Its a very good hotel or lets say resort on Samui. Located on one of the best tranquil beaches - Silver Bay. The ratings of it are very deserved. Because the rooms very very good and looked new. I personally stayed at Grand Sea View Room with huge terrase and my mom in a deluxe sea view room. The view is everything aout the paradise. Many people come to this beach just to relax because of white sand and clear waters. The massage in the hotel is excellent. The food for dining and lunch was very good. Although breakfasts are very poor. And the stuff for breakfast are too lazy. Dont dont ask you what you would like to have. So people who doesn't know that there are choise of omlets or cakes or something else they just eat what they see - some fruits, bread and cheese or smth. You also have to ask for coffee or tea by yourself. I know how the hotel started and I know about the owners as I have friend who knows them and they are smart people. I wish you luck with Crystal bay and your new Crystal Bay Yacht club. But you really have to train stuff. What I didnt like most in the hotel that the tables and seats at the dining-bar zone are designed like old-fashioned beach style. look, its too too boring and not good. Its better to have rotang or plastic furniture then these things. And also this zone for dining and breakfast is too close to the road, so not good desicion. No any security at hotel. Its right on the road between Lamai and Chaweng so the security must be there! Also no gorden, no any territory - only rooms by the beach. Thats why its 3 star only. But for the 3 stars hotel - its perfect and even better then many 4 stars.

Amazing view and even more amazing beach”

We are a backpacking couple who fell in love with this hotel. We booked the same day before our flight left from Bangkok. We got to the hotel around 8:30 at night not knowing what to expect. We were so happily surprised (and grateful) to find that it's paradise!! The beach is your backyard here. We had the cheapest room with no view, however, that did not impact our stay at all as the beach and beautiful views are only steps away from anyone's room. The room is extremely clean with a mini-fridge, great working A/C, 2 bottles of complimentary water, private bathroom, sitting area, flat screen tv and towels. For travelers on a budget (especially longterm travelers), this is the best deal for your money. Not only do you get to experience a secluded beach away from the packed tourist beaches in Koh Samui, but the room is great and makes you feel at home. Wifi is also free in the rooms which is an added plus! Breakfast was included in our stay, although there is not much variety, it's still a plus for mornings when you want to grab a quick bite to eat and head to the beach. The pool is also amazing and the restaurant has tables all around the pool, bar and deck near the beach view. We booked for 1 night originally, but once we saw how clean and nice the rooms were and how beautiful the backyard beach is, we booked 2 more nights. Recommendation: Rent a scooter! It's only around $6 USD a day for a 24 hour rental. You can explore the the island (Lamai and Chaweng areas) with a scooter and it's loads of fun!

Beautiful,exceptional hotel”

My husband and I loved this hotel so much we extended our stay twice!!! Everything about our stay here was magical. We were on our honeymoon and wanted somewhere quiet but still within easy access to the two main areas of Samui. The location of this resort was perfect.....right in between Lamai and Chaweng beaches. The resort is in a small bay with only a handful of small resorts on it. They all work together to keep it clean. It is a beautiful beach. The food at the resort was also very good as was the breakfast. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful stay, and will help you with anything. We left feeling more like family than guests If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing hotel.....look no further. The best part too.....it is so close to all the night life without having to stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle. A quick taxi ride in either direction and you have your choice entertainment. The rooms were clean and large, as were the bathrooms. We plan to go back next year!!!

Unbelievly great location...one of the best beaches of Koh Samui”

This is one of the best resort in Koh Samui...the beach just in front of the resort..you can get down on the beach directly from your room...the staffs were very friendly...you can also enjoy a mesmerizing sunrise from your balcony or even room over silver beach...their food was ok...other happening places like Lamai and Chaweng beach is not so far from this resort...overall highly recommended if u come in Koh Samui with family or spouse...

A wonderful secret place ..secret no more ”

Crystal Bay is a wonderful location... we first discovered the resort and amazing beach around 4 yrs ago it was very quiet but now its busy opened up to everyone by every tour guide in koh samui ... The hotel is a typical 3 star but depending on which room you choose it can be perfect view The staff are excellent but then Thai people are so nice ... The apartments are ok but tired If I have a negative would be Ants in the room and on the bed and I mean loads ants that bite ... The mattress is to hard ..the pillows are so thick and hard also I actually did not sleep well the entire holiday They changed the pillows to much thinner ones but still these were like very hard in the end I folded a beach towel and this was fine for my pillow Price is ok compared to others along this coastline. Transport is easy to other areas And tuk tuks are plenty Do the day trip to koh tai or stop a few days

Crystal Bay is by far the best beach on Koh Samui, People come from all over the island to use the beautiful beach and crystal clear waters, There is many different beach front restaurants & bars so you can have a full day relaxing, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and much moor, Barry & Pam, England

A very bwautiful resort with fantastic view and even more beautiful beach in front”

The sea view rooms were awesome. One can enjoy a pristine sunrise on the bay from his/her balcony or even from the bed. The silver beach is just downstairs from some of the rooms. The breakfast was tasty and the staffs were very helpful and heartwarming. The location of the resort is in a great position with the two most happening beaches of Samui (Lamai & Chaweng) is not so far from it, one can easily grab a taxi or car to go other sights. Overall, it was a memorable experience to stay in that resort.

Definitely the best hotel”

In Crystal Bay we experienced the best customer service we have ever seen, hotel owner and hotel manager were very helpful and we got a very nice room with the see view for really great price. Hotel staff helped us also with the car rental and gave us good tips what to visit on the island during our stay (not only the typical tourist sights). All the people were very nice, friendly and smiling all the time. Rooms were really nice and clean. Food and drinks were just amazing. Hotel has its own private beach. We also visited some other hotels on the island but this one was definitely No.1, we can only recommend this place. Thank you!

It was amazing”

I would love to keep this gem to myself but I think they deserve a much better rating. I had an amazingggg time here. I booked the sea view deluxe and I get to see the sea and sunrise in the morning! The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Toilet is nice too (I am pretty particular about toilet). The towels are folded like swans on the bed and to me this was a nice touch. The beach is known as silver beach and it is basically like a private beach. It is not crowded at all. And the water is clear and shallow. There are also fishes jus by the shore. There is only one area for people to access the sea due to the rocks. At night if you wanna stargaze, please bring along a towel and mosquito repellent. When it is a clear day you dun jus get to see a sky full of stars but also shooting stars every 15-30mins? There is also a resident Labrador which is damn adorable! He also comes out when the sunset and during the nite. The food at the restaurant is Aroi mak mak(very delicious). I had their pad Thai, basil pork with rice, chicken satay. The fried ice cream and duck noodle was just mediocre. Convenience store is just 200m down the road. Now let's come to the downside, the breakfast variety is not great and way too much flies. The pool is abit too small and It is located at the restaurant so I didn't use the pool during my stay. But they have like 'seats' in the pool where u can have your drinks there and then. There is nothing much around the area so you have to ride a bike or take a taxi. They have regular taxi drivers jus outside the resort. I met a nice driver by the name of nic who charges reasonably but you have to 'bargain'. There is also a Muay Thai school called Pinoy Muay Thai jus down down the road about 5minutes car ride. If you are fit and would like to learn some Muay Thai, it is a great workout. The next time if I am back in Koh Samui, I will definitely stay here again!

We had a pleasant stay at Crystal Bay Beach Resort. The bay is AMAZING!! To be steps away from such a beautiful, crystal clear bay would be enough for a five star rating!! That said, the hotel is really nice and they clean your room very well everyday. I think it is the nicest beach on the Island!

Short stay”

What a amazing place, Crystal Bay is without doubt the best small beach in Koh Samui, it as crystal clear water and the few hotels there are well worth the money, would recommend this to anyone 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Great spot, great vibe, great value!!”

Checked into the Crystal Bay for a relaxed 4 day stay away from the more frenetic chaos around the rest of the island & I certainly wasn’t disappointed?! The location was picture postcard perfection & incredibly peaceful! The hotel was perfectly situated on the beach, the rooms spacious, clean & well presented and the staff incredibly friendly & helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a fabulous relaxing well priced stay!!

i loved our stay at crystal bay resort. a bit pricey but worth it. it's just on the outskirts of lamai. if you're looking for tranquility and inspiration this is the spot. it's about a 20 minute walk to the main lamai area. there is a restaurant with a good menu. the staff are pretty relaxed so you may be waiting for service but they are very nice and helpful. the pool is lovely as well and over looks the gorgeous view. beach has the nice powder sand.

Charming hotel with magnificent bay”

We had a 2,5 week honeymoon roundtrip in Thailand. This hotel was definately the best of all. First when we arrived, the owner (a nice dutch guy) gave us complimentary room upgrade. Our room was big, and very clean and nice. The staff did everything to make our mood the best. They were also proactive. The hotel has a nice bay with clear water (6 hotels share this nice bay, so it's not crowded). Both Chawend and Lamai are close (Lamai is walking distance). The breakfast was awesome on the pool side. There is a cheap loundry service, travel agent, and good restaurant within 4 minutes walking. We ate there every night.

excellent little quiet resort”

I had a very good two week stay here recently, as wanted to get away yet wanted a quieter part of the island and a not so large resort to stay in. Crystal Bay really hit all the boxes. Firstly, the location is perfect. The resort is located down the end of a small private beach, with a handful of other small resorts sharing the strip. The beach is great and perfect for snorkelling. I stayed in one of the beach facing rooms which was quite large and very comfy for this length of a stay. I know the new management have put some work into updating the resort as a whole, one feature was installing a new shower system. I hope they can update the rooms a bit as it felt slightly basic, perhaps new bed bases/headrest/flatscreen tv's. None of this put me off however as the view from the private balcony was awesome. I can recommend this to solo travellers/couples wanting a slightly quieter place to relax over the bigger resorts.

Yes, recommended”

Rooms are spotless clean. We had two different rooms. The first a triple was at roadside, but still quiet. Huge room, bright and white bathroom. Bed was okay. The second room (garden view) was even more awesome! The best bed we ever had in Thailand! We kept coming back to it to just enjoy it. Soft, fluffy, white bedding. Loved it so much. Cute towels in elephant shape. The room even had a bit of (side) seaview. I would recommend this room of available. The pool is big enough. The shaded terrace is smart. It can get hot. The staff is nice and attentive... I find the beach and bay very nice compared to other beaches I've seen. Breakfast is quite alright, but also expensive. So is the restaurant. However -in contrast- I've found the rooms/resort of good price/performance ratio. For that, yes,recommended.

Beautiful beachfront room”

One of most beautiful beaches in Samui. Didn’t even want to go and explore the others :) The location is awesome for those who rent a motorbike or a car,-center of both Lamai and Chaweng are easily reachable. Without a bike pretty a long walk, but hotel provides a shuttle to Lamai. The staff decorated our room as it was our honeymoon and were very nice and helpful during all our stay. We rented the beachfront room and we liked everything about it

Excellent location, lacking comfort!”

We stayed here 3 nights. What the resort has is a beautiful location, the best beach in Koh Samui. It has an excellent breakfast for its guests. What we really did not enjoy was the room. We stayed in the Standard Room, it has all the necessary things, but the bed was terrible! The bathroom is designed very weirdly with you having to cross the shower area to reach the toilet. When showering the water runs along the bathroom floor, so your feet will always be wet when trying to use the toilet.
