitsanulok on our way from Chiang Mai to Laos. We chose the hotel for it's large pool so our kids could swim and for the price. It was supposed to be just a quick stop over, but we had car trouble. After we checked out we were still waiting around in the lobby for the car to be done. Not only did the staff not mind, once they began talking to us about our situation they offered us a free buffet lunch. Although the hotel is older and looks a bit "past it's prime," I think it is great for the price and also very clean. The pool size was great and our kids loved it. The workout room seemed really nice. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, western and Thai. The lunch buffet was huge and very good, but was basically all Thai food."

"Reasonably central location. Rooms fine but tight when you have an extra bed as we did. Staff friendly. Breakfasts a little limited but not a disaster. Phitsanulok was found to have very limited tourist attractions. Pretty well all are Thai temples (Wats). Good restaurants but not easy to find. I would recommend the hotel but not the town. "
