"Everything you could need for a short or long term stay. Comfy bunk beds, clean sheets, great common areas, plenty of kitchen storage and a pool to cool off in. The reception staff were always friendly and full of knowledge. Only thing would be more thorough cleaning of the rooms. Mine was an all female room with en-suite and the bathroom/shower could do with a deep clean. I stayed four days and it wasn't touched to my knowledge. Also things left by previous tenants weren't picked up on but I understand its hard to keep up with lots of travellers cominnand going. The common areas and kitchen were always clean and tidy and ice cold water being available was a nice touch! Would come back again no hesitation! A great hostel!! "

"We booked a queen studio room and I have to say, after staying in plenty of motels in my time this has to be the best! You can't beat the location - a few steps to the beach and a short 5 minute stroll to the main street of Port. The rooms have been renovated and I really commend the owner's on the tasteful and modern decor - far better than The Mantra and almost as nice as The Sea Temple.. ! Rooms had wifi, a fridge and big screened T.V, and the bed was really comfy - a proper queen bed, not 2 singles pushed together like most hotels. Nice bathroom but bring your own toiletries. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful and the garden had banana trees, papaya and other exotic things - a lovely tropical touch! I have stayed at many places in Port Douglas on business and sadly I feel most are outdated - you pay top dollar for something that looks like it has aged a few decades.. The Port Douglas Motel does look a little retro from the exterior but once inside it competes with others that charge twice the price. This will definitely be the one I choose in future. "

"Our encounter with Paradise Link Resort started with a 5/5! Firstly I accidently double booked my accommodation, so they said they will definately sort something out and was able to get me in that night (instead of the following night I accidently booked). We then rocked up at 8am from a red eye flight from Perth, we only had 2 hours sleep and was praying they could get us in early (we were doubtful, but worth a shot!). They gave us a towel to rest by the pool on their sunbeds whilst they got our room ready. Half an hour later - presto! We were so thankful. Thanks John! Once we awoke mid morning, we asked the front desk for some help on activities etc. Again, very helpful and attentive. The room itself was very clean, had all your amenties. Big shower! The weather wasnt the best unfortunately so we didnt use the pool, but there is one available. We had a rental car, so didnt need to stay right in the heart of Port Douglas. Its probably a 3-5 minute drive into Port Douglas' main street. But most of the decent resorts are a not on the main street. But there is a free shuttle bus that takes you in and out of town from paradise link and other resorts. Overall a super pleassant stay, carefree, easy going place and would definately stay here again when I return to port Douglas"

"We were in Port Douglas to go and dive the Great Barrier Reef. The apartment is close to the wharf and right down in the happening area of Port Douglas. It is also close to a grocery and many restaurants. We came in late so was not greeted by the staff but they left a note so we could easily get to our apartment. There was also a car park so we didn't have to leave our rental car on the street. I would recommend the apartments to anyone going to Port Douglas."
