"the location is good, close to city center, can walk to the city center. the place is big, has a lot of space in the room. the kitchen is too small, for so many people need to cook, it's too busy. the management of this hostle is good. if u need to join tours, it's convient to stay here, because it's the bus terminal as well. some rooms smells bad, because too small windows and some people don't want to open the windows. the cleaness of the place is good. most of the staffs are nice, one or two of them are lack of patience. "We booked a studio, but was given a 2 bedroom unit with living room, dining table and kitchenette, which was perfect for the 3 of us! Only grouse is that our room was at the building behind the reception building. Although there was a ramp for the luggage, it was a pretty steep ramp, and that made moving our heavy suitcases really tricky. Overall, still a good stay. Wish we can stay longer!"

"This is an excellent choice for Reykjavik. The location cannot get more central than Radisson 1919. The rooms were smart and functional, the service was friendly and prompt. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. But attention to detail was lacking on two counts - the shower head and shower area could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Same thing with some of the tables during breakfast time."

"Breakfast is served in the restaurant (for example) from 7am to 10am. If we come late , we cannot catch up the food because the restaurant staff remove all the food at 10am. The restaurant staff are not friendly and they do not know how to serve the customers. I suggest that the Hotel Management should provide training for their restaurant staff to better serve the customers."

"First, the location is really great. You can walk from the bus station in 10 minutes, and the heart of the city is maximim 10 minutes walk further. Being between the station and the heart of the city is ideal if you have an evening flight as you can leave your bag here while you sightsee and then grab it on the way to the station with no backtracking. The iconic Hallgrimskirkja is only a minute or 2 away. The room was super basic with a bed, a shelf, a sink, and a lamp, but clean and comfortable - it was cold outside but cozy inside. The shared bathroom was spotless. It is cleaned multiple times per day. Breakfast was typical with several options (bread, cheese, meat, eggs, cereal, etc). Wonderful stay!"

"It was a quite nice room, but what completely destroyed the experience were the bathing facilities. For some reason you cannot close the window, which makes it utterly cold to take a shower or go to the bathroom. We tried to talk with the manager about the issue, but he just stated, that it was a choice made by the guesthouse due to the fact, that they wanted pure air in the bathroom. That would probably make sense in a tropical country - but in Reykjavík in March the temperature is around the freezing point. I would recommend going if you are ready to obtain a urin infection and would like a cheap room with nice shared kitchen facilities. But before they change the coolness in the bathroom, I can not recommend"
