Phitsanulok hotels & places to stay

I have now stayed at this hotel two times when visiting my wife's family in Phitsanulok, Thailand. It is an exceptional hotel and fantastic value for money. I will always be staying at this hotel when visiting this area of Thailand. The hotel is near new with modern hotel facilities including modern rooms, beautiful landscaping, exceptional greeting and service by the hotel staff, 24 hour room service, large pool. The rooms were cleaned daily to a spotless state. I always felt relaxed when in the hotel grounds. The landscaping adjacent to the rooms and walkways is very tranquil and beautiful. Please give a tip to the hotel staff as they very much deserve it! Highly Recommended!

We stopped in Phitsanulok on our way from Chiang Mai to Laos. We chose the hotel for it's large pool so our kids could swim and for the price. It was supposed to be just a quick stop over, but we had car trouble. After we checked out we were still waiting around in the lobby for the car to be done. Not only did the staff not mind, once they began talking to us about our situation they offered us a free buffet lunch. Although the hotel is older and looks a bit "past it's prime," I think it is great for the price and also very clean. The pool size was great and our kids loved it. The workout room seemed really nice. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, western and Thai. The lunch buffet was huge and very good, but was basically all Thai food.

This hotel is so well run with amazing staff and an excellent manageress. Everything was perfect. The breakfasts were lovely as well with a great selection and delicious coffee. They were so quick and eager to help us with our luggage from our car and even had someone keep an eye on the cars at night in the large parking lot. If you travel to Phitsanulok I recommend you stay here

My first time staying here was great. Very closed to the famous temple and located in the center of Phitsanulok. Good room and good facilities. Bathroom is together with toilet, found some stain but it’s acceptable. The most important thing need to be fixed was reception. No smiling , unpolite and unhelpful. However, I really love the great service of bellboy who drove me and my girlfriend to the temple and waiting us without any complaint. Overall for this hotel is ok and if I have chance I would stay here for next time and will try the night bar facing to the river for sure!

I stayed in this hotel on two separate nights en-route between Chiangmai and Nakhon Phanom. I have tried before to find a pleasant hotel in Phitsanulok but to no avail. Wonderful that I now have this choice when I make this regular trip. On the banks of the river Nan, close to Wat Pra Si Rattana Mahathat (aka. Wat Yai), it has just 21 rooms, 2 suites and 2 connecting rooms. Modern and stylish yet retaining a Thai feel. It has all the conveniences of a five star hotel but with an air of intimacy and privacy. The Amore restaurant, where I had breakfast on both occasions and dinner on one, was faultless. An excellent choice of authentic Italian and Thai food; presentation, taste and service were impeccable. My only wish is that there were more hotels of this type and standard for road trips as they provide such a welcome rest during long journeys.

the ayara grand palace hotel is a breath of fresh air compared to most of the dingy old hotels in phitsanulok. from the moment we arrived and were greeted with a cold drink we knew that this hotel was going to be good. the attentive staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. the rooms were bright, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a powerful shower with lots of hot water, a flat screen tv and very attractive décor. we ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. breakfast was also very good. no question of where i will stay next time i visit phitsanulok!

The hotel is incredibly well designed and decorated to the smallest details. High end luxury with affordable pricing. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide range. Felt like the only people staying - extremely quiet and peaceful - we really enjoyed the swimming pool area. Ideal for a weekend break when you want peace and quiet. Great staff - > Chamchuree - the front of desk woman, was extremely friendly and spoke great English. Phitsanulok doesn’t offer much but there is no need to leave the hotel. A secret retreat which will hopefully stay unknown to tourists :)

I've stayed at many of the Hop Inns all over Thailand, and they are all basically the same. They have all been clean with good WiFi, and very new and stylish. The rooms are not huge, but they make good use of the space. for a night or 2 they are fine, but if you are going to be in a place for more than 2 days look for a apartment or house to rent for more room. But for the price and a quick layover you can't go wrong.

We stayed at the hotel during our visit to the Chinarat Buddha at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, which is only 5 minutes down the street and easily accessible from the hotel. I was not expecting much from a small town hotel, but it was surprisingly nice. The lobby and dining room are older but very well appointed, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely maintained. We don't normally eat dinner at hotels, but there is nothing in Phitsanulok beside the standard Thai street meals so we gave it a try. We were very impressed. The menu is extensive, the dining room is quite fancy with a live singer, and the staff were very good with our little girl. We were able to order a full fish, three sides and drinks for around 20 USD. The breakfast the next morning was as good as any we have had in Thailand also. Overall, I would definitely suggest this for a stop in Phitsanulok.

Perfect for nature lovers and anybody who wants to stay off the beaten track. It's about a 45 minute bus ride out of town, but there didn't seem to be much to do in actual Phitsanulok anyway. The owner is lovely and welcoming and the bungalows are so pretty and peaceful. It was perfect, I would have been happy to just lounge around the hotel and not go out to be honest. But they do arrange kayaking and rafting activities also. Highly recommended :)

New, very clean Hotel (it looks like a new 3-stars-hotel in Europe), very clean big rooms, small balcony, ac, fridge, w-lan, no mosquito-net, no breakfast, no laundry service (in contrast to the description), no personal touch. The location is central and not far from the railway station. In the neighbour hood are some bars (frequented by locals in summer), but also (as in many places in Thailand) a lot of street dogs on the way to the hotel, which could be a problem after sunset. The receptionists are very friendly, but only speak a few words in English, GoogleTranslate helps. The night market is on the other side of the river and in walking distance. We recommend this place for people, who are searching for a very clean hotel and a vehicle at night.

This hotel is about 100 yards from the train station and a very short walk to the river and night bazzar, 5 minutes walk to Wat Yai (the big temple). It is an older hotel and the rooms look a bit tired but we were pleasantly surprised to find everything was very clean. The hotel was a real bargain given the price included breakfast, which you might be glad of as there are precious few restuarants in Phitsanulok. I saw previous breakfast reviews were varied this is because if the hotel is busy they do a pathetic buffet if you are lucky enough to go when the hotel is quiet they cook the breakfasts individually and the quality is much better.

Thailand can be extremely hot., but the lacers of trees keep the temperature down. If that is not enough the pool is large enough to do laps (25 yards).The rooms are large and modern. The manager speaks perfect English. It was a treat to see the elephants that come right to the front of the hotel with their caretakers. You can also visit the elephants where they live. The hotel is large but had very low occupancy. There was also some renovation going on but this did not interfer withour enjoyment or our ability to relax by the pool. The breakfast could have used some fresh fruit and the bread was just standard white bread. I would go back. It is excellent value, very pretty surroundings and seeing the elephants up close is impressive.

Super impressed! The place is very cool-decorated. All staff are friendly (especially the old lady who owns the place.) A must-visit hostel when you come to Phitsanulok!

I came to Phitsanulok to visit Naresuan university and Rajabhat university. This hotel is in the middle of both of them. So the location is quite ok according to that. However, it's far from town. So I couldn't explore the local store or food easily. Despite that, the restaurant provides very tasty dinner at affordable price. The gym is excellent! It's like full service sport club. I could use gym, sauna, steam room, and join the classes as complimentary. Breakfast was ok.

Well-priced and very clean. The bed was large, the shower was hot, the staff was very friendly (some speak English), and the breakfast was diverse and delicious. Hotel staff even offered to take us to the bus station and made a second trip after we forgot a water bottle at the hotel. Great service and excellent location (about 10 min walk to bus station). I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Asizz for a night with my family. We had such a nice sleep there. The room was clean and full of facilities like hair dryer, electric kettle and wifi. The staffs there are so friendly and helpful. A small guy at reception guided us around and even gave us a free city map. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Phitsanulok, this place will be a good option for you!

The hotel is on the western outskirts of Phitsanulok - so it is convenient if travelling NS or East. Mr room (2501, I think) was not on the 2nd floor but the 5th, and faced the busy main highway. Closed windows and drapes blocked out most of the noise but if you are a light sleeper request a room in the adjacent building or on the non-road side of the first building. The room was clean and comfortable enough and the breakfast (free) was excellent. There is a small swimming pool but I did not try it. On my return visit I stayed in the older building which offered slightly larger rooms.

The Taman Spa Resort is a quiet undiscovered family run hotel. Large simple, comfortable rooms situated in landscaped grounds. Has not yet been discovered. Pool and quiet areas with small waterfalls create a tranquil retreat for relaxation. Definitely not a busy main-stream establishment, more good honest quality accommodation. Breakfast is personally served by the owner to order. LOCATION : on road signed 117 TO PHICHIT & NAKON SAWAN on the main highway overhead signs. At traffic lights 10 From Phitsanulok filter right; Towards Phitsanulok filter LEFT ( You might notice unusual BLUE VERTICLE SIGNS :Yangdon 607km; Vientien 509 km; Danang 1,010 km & Kuala Lumpa 1,840 km. HOTEL IS ON LEFT. Note also the Google Earth shows the road works as the road is now DUAL CARRIAGE WAY AND NOW LOOKS DIFFERENT.. If you miss Resort go back using U-Turns.

For the price you pay, this is probably the best hotel to stay at. The hotel room was very clean and tidy and it was spacious enough [for me]. Bathroom / toilet was also nice and clean. I could hear the music from the ground floor bar / restaurant, and to be perfectly honest, I didn't particularly like that, but this is not a 5 star hotel - you can't really expect soundproofing windows, walls and ceilings used in the hotel The bar / restaurant on the ground floor, which is basically a part of the hotel, is kind of chic though. Food served is not spectacular but good. Especially given that Phitsanulok is a small town (whose population size is 84,000) and this is basically a budget hotel in the small town, the bar / restaurant offers a pretty good selection of beers and wines - i was not expecting that. (I can only wish that they used a soundproofing ceiling here.) Let me put it this way. If I go visit Phitsanulok / Sukhothai again, I'll be staying here.
