"This hotel was advertised as a 3.5 Star Hotel, with a fantastic breakfast. Neither were true. For the money we paid, it was excellent value. Beds were very comfortable and it was spotlessly clean, although my wife's bed sheet had a hole, as did a hand towel. As it was, we weren't looking for 3.5 star, just somewhere comfortable in the centre of Ratchaburi, and this was perfect. Breakfast had a huge variety, but eggs were cold, the toaster made the bread warm (would have needed 5 goes to make the bread brown, the home made jam was unusual, but the coffee from their neat little machine was superb. I will probably use this hotel again."

"To be fair I would have given 4 stars if they understood me. Visited a friend in town. It is only two hours by train or bus from bangkok. Dont book online. Best to take train there for about 80 baht, and bus back. Booked A/C room. Given a fan room instead, i booked through agoda and the clerk at hotel did not understand me. I kept fan room because it was comfortable temperature, though a few mosquitos. The bathroom was strange. Wet room. First time No sprayer at toilet. And had to fill bucket to flush, no big thing to me but some may not like. The actual hotel is huge. I think some of it is local apartments with shared showers. Two wings of hotel. One side is guests other is apartments or rooms . Walls are thin but cielings 12 feet high and hall and room divided at top with spaces for air to circulate. Keeps it cooler all around. Hotel right in city center, lots of food, and fresher air than bangkok. 3 blocks from river where zumba classes are at night and night market is. Everything shuts down about 9 pm and shops shut at about 7. Basically a amall town . Town is known for caves to explore and a huge bat population that flys a route like an alarm clock, neat. I suggest have long sleeves if exploring. Dont want a bat bite. Some caves you dont want to explore in rainy season. They will flood Best thing, noone hawking on the streets for massage or sex. I saw only 4 massage parlours. I walked into massage place and it looked respectful though two offered soapy massage. I walked in and said oil massage, and mama called a younger woman out from back, she gave good massage in the back (300 baht) while my friend got thai massage (250 baht) in front. She did not try to upsell but still gave happy ending without asking . I tipped well and got a big hug. I think she was used to little or no tip. I think she limed me too because not many white men in town. I recommend it if you have had bad services in bangkok."
