Cheap and Practical”

If you are looking for a cheap and practical hotel in SG where accomodations are usually expensive then this hotel is for you. Location wise,you can get a Cab from the airport and make sure to mention the hotel's address as there are many fragrance hotel in Balestier Area. The hotel has bus stops in front where you can get and travel to many spots in SG including Orchard,Lau Pa Sat Hawker, VivoCity-Sentosa etc. I actually prefer bus travel as it also allows me to see the beauty of the city-the buildings and its green and very clean sceneries. The room is practical,for three people it was comfortable-it was a double deck where the upper is single and lower is double. They provide towels,shampoo and soap,toothbrush and toothpaste. There is a small fridge.Electric kettle and complimentary tea/coffee.Toilet and Shower is functional and comfortable. The staff are approachable.Wifi is very good. The mattress is very comfortable-the best I had.A good hotel to come to after a days exploring.

Clean Hotel with Friendly Staff”

Ok, the pluses: (1) Fragrance had nice staff, I'm partial because the Staff was Filipina, when we checked-in, she was very approachable and made us feel welcome especially that we were so tired after a day of walking and commuting in Singapore, (2) the rooms and sheets are clean with tolerable noise-proofing, just enough for me to be able to go to sleep without effort and (3) a convenience store and a restaurant is close by in case there is anything guests need to buy. The minuses: (1) the hotel is not accessible via train, the closest MRT station is Lavender, and from here, one may take a bus, one can also get here by bus from Bugis Station and (2) the room we got had a malfunctioning Toilet door, I think it just needs replacement. Other important info, from this hotel to Changgi Airport it's a SG$16 taxi-ride, it was good enough because there were 9 of us traveling so we just split the cost. Overall, my experience was good in this hotel.

Worth Every Penny”

Send lots of thx to the mgmt, bcs actually i ordered at fragrance hotel crystal in geylang, but due to monkeypox issue, i contact the management and they responsively help me by cancelling my order without additional charge! While living in fragrance balestier, the room and service was above my expectation based on other customer reviews, it was clean & the staff also very helpful and warm. Definitely will recommend this one to the others!

One week in SG”

The rooms aren't that spacious but are still very comfortable to stay at. Heads up, if you're used to taking the MRT in going around SG, Fragrance Balestier is not close to a train station. You can take the bus and go to Novena which I think is the nearest station from the hotel (3rd stop from hotel). There are a lot of hawkers and convenience store within the area as well so you don't need to worry about getting hungry or expensive dining. There's nothing special about the facilities of this hotel but they compensate with good customer service. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and this hotel was worth my money.

Clean and good value for money”

Beyond my expection! Affordable and nice! Very clean and provide many things such as towel, toiletries (toothbrush&paste, sanitary bag, soap, shower cap), water boiler and hair dryer. You can use the mug, coffee powder and teabag provided to make some drink. The tv has local and fox channels. Receptionists are polite and welcoming. Many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Daily housekeeping. Not close to mrt but easily accessible by bus. The two nearest bus stops are opp balestier pt across the road, and balestier twrs on the same roadside as the hotel. Nearest mrt is toa payoh.

Good Value for Your Money”

When we were looking for a place to say in SG, we wanted something on the budget but at the same time, a more private place. The hotel room's size is just right especially if you're not traveling with a lot of luggages. The room and bathroom is clean. They give complimentary bottled waters, coffee and tea. It's just that sometimes the Wi-fi is a bit slow, but still working if you are just browsing your social medias account. The location is also good. It's not near to an MRT station but there's a bus stope just a few meters away from the hotel which can bring you to the MRT. Will definitely consider staying in this hotel the next time we visit SG.

Value for money”

The stay at fragrance hotel was a last minute decision. It was booked the night before the stay. Was expecting some hiccups due to last minute booking but surprisingly there was none. The room was clean and the aircon is cold. Wifi has good strength as well. Cheers is located just right outside the hotel which creates some convenience for midnight snack craving. Overall it is a good stay for the price. The receptionist is very friendly. One con would be the location. For non drivers, one would have to switch bus from newton or novena mrt. If this is not a problem for you, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Economical for a short business trip”

I stay in Singapore for 2-3 days a couple of times a year. The Fragrance Balestier Hotel is well located close to my major customer and has plenty of variety of restaurants around serving local food. Convenience stores where I can buy a beer or wine and snacks are also close by. Public transport passes right by the front door. The rooms are adequate for my needs as I just want a comfortable bed and clean facility to retreat to after work.

Fragrance Hotel - Balestier”

PROS Good staff. Very accommodating. Easy check in and check out Clean room A bit small for 3 adults but that's really the usual rooms in SG for the price they offer 1 bottle/person/day and they always restock toiletries and clean the room CONS A bit far from the Marina Bay area. You have to double ride/transfer always. No direct/near link to MRT. So you have you take the bus first to nearest station then MRT. Maybe next time I'll try other Fragrance Hotels nearer.

Affordable for a 3-pax room”

It's my 5th time in Singapore and this is the first time I booked at Fragrance because my usual does not have an available room for 3. Since I've been hearing Fragrance for long, I tried booking and I find the place cozy though it's small. But we don't mind it at all. It is also near the tourist destinations and bus stations so commuting was very easy.

One of the best “Fragrance” chain hotels!”

We stayed in a room-loft like with two beds. It’s like a small apartment unlike the other “Fragrances.” And it felt quite spacious yet minimalist and clean, too. The check-in was super easy. We had an early check-in but the hotel were kindly enough to store our luggage until we were able to get our rooms.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”

It was a pleasant stay. At first, it was quite difficult to find the hotel since there are a few fragrance hotel at the same street. Our taxi driver didn't know which one is the fragrance-balestier. But our child loved the double decker bed. The staff are very helpful and friendly.. unfortunately the hotel is quite far from the MRT station. So we have to take a taxi to go anywhere, which is easily to get.

Exceptional”

A nice place to stay in Singapore. Room is so clear and tidy. They are cleaning the rooms everyday and providing bottled water & tea making facility. Triple room is nicely organized utilizing a minimum space. Clean and fresh looking towels and bed linen are provided which is highly unlikely that we can expect from a budget hotel. Easy access to the bus stop. Really worth for money. However, it is better if there is a bin inside the washroom since it is an essential item.

Perfect”

We enjoyed our stay in Balestier Hotel. The room was super clean. They gave us bottles of water every single day and coffee. Changed sheets every day. The location is just 30 steps from a bus stop. Very convenient

Super location, comfortable and value”

I'm a frequent traveler to Singapore for business and still discover better hotels as I try different ones. The location of this one is super perfect as this time around, I could easily take a bus to East and West Singapore for work meetings, saving tons on grab. The room was perfect for a single business traveler as me as I'm out most times. Otherwise, to rest and hv quiet was perfect. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

hi this is our 2nd time to check in at this hotel and 2nd time also saw this girl at the reception name FAITH coz i saw her name tag. about the hotel everything is perfect except your staff. shes not friendly and i dont know why you put that kind of staff in the reception. 2nd time already i saw her and shes not friendly and not smiling and not approachable not like your other staff. FAITH maybe you can give her a training or remind her that shes working at the customer service. please fragrance hotel give her a training for her customer service. i hope you can work this out.

This outlet is very convient easy to get niCe famous food...important is balestier fragance bed is so comfortable not too soft n hard once u lay down u don have the feeling of body acne why don u try stay in a day n try it

Comfy mattress , simple room ”

The room is a bit small but well arranged there is space under the bed for the luggages, and a kettle for boiling water. Many buses go along balestier road, probably more convenient than taking the metro to Novena. Quiet district , so not noisy at night

The place was close to the city and of course within half an hour we reached the hotel from the Changi airport. The staff was friendly and we had to store our luggage as we came early. They helped with that facility. The room was same as the pictures shown in the pictures and it's good for a small family. A quiet place and clean. They had provided everything they mentioned. Water bottles, bed linen, Towels, hair dryer, electric kettle and all. Our stay was for 3 days and they cleaned the room daily and provided water and coffee ingredients everyday. Bathroom was clean and water came nicely. They had both hot and cold water. Safe place for a family. Liked the place a lot and hope to visit again
