Great Residence Suvarnabhumi Hotel
Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"We live in Thailand and have stayed in many hotels throughout the country over a number of years. We werer staying one night to say goodbye to my daughter who was emigrating to Korea. The hotel was minutes away from the Airport so we benefitted from the 2 way transfer. This was on time, no waiting and efficient. Saved me driving and parking at the Airport. Huge plus. Booking in was excellently handled as the English spoken by the staff was very good. Better than most English we hear. The room was large enough to also have a single bed in the room. The balcony overlooked a small lake at the end of the klong, giving a real sense of privacy. Amazingly although next to a main road, with Aircraft flying almost overhead, there was no noise. Considering how close we were to the Airport I was impressed by the peacefulness throughout the hotel. The beds in Thailand are almost always too hard. Whist ours seemed hard at first testing, we noticed that we both slept well with none of the aching backs normally suffered. In fact I would say the bed was excellent. Nice big quilt too. Nice to snuggle under when the Air Con gets going. Excellent again. The deal included a buffet breakfast, which was adequate. A choice of fried eggs, chicken sausage and ham (ABF) and some thai dishes. Lashings of toast and jam, tea, coffee, orange juice etc. Help yourself, which I like as it means I get properly cooked toast. To a Thai, toast means warm bread, not the golden brown we farangs know. The swimming pool looked inviting but time was against us. But a nice size for those looking to relax in the sun for a few hours. I particularly liked the fact that the hotel is with metres of the new bicycle lane which runs into Bangkok. The hotel rents out bikes which actually look reasonably decent ones. Great for those keen types. Fishing in the klong too, and will cook your catch too. Free, you pay for the ingredients only. Judging this hotel against similar in its price range (we paid under Bht900) I "

Marisa Residence

"Marisa Residence would be a perfect choice for those who wants to stay in a nice studio apartment, away from Bangkok's crowd. The place is relatively quite far from Bangkok main attraction (around 20 minutes to Siam station) , however BTS is quite near (500M away). I have a pleasant time throughout my stay, however they do not offer daily cleaning for your room, so you have to clean it on your own"

Around The World Bed and Breakfast

"Stay for 3 nights. It's a nice hotel to stay and very easy to find. Location of the hotel is very good. Restaurant and shopping complex located very near by. Hotel offers nice view of city from the rooms. Amazing place, spacious room, huge space and lovely bathroom. The most important things for me are cleanliness, which the room was very clean, tidy and perfect. Receptionist staff with the name is Cassy, if I'm not mistaken was very helpful and very friendly especially when I asked about direction. I will stay in this hotel when I'm travel to Bangkok and would recommend this if you are looking for budget hotel for comfortable stay."

"The hotel is brand new, clean and nicely located in the middle of nature: it does not feel like your are in Bangkok anymore. The owner is very nice and helpful. Having the possibility to use anytime the hotel's bicycles was super convenient to have food at the nearby floating market, visit the park or the Siamese Fish Gallery. We had a great time!"

"Just a quick overnight staycation, but absolutely floored by the location. I took a longtail boat in the evening (less than a dollar) from the Klong Toei ferry dock, and landed on the Bang Krachao side. Turned left as I stepped off the pier, walked not more than 20 metres and there's a tiny gate where the nightman welcome us. We walked into a green property that is not less than 5 hectares, in the shape of a rectangle with one of the short sides bordering the river (where the ferry is) and the other bordering one of the roads in Bangkrachao. He walked us across the property to our tent. The tent was spacious (I'm six feet and could easily stand inside) and included a fan, little table, two bottled waters and a light. We asked where we could get dinner and he kindly offered to go buy it for us. We handed over about six dollars and he went to fetch some Thai basil chicken with rice. We asked for directions to the pool and headed over for a late night swim, it was fantastic. The tent was a little warm of course, but it's Thailand. I still feel asleep within minutes. I woke up a little sore but again, it's camping so that's kind of part of the experience. When we woke up, we walked back over to the little gate and right at the ferry terminal is a bike rental shop. We rented two bikes for about 2 dollars each, and then biked around Bangkok's Green Lung for a few hours, including stops for coffee, breakfast and food. Highlights for the uninitiated are the new temple with the giant statue of Ganesh, the not-so floating market in the center of the island and the national park near Punntara. The property also includes several beautiful pool villas (which are really quite big) and are located near the river-side. The tent area is immediately after the pool villas and is on a man-made lake that is surrounded by other buildings. The other end of the property has a coffee shop with siamese fighting fish breeding. It is also used for pre-wedding pictures for couples. The r"
