No phone or hair dryer n room,, bellboy for luggage, no wheelchair for my husband. Tv needs setup by someone, no soap bar at the sink so go to shower to use, lighting is not very bright I opened curtains for better lighting. No laundry or restaurant at hotel. Breakfast only 6 floor only fans. Good location, clean, 80 bt breakfast. Coffee and tea free on 1st floor. Receptionist ok, Nancy at breakfast is very good. She’s nice and gives a lot of information for you. She is the cook too and works everyday. She is 5 stars! Not 5 stars for hotel overall.

My price was under 600 baht. The room is clean and has what you need. I would like a softer bed, but, people who traveled with us liked the firmness. It's located by lots of places to eat.
I’m not one for complaining or leaving unfair reviews, but honestly people need to be aware of what they paying for at this hotel. The room : it was ok, basic but clean and had a very small balcony, only 1 chair though, so we asked at reception for another chair to sit on the balcony together and was told “no”, we persisted and were eventually (begrudgingly) allowed another chair. The location : decent location, restaurants/shops etc in the immediate vicinity. The facilities : a joke! Advertised as having a bar, there isn’t one, also advertised as having a restaurant, which is actually a breakfast room on the top floor only open 7am-9am, that 2 hours is the only time you can actually access the rooftop, and the breakfast isn’t worth 100 baht. It says it has a snack bar, game room, bbq facilities…honestly the list goes on, it doesn’t have any of this at all, it’s like they just randomly ticked every box on the facilities list when creating the listing! We did ask about these things at reception and we were met with a blank look. The view : the listing says the hotel has mountain and garden views, my actual room was supposed to have a garden view, there are no mountains or gardens within sight of this hotel, towards the back of the hotel there are a couple of trees in a neighbouring garden, I don’t think this qualifies as garden views, it is pretty much concrete everywhere. We were originally given a room on the 2nd floor, my “garden view” was the wall of another building, a load of electric wires and a huge electric box that made a constant buzzing noise, I asked reception to move us to a room with the garden view as reserved, I was told there is no rooms with garden views and the best they could do was move us up 2 floors to get us above the huge buzzing box and wires. I don’t recommend this hotel at all, it’s not value for money and their advertised facilities/features are mostly untrue.

The hotel is an easy 15’ walk from the chumphon railway station. I had arrived very early in the morning, and they allowed me to check in and rest after a tiring train ride from BKK. That was very much appreciated. It is centrally located between a huge wet market and the night market. Cleaning of the room was every day, except that I did not need that service so frequently. Reception staff had little English but they were patient and we managed to communicate, without much difficulty. I was given a calm and good sized room away from a noisy main road, with a king sized bed. Copious amounts of hot water for showering and free hot water at the restaurant area for tea and coffee. My stay here was very comfortable, and I would certainly come again, should I return to Chumphon.
