When Reality Exceeded Expectations!”

1. I get it, Krabi is really intended for honeymooners. And our room has that kind of vibe. The light curtains hanging on top of our bed, to the complimentary flower and fruits, the dim light, the free rose petals at the bathtub, the huge bright green cushion chair at the balcony, etc. Yes, everything I asked for a cozy room has been delivered. Matter of fact, it exceeded from what I envisioned it to be. Bravo, Deevana Plaza Krabi Aonang! 2. The private access pool (paid privilege) come handy since we both love swimming. Having experienced this, my future resort bookings would definitely have this. 3. The best free breakfast in Thailand among the three hotels we've been to. While most hotels only provide eggs, sausages, bread and coffee; Deevana Plaza Krabi Aonang offers a buffet. Choose from the freshest and wide selection of tropical fruits, different kinds of bread, Asian-breakfast. And they even have bacon. Just ask the waiters and they will provide you as this is separated and only available upon request. 4. And finally, the staff are very accommodating. One lady (sorry, I didn't get her name) even provided two orchids on our bed after our dinner. We passed her by and exchanged our 'Sawasdees' as we went for dinner. And upon our return to our room, the orchids (plus extra towel) were already on our bed. Thanks for the simple gift. It was really appreciated. Indeed, when reality exceeded all expectations, that’s bliss!

Nice Hotel For Those On A Budget”

We have been to Ao Nang many times and had stayed in another nearby hotel (Centara Anda Dhevi) and knew the location of the Deevana. Since our usual hotel (Dhevi) was a little expensive this time we decided to go for the cheaper option of the Deevana. We expected that we would get what we paid for but were pleasantly surprised. It was a similar standard to the Anda Dhevi but at about 2/3 the price. Being a larger hotel the Deevana also offered some facilities that the Anda Dhevi did not. So we were very happy. We also stayed in the Cliff Beach resort on this visit to Ao Nang and for a similar price (garden room at the Cliff Beach) the Deevana is probably a better hotel except that its location is not as central. We are a family of 4, two boys aged 15 and 12. We have travelled extensively in Thailand and have stayed in a lot of other hotels with which we can compare. We stayed 4 nights. This is a four star hotel and that seems about right. The check in was straight forward. Our rooms (we booked two) were not quite ready (we arrived a little before 2pm) but they expedited the cleaning and gave us first one room followed shortly by the second. We booked two adjoining rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two singles. The rooms were located on the 4th floor in Block 5 (5404/5405). There are a total of 213 rooms in this hotel and all face the pool and other rooms on the other side of the pool. There is no outside views of any significance but the outlook is good. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated in a modern décor. The bed was comfortable and all facilities in the room worked OK (although we had a few minor issues with room access cards stopping working). The rooms have a safe and you are provided with a beach bag containing two beach towels that can be taken to the pool, the beach or on tours. Nice Property, Good Hospitality - but tucked away in a Corner”

Deevana Plaza Ao Nang is a Nice property, not very big though. Great Service & Hospitality – they have a great team- be it the Front office, room service or restaurant – not the best of locations though. The property is tucked at the end of a road, about a kilometer to the Ao Nang Beach and around 1.5 km to the Main Market near Starbucks & McDonalds. The hotel however does run a shuttle service to Starbucks at regular intervals, its however only one side. I guess the hotel management is doing its best to make the Guests comfortable, the location however is something which is beyond their control. One small improvement they can do is increase shuttle frequency, make it both ways and run it till atleast 9.30 to 10pm. Except for this one thing, everything else was good. Thank you Deevana Plaza.

Remarkable experience”

I was with my husband and 1.5yo son. We had a very great experience in Krabi and made the right choice to stay in Deevana Plaza. Location wise personally I feel this hotel is the most strategic place in between two beaches Aonang & Nopparat Thara. The hotel location is quite secluded from the busy Aonang Beach street (which I love it the most) yet it’s walking distance to that street (abt 10mins walk). Taxi or Tuktuk is accessible just outside the hotel. Aonang Night Market is just few walking distance from the hotel and for muslim, there are plenty of halal restaurants along the way down to the main road & also 7eleven if u need to grab some snacks. As for the hotel facilities, I stayed in the Premier Room. The room is spacious, clean & they make up our room almost everyday. The pool is huge along the building. There’s no guarantee that the breakfast buffet is halal but it’s pork free. My next visit, I want to try the hotel with the pool access! My son would love it!

Our best stay yet in Thailand”

Let's discuss what the Mercure doesn't have...a large pool, one to laze the day away. Instead, they have collection of smaller pools that mostly cater to the ground floor rooms that one can drop straight into the blue. Of course you can always take advantage of the deck chairs and bar drinks but the functionality of the hotel begs you to go and explore Krabi. Without the luxury of a large pool to sit around, we were forced to get out and see the sights, and we did with wild abandon. One day was spent at the Railey beach whilst another was a day trip to Phi Phi island. We even managed to go shooting at the dilapidated range just outside Ao Nang and a fantastic time zip lining at tree tops adventure park. The Mercure is conveniently based a few minutes away from the hustle of Ao Nang beach, and it meant we were able to nice walks each day to the beach road and surrounding areas. There's also the best seafood restaurant a 40 baht tuk tuk away on Noppararat beach called Krua Thara, simply fantastic seafood at half the price of the beach front establishments. With the deal obtained from Agoda.com for under US$35 per night (including breakfast) we really couldn't go wrong, but even with this bargain nugget we were duly impressed with how the mercure sets a standard higher than any other 'value' chain. The care and attention of events, how everything is priced including taxes and service charge, the well kept gym, the polite staff where even the room cleaning was better than a five star hotel. On my birthday I even received a totally unexpected surprise in my room with a delicious chocolate cake! Well played Mercure for leaving us rejuvenated and extremely happy after five great days.

Amazing Hotel”

We absolutely loved staying at the Deevana Plaza Krabi. All the staff were so nice and friendly and happy to help with anything. The location is perfect, not too busy however definitely not too quiet. So close to good beaches, food and massages! We loved everything about the hotel, especially our swim up pool rooms! I will definitely stay at the Deevana Krabi again if I visit and will also look at staying at other Deevana hotels in other holiday destinations if they're available. I will strongly recommend anyone staying in Krabi to stay at the Deevana Plaza. Beautiful Hotel.

Great international buffet breakfast, gd location ”

We had a good stay at Deevana plaza. We were given welcome drinks upon arrival n almost immediately brought up to our rooms. Pls do be prepared to pay a deposit too thou. We paid via cash as if paying via Credit card, the hotel will charge it first n refund it upon check out n the amount will only be credited back 2 to 3 weeks later. The rooms were very clean n cozy with a balcony. The bathroom is very clean too. There is a washing bidet which are very good for muslims like us. The beds are soft n comfy. The AC was very strong n wifi was great in the rooms. The hotel is pretty secluded n quiet but only 5 mins walking distance to a number of halal eateries, massage parlours n a motorbike rental shop. The bike rentals are only about 200bahts per 24hrs! Soo cheap n convenient n we could park it at the hotel too. Breakfast was a wide spread. Pls do ask the chefs manning the food counters if its halal sausages n meats tat they are serving. I did asked n the chef brought out the frozen halal sausages..lol! *Do not leave ur clothes outside to dry* We left our clothes out to dry wen we went out but it rained heavily n our clothes were soaking wet as the rain comes into the balcony area. Theres free shuttle service tat goes to Ao Nang beach too. We didnt take it thou as we had rented bikes... Check out was very fast too. Overall its a nice hotel to stay in...

Great holidays”

The stay at the Deevana Plaza Krabi Aonang was great for me and my friend. Love their location, enjoyed the quiet stay. Easy access to get taxi to get to the town. Convenience store just 5 minutes walk away. Walk out for about 10 - 15 minutes there were some food stalls or restaurants for dinner. The room was clean and in good condition. The staff are very helpful and friendly, always ready to help. We enjoyed our stay here, will definitely recommend my friends to stay with them if they are going to Krabi.

Great Hotel”

A relatively new hotel. We (2 adults n 2 teen) stayed here end November 2012 to early December 2012. Location: While slightly away from Ao Nang centre, getting to Ao Nang is a mere 1 to 2 km walk or about 10 mins leisurely walk or a 20 Baht/person tuk-tuk ride. The hotel has shuttle service (about 6 times daily) to Ao Nang. The path/road to Ao Nang is good. There are also a number of convenience stores and restaurants (Indian/Thai/Italy) food including Swiss Chalet (bar/restaurant) within 200 meters of the hotel. Facilities: The hotel is well kept and pleasant. The architecture is modern/contemporary in design with some amount of traditional artifacts at the lobby (if you are looking for these, Krabi/Ao Nang is not the place). The pool is unique in that it is long. Plenty of sun deck chairs as well as poolside facilities for drinks. It is clean and we enjoyed ourselves at the pool. Did not eat in the hotel as it is not halal. There is a well equipped gym with standard items such as treadmill, etc which was utilised by many though we did not use it. Rooms: Clean with the necessary amenities. Toilets had a bathtub as well. Ours was in block 3 4th floor. We had a double and a twin. 2 500ml of drinking water is provided daily by the hotel as complimentary. The room were spacious and the beds comfotable. I Like their green efforts of every 5 towels re-used will result in 1 plant being planted. Service. People were pleasant. They provided us our reequest for rooms on high floor and connecting room. Beach/Pool towels with carrying bag are provided and these were great.

A value for money resort and spa”

As we drove from the airport to Deevana Plaza, we initially had difficulty finding the resort because of poor road signs in English. Deevana Plaza Krabi signboard was not lighted and could easily be missed by driver at night. We were very pleased that the resort agreed not to collect a deposit from us but just required details of our credit card. We didn't want to pay the deposit as we had already paid for our room in full through Agoda. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade of our room without asking. As August was off peak season, there was good promotional rate at the spa and restaurant which we enjoyed. The resort swimming pools were interesting. Facilities were adequate and room amenities like towels, slippers, umbrella, safe and torch were thoughtfully provided. Only problem were the mosquitoes and if the resort could provide mosquito net it would be great. Overall, my wife and I have a wonderful 3 nights holiday at the resort.

Comfortable stay in a convenient, quiet location”

Had a very comfortable stay over 4 nights at Deevana Plaza. The beds were great and there's really nothing to fault about the rooms. Each room comes with a nice woven beach bag with beach towels included - it was a very nice gesture. The food at the breakfast buffet was decent as well. We also loved that the hotel is located along a quiet little street, away from the hustle and bustle. It's only a short 15-minute walk to Ao Nang beach (the hotel provides regular shuttle bus trips down to the beach but we chose to stroll to the beach everyday). There are plenty of reasonably priced eateries (largely seafood) and massage parlours within a 1-minute walk from the hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights and I must say that Deevana is quite comfortable for family vacation. The pool is nice. The location is near by Ao Nang center by 15mins walking or you can find a TukTuk just outside the hotel. Hotel also provide their shuttle for 100THB per way. For muslim, there are muslim stalls very near to Deevana where the food is nice and cheap. Hotel breakfast variety is ok and my kids love their soft bun & bread. Our check in and check out process was fast and smooth. Only that if the staff can always greet and smile to the guests it will be more credit to Deevana. But the Manager named Katerina is the best. She always greet and smile to other guests. I hope Deevana can maintain the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel. If u plan to stay around Ao Nang area and I suggest to stay at Deevana. Give it a try!

Beautiful hotel, new, great location”

We love the time we stayed in Krabi Deevana Hotel. The hotel is new, beautifully designed & very comfortable to stay. We fell that we should have stayed here longer. The service was excellent & the hotel has a good facility. The staff really provided us with good customer service. When they gave us a room on the low floor (we actually request a room on the high floor), they did spent a lot of time to find a room that suit for both of us, which is we really grateful for the effort they made. Love the swimming pool very much. The location of the hotel is a big plus even though you have to walk a little bit, you still can go to Ao-Nang beach on foot or catch tuk-tuk service which only cost you 20baht per person.

Lovely Resort in Beautiful Ao Nang”

We had a short stay at the Deevana Plaza on our way to Koh Samui. They are fairly central to the main strip of shops, being maybe a 10 minute walk. We had a room with private access to the pool and this was great for that afternoon swim to cool down when we returned from town. The rooms are nice and clean and we had breakfast included. We also loved Ao Nang, it had a real coastal relaxed vibe and I would recommend taking a long boat to Phra Nang Beach. It was such a beautiful place. We were sorry we weren't staying here longer.

Great Hotel”

I have really enjoyed staying at Mercure Krabi Deevana Hotel. The location is good and very close to Ao Nang Beach. The atmosphere is very cosy and friendly. The restaurant served great food. I have regret not book more time there. The swimming pool was great and big. The room was big and clean. This Hotel accept family with more than one child a great feature to many families. I recommend this hotel and the location to all families with children. I will definitely book again at this hotel.

Stayed 4 days with my hubby. We had a great stay and wished we could stay longer. Krabi - Ao Nang is a great island to have a relax and comfortable holiday. And we did the moment we checked into Mercure Krabi Deevana. The hotel is located at a quieter side of Ao Nang, Walking distance to 7-11. I will definitely return here to stay... Thanks!!!

Exactly the kind of hotel I was looking for”

my booking at the mercure krabi deevana was a desperate, last-minute attempt to secure a decent room at peak season when a lot of other hotels and resorts i checked were either booked out or charging exhorbitant, super-peak prices. to my surprise, rooms at the mecure were still available and despite the many positive reviews on various websites, i waited to see what the catch was. to my surprise (and considerable relief) there was none. our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. 2 twin beds had been pushed together to make a huge (larger than regular king-size) bed and as i was travelling with 2 of my teenage sons, we decided that all 3 of us could fit in quite comfortably without having to order in another bed. we asked for an extra pillow and duvet so we would not have to play blanket tug-of-war and these were promptly delivered with a smile. we stayed 2 nights and slept very comfortably. although the hotel was fully aware that there were 3 of us sharing the room, they did not charge us an extra penny for the third person, which i thought was most generous of them. such graciousness in modern hotels is rare indeed and i left the mercure feeling that this was one hotel that knows the real meaning of the word "hospitality".

Excellent hotel, minor maintenance required”

The stay was pleasant with pool access room, especially with a 4mo baby. We took turn to dive into our private-ish pool. Dining was excellent compared to what's available in Ao Nang of moderate prices. Staff are friendly. We spent 6 nights in Ao Nang but stayed only 2 nights in Deevana, was regretting not booking for full 6 nights stay. Need minor maintenance though, the edge of bathtub was mouldy and shower head did not hold in place unless it was in use. Shampoo/Conditioner needs better conditioning.

The best hotel in Krabi Aonang”

3rd time staying in this place, will be also in future. Best hospitality & Best staffs. Newly renovated room was awesome. Breakfast also very good. Location is near to the new night market is an advantage. Spa was awesome too. Looking forward to go every year to relax & enjoy with the lovely staffs at Deevana Plaza. Comfortable. Relaxed.Satisfing!”

We booked for 3 nights deluxe. But as was the plan at arrival I asked to upgrade to pool access. Was done for a fair price. We ended up staying 7 night as we liked it so much. The Staff is very nice and attentive but lacks English skills. I highly recommend the breakfast, yeat the seafood dinner bufet was very poor and I dont know why I broke my rule of eating as far away from the hotel as possible. It may seem the location isnt central but it is, walking distance to beach, and cheap tuk tuk for the lazy. I recommend turning right not left at the junction for a great seafood meal. The hybrid italian / thai restaurants arent as good at ao nang beach. The way to go at Deevana is the pool access, if Your a pool guy its a must...if You dont take it You might not visit the pool once. Great time all in all.
