I give this review a title”

Fragrance crystal is clearly a budget hotel. But for about 50USD per night its a great value for the money. Its rather new built, staff is friendly, its calm and comfortable if you want to sleep. Located in geylang, one of the redlight districts. You will see prostitutes on the street at night. But on the other side you can get nearly everything from food to haircuts to groceries in the middle of the night. After checkout at 1200 i could deposit my backpack. And after i got back to pick it up around 2100, i could use the shower/toilet room right next door. This was a big plus.

Top hotel in Geylang”

Again I cannot rave more about the wonderful staffs at Fragrance Crystal. They are friendly, helpful and very accomodating. It makes a world of difference to the stay! Rooms are comfortable, clean and basic facilities replenished daily. Yes, it is located in the midst of more colourful side of Geylang but the hotel is secure and family friendly. Hotel is close to many restaurants, shops and public transport.

Not bad”

We stayed here last Dec 5-9, 2016. The hotel is located in SG's red light district but is totally different from the red light district of Manila. I'd say it is good for a family with children in a tight budget. The location was not bad as you think it is. They girls at night are all inside the apartment type row houses. No bright lights and tables outside. It is 10mins walk to Aljunied Station. There are some affordable restaurants nearby. The hotel room is small but in all fairness, it was very clean and smells sanitized. TV, AC, CR are in good working condition. The receptionists are very helpful. Thank you, Fragrance Hotel Crystal! exceptional value for money”

geylang is not the most desirable location in singapore, but if your searching for a hotel offering exceptional value for money and located close to an mrt station then you will be pretty hard pushed to beat this place. nice compact/clean rooms with good shower facilities and reliable wifi connection.

Exceptional”

Location is a short distance from train but the staff gave us information on where the closest train station was and which of the several buses to take from the from the MRT Kalange train station. Tthere are buses that take to the Crystal. The bus that arrives at the front of the Crystal Hotel is a few minutes to the door. The bus that takes you to the back of the hotel is a 1 (one) minute walk to the hotel.

Good value for money”

To me it was a good deal: reasonable and affordable price, good facilities, good location, supportive and friendly staff. Paying around 70SGD/night, I didn't expect much but I really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and it will be one of my 1st choices of accommodation in Singapore.

Good location - better than I had anticipated!”

Initially I had my concerns about the hotel being located in Geylang, known as the red light district in Singapore, but later I found that the hotel isnt located on the main road and was generally in a quiet area of Geylang. Bus stops are around 3-4 mins walk from the hotel and there are many eateries nearby the area. Room is reasonably clean and the only thing missing is a mini fridge! Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. In the end, we stayed here for five nights and it was better that I had thought. Thank you.

Outstanding Value for money”

Great rooms at a great price, you will be hard pushed to find a better value for money hotel in Singapore than this place. Geyleng isn't the most desirable of places in Singapore but this hotel has easy access to the Mrt (600 metres) therefore it makes an ideal choice if you are looking for easy access to the city centre. highly recommended.

convenient transit stay ”

This place is great. It feels like its brand new but may be a really good refurbish job. The room was good size for short stay, very clean, modern, quiet and beds were comfortable. The cleaner didn't speak English, was trying to get the tea bag as there was none, no issues though. Reception staff good English, friendly and will look after you if you ask for help. The building, front reception area was not obvious/obscure, very ordinary, you/taxi driver can't really tell where the front of the hotel is on the outside. There's several great eats around. The taxi driver was concerned that a woman and teen (17) daughter was staying "in this suburb" and alluded us to "working girls around, if you know what I mean" he says. Singapore is one of THE SAFEST country in the world (been there 12 + x), and I am half THAI, so street/working girls in Singapore is NOT an issue. We didn't see any and if one was around, NOT obvious, like in Thailand. I think Taxi driver had his own agenda.

Exceptional”

Our stay was great. Better than I expected. Also it’s located in a quiet area, near the residential apartments. It’s located in Geylang but I did not even notice that it’s in the “red district” so no need to worry about that (: the room looks like the one in the photos and the train station is maybe 5 minutes walk away but I don’t have problem with walking.

Clean and fresh room”

Their room is clean and fresh. Without asking, their housekeeping does the changing of linen and cleans the room promptly and professionally. The front desk staff is also nice and friendly. Very accessible and value for money. Highly recommendable budget hotel that you could get in Singapore. Thank again for the warm accomodation. More power!

Pretty good considering Singapore Prices”

Stayed here last August 2018. it was pretty good considering hotel prices in Singapore. I would consider this a steal. room has a TV, toiletries (Soap) and a mini refrigerator. No towels though. Despite being located in Geylang, we really didn't see anything sketchy or experience unwanted noise during our stay. the receptionist was pretty much nice and accomodating as well. We would definitely book here again.

Formerly Fragrance Hotel Crystal, location was near in the bus stop but slightly too far going to MRT (about 10-15mins). Overall it was a affordable hotel that you can consider when staying in singapore.

Im very satisfied with the service provide by the Fragrance Crystal Hotel since their staff is very polite and helpful. They do help me a lot when im staying at the hotel. Clean room, good facities, cheap price”

The price is not really cheap but it’s cheaper than other equivalent hotels in Singapore. The room is clean and has enough facilities. The staff is quite supportive. The location is near bus station but quite far from Mrt. There are some good restaurants around the hotel, open late for night meals.

Excellent Location”

As we know that Geylang is RED LIGHT District, this hotel is just away from main activity. This is corner property. Nearby you can find very good hotels if you are from INDIA. Very well located. You can roam around the city without hassle. just 2 SGD to VIVO CITY by bus. 10 SGD to Marina Bay.

Prices in Singapore are high for accomodation.. and you usually dont get good standard for reasonable prices. This place is foe the amount you pay a heaven ...clean...good bathroom...good bright rooms... perfect ... location is in red light district however it is safe and very easy to get anywhere...

Great hotel. I would recommended! ”

I'm really happy with the hotel, the room is great, clean, good size. The staff is helpful. Is a perfect hotel to stay at Singapore. The only negative part, is that it is not located in a good sector. Although the hotel is near to the metro station, you have to cross through somes ugly blocks. I would say that is not a problem that, because Singapore is a very safe country, the only thing is to be open mind to the area. Or, you can take uber to go to the hotel. Is very cheap, around 15 Aud from sentosa or Marina bay.

Clean & Nice”

This is a clean and nice hotel situated at Geylang. Hotel has parking so if you are travelling in a private car, you can save some $$ for parking overnight. Nice room and quiet environment. There is a mixture of families and couple travelers staying here.
