I will return to CoconutsPalm!”

following my earlier review, i decided to stay on at CoconutsPalm an extra 8 nights simply because i became so -at home- there. A few extra things to credit: The staff are welcoming and professional. The kitchen staff produce quality food and because the jovial resort owner is French, the menu reflects this with a mix of authentic Thai dishes and some European dishes, all very well prepared and reasonably priced. The Nicoise salad is a winner, also the creme brulee. The cleaning staff are very efficient and unobtrusive - arriving as a team of four to thoroughly clean and tidy the bungalow. A special mention and thank you to Fred, the resort manager, whose relaxed, social and hospitable professionalism makes the resort the pleasure to stay at that it is. Lamai, for me, after many visits to Koh Samui, remains my favourite area of the island. Lamai has a nice balance between being peaceful and being well-served with all conveniences, services and entertainments.

Great new resort”

we enjoyed our stay at CoconutsPalm Resort. the staff is very kind, always there to help you. The breakfast was fine, with more salty food than sweet. Our bungalow was beautiful and clean, with a direct view to the pool. the resort is located in a quiet area, which is good of you want to relax for a few days. However, the resort has some imperfections, probably because it's a new place. In our bungalow, the towel bars & ring were not correctly attached to the wall of the bathroom. If you want to explore the island, you'll have to rent a motorbike or call a taxi, because the hotel is located in a quiet part of Koh Samui. And finally, there were some minor construction things, but this is understandable since this is a brand new place. if they fix all these minor imperfections, this resort would be perfect.

Very Nice Stay”

We even extended our stay for 2 more nights at CoconutsPalm Resort. The stuff is very friendly and competent. They also take the time to explain you the offers around the island. The room was very clean and the furniture nice and taken care of. Based on the previous comments we have not booked breakfast In the first place (they said it wouldn’t be good), but after we saw the breakfast, we decided to book it for the extended stay too. So from our experience the breakfast was good! Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and can definitely recommend the resort! What we also felt very positive about was that the Hotel Management was really interested into continues improvement by asking the guests during check out. 👍

Excellent”

This is a small resort with a well designed layout including a comfortable bar and dining area, a beautiful pool and well kept grounds. The choices in the restaurant were always well prepared, presented and reasonably priced. A special mention goes to Sky for his attentive service and friendliness. The resort owner was also on hand every day should you have any problems. We had a faulty kettle and a seriously dangerous coffee table which were both fixed without delay or question. Our room had the bed in a raised alcove which was reached by two concrete steps, which did concern me should one need the bathroom during the night. It was a huge bed but there was no space either side so you needed to shuffle to the foot of the bed to get up. The choices for breakfast were adequate and did change every day. However, although some dishes appeared to be in 'warming servers', nothing was ever hot and hardly even luke warm. There is nothing worse than cold noodles or fried rice! If you wanted 'hot' you could cook eggs over a couple of hot plates. Regarding location, it is quite isolated, tucked away up a long driveway just off the main road to Lamai town (4km away). It is not near a safe beach or within walking distance of one. Beaches and Lamai town were only accessible either with a hired moped/motorcycle or a taxi. Taking the cost of a taxi into account (600 bht return) it was less costly to stay at the hotel to eat where one night a week they offered a fixed menu and live music. If you want somewhere quiet and secluded, with a relaxed atmosphere this may well suit you, if you are brave enough to hire a motorbike. There was one major problem, however, which could not be ignored. Each time we returned to our room there was an unpleasant smell of drains and we would quite often hear gases bubbling up through the toilet! On our last night the smell was overpowering and nauseating. We hoped to disperse the fumes by use of constant air conditioning but it wasn't much help so end

Secret Escape”

We stayed here last days of December 2017. The resort was kind of new the decoration was great you will really feel that you are in asia (Thailand). Very calm place good for people who really want to relax and take it easy.The place was clean,the pool was great they even have board games and billiard table where you can spend time when the weather is bad. Our bungalow was nice facing the pool near the bar. Prices of the food not bad. Staff we’re helpful even though not everybody speak good english but fine. The owner was very friendly. The manager was very helpful. Resort is very near to Lamai beach which was fascinating. (need to rent a scooter to roam around is much better). Room for improvement; I think to be more quicker on serving the dishes. But overall experience was great! We enjoyed it.

Exceptional”

We had a wonderful time at CoconutsPalm. We were nicely welcomed and all the staff was steadily caring and making sure we are spending a very nice time. Also, the reception desk is very reactive and we received the best information to see the unforgettable spots on the island and spend great holidays.

I would like to recommend this resort to anyone who loves to travel with family or couples, for me it's unbelievable this is my first traveling in samui without hotel reservations and I got lucky 😊. but coconut palm resort it's was quite due to covit 19 no guest in house only us. I hope fully everyone will enjoy ❤

Stop-over for a night, we came back again 5 days later!”

We needed accommodation for 1 night on our way to to wedding on Koh Samui and our son found Coconuts Palm for us. We were very impressed with the lovely setting - all the rooms faced onto the crystal blue pool and the bar/Restaurant was right there too! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and the drinks were cold! The rooms were comfortable, with a super outdoor patio where you could sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening sundowner. We enjoyed our stay so much so, that we booked for a second night on our return journey to Surat Thani, bringing our son & his partner with us as they had been in very disappointing accommodation the first night we arrived before the wedding accommodation. The hotel even arranged our transport to the Pier the following day for us to catch our catamaran back to the mainland.

New, clean value for money”

What stands out that this is a place that is new and not run down by many years of occupation as most places in Samui. Impressive big rocks next to the restaurant - quiet and out of the night-life zone only 10 min south of Lamai main tourist street

Perfect hotel”

The staff was very accommodating with any request you have, they also offer motorbike rentals (you will need it in lamai). Hotel is situated in a decent area not far from lamai beach by bike. Hotel was clean and pool was nice. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side but the food is great

Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend but you will need a scooter or car ”

From the moment we walked in, till the moment we left, we were well looked after and everything was spot on. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room with access to a smaller pool. The main pool was a good size and was also lovely. They had darts and pool for entertainment. Pool table was more like a small snooker table and very good. If you wanna play darts, bring your own darts, the ones available are rubbish. The best thing about the stay was the breakfast. So much variety and they had something different daily. You could make your own eggs the way you want or ask a member of staff to make them for you. Best breakfast buffet I've had in a hotel. Management very helpful. The guy in the morning and lady at night very brilliant. I would recommend hiring a scooter where they offer insurance. The company they use does not offer it. Only downside to this resort was that it only had a small number of restaurants near it. For the main areas we had to get a scooter

Nice staff, good food, clean room”

The staff is very nice and helpful, the hotel is located 5minutes away from Lamai Beach by scooter. The food is great. The surroundings are really well kept. They have a pool table and dart board. The private pool for the bungalows is amazing with the lush vegetation it gives a nice private feels.

Nice new place”

Really good new resort which is very clean, cool and with an Ibiza beach club feel to it. The staff are great and sitting around the pool is lovely. We had a great room which (Altho hot due to poor a/c) was very good value for money. Only downside is that it's not near anything, so we just stayed at the resort tor 3 days. You need a scooter to get around if not. Food was nice in the evening but breakfast should be improved. A bit of variety for evening meals would be nice. Overall, would definitely stay again in this new and cool place.

Great little find ”

We stayed in the Tropical Suite which lead out to a private pool shared with 8-10 other rooms. We were there in low season which meant the resort was very quiet, a bonus for us as we had the pool all to ourselves. The staff are fantastic, super helpful and friendly. The property grounds a lovely with an on-site restaurant and bar serving all day. The rooms are modern, clean and with good facilities - having the deck out to the pool was divine!

Beautiful Resort ”

The resort was beautiful. The staff was incredible. It’s a little far from the beach, but close enough to walk. The pre-fix dinner & breakfast option is the best deal out there.

Nice little affordable resort”

Lovely staff, clean room, nice pool, good a/c, good decoration, good value for money with agoda. Location not ideal, but works well with a scooter (rented in resort). Breakfast rather expensive

Best Hotel Ever”

The most beautiful hotel that we have ever been on, to a price that everybody can afford. The hotel is so completed all the way around. Everything works everyday - which isn´t a course in Thailand. The best aroma you can find. The hotel just have thing that you can not buy, it is unique. Service is really good, they do literally everything for you when you need it. We were so happy to be there

My review is based on 17 years working in three hotels located in the middle of Manhattan. Also i just want to let you know that i was in Thailand four times . 1. This resort is only 5 months old and is already dirty. 2. Bathroom is not clean properly , cleaning stuff is very nice but they are not properly train , sink is not attach correctly. There is salt water in the shower . Shower gel is so small that you need to have magnifying glass to find it. Also there is a bad smell from the sewer. You can also smell this outside and I think because of that they stated digging in front of bungalow. 3.They are short with towels ....you have one towel per day and you have to use same towel by the pool.( bdw Towel like this cost less than 99 cent in U.S) 4. Restaurant: very good food , 5. Front Desk: usually there is nobody there, if there is you won't be able to communicate. The only person who can speak English is a manager. He unfortunately has to lie to you about everything. I understand that because he has to , that's the part of his job to cover all hotel problems - it happens in every hotel. 6. Pool is nice 7. Location: it's around 7 min to Lamai Beach by motorbike . Because i never been in Samui before I didn't know where is good or bad location. If I would have to come again I would get bungalow within walking distance to Lamai beach. 8. WiFi is not working properly, there is a days work very good and some days not working at all 9. They have speakers installed all over the property playing music all day long- that's now what I'm looking for on vacation.

Excellent hotel in very good location ”

I stayed in this hotel with my partner for 3 weeks and I can say it was one of the best I have ever been! The location was very good. Away from the noise and closed to everything. room was very clean and had a beautiful balcony to enjoy sitting. Stuff was very helpful and smiling all the time. We had the feeling that everybody was our family!!! Speciall thanks to sky the barman and tzai from reception. But the biggest thanks to Tierry the owner who treated us so grate and made us feel like home!!!
