We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. It has a central location along the river in a quiet area, which made for some pleasant walks for sundowners along Robertson or Clark Quay; and just a 20 minute walk from Clark Quay MRT. For the times we didn't feel like walking to Clark Quay, it was simple enough to take a bus. The concierge and door attendants were remarkably helpful and even made our restaurant reservations. Our package included free breakfast which was a plentiful spread of fresh and delicious food (only drawback was it was too tempting and thus we never had an appetite for lunch!) The purpose of the visit was to celebrate a milestone birthday, and upon coming back to my room in the afternoon I was surprised with a beautiful birthday cake. It was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel at a very convenient location”
we had a very relaxing stay at the grand copthorne waterfront hotel. rooms were very nice although not overly large. the staff was top notch and very efficient. the breakfast on the club level was relatively small compared to other 5 star hotels i have stayed at, but was of high quality and has something for everyone. the happy hour in the afternoon was also very nice. short walk of 15 minutes or so to clark quay for dinner and nightlife. there is also a water taxi pickup point just behind the hotel if you don't feel like walking and want to see a bit of the river. most things in singapore are quite expensive compared to other asian countries, but this hotel provided a good value for the money.

My experience at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel was very positive. I got a great promotion deal at Agoda.com for a weekend. Thanks a lot! The room was better than what I expected with high ceiling and nice view to the river. Though I wish they didn`t keep the room so cold, I was freezing every time I had to go back to the room. Didn`t have any complimently water to drink at 11PM arrival. Think housekeeping forgot about it. But it happens everywhere.... Had to ask for late check out three times before the manager said ok...Other than these minor, the location of the hotel is good. It`s not the prime location but since taxis are easy to catch at the entrance and short ride to Orchard road, I had no compliants. And a big shopping mall is only 5 min walking distance so I had plenty things to do before the meetings....I have already recommended the hotel to a friend going to Singapore next week and I would definitely go back to the Grand Copthorne Waterfront on my next visit.

disappointed at the start but had a good stay”
I was disappointed at first, I arrived on a very early morning flight in Singapore, and had let the hotel know well in advance when I booked that I would be arriving early so would wish to check in early. I had previously visited a few places in Australia prior to my stay and none of these hotels had a problem letting me check in early. I arrived at the Grand Copthorne around 6am, greeted by a very rude and unfriendly receptionist, only to be told if I wished to check in early I would have to pay an extra $150. I declined early check in, but was offered no advice at what I could do at 6am in Singapore or asked if I would like to rest or freshen up. I wasn't very impressed that I had to ask if I was able to freshen up somewhere. I was taken up to an area where I was able to get a shower and sit down, which was very nice but I also wanted somewhere properly to rest like a couch or a sleep pod. While I was waiting in this area I spoke to some other guests and was disappointed to find out they were being allowed to check in at 11am instead of 2pm like me, they had not paid $150 or had one of the very expensive rooms yet they were being offered an early check in. I was pleased with the service offered by the bellboys they were very helpful, the hotel was also served well by taxis, the longest I ever had to wait for a taxi was about 15minutes. I had to get taxis everywhere as the metro was just too far away. The hotel advertises that it is in Clarke Quay but it is at least a 20-25minute walk from Clarke Quay. When I was finally able to check into my room I was very impressed, it was a beautiful big room, very clean, and had fantastic views of Marina Bay. I thought the minibar items were very over priced so didn't use the minibar but enjoyed the complimentary water bottles offered - great idea! Memorable stay!”
I booked this staycation as a short getaway over the weekends. As I attempted to book only few days before the stay, I was surprised that Agoda offered a package with bay view at a very good rate. I did not hesitate further because a couple of my friends have stayed in Grand Copthorne and were pleased with the experience. Although the location is not near to the MRT station, there are a few bus stops that are conveniently located just minutes walk away from the hotel. The buses will go to popular places like Town or Clarke quay areas so need not make all the way to the nearest MRT station. Alternatively, a slow walk towards Clarke Quay is also as good as it can be. The view is perfect! Although the level of my room is at 10th level which isn't very high, the river view is still awesome. The night view is even prettier. I would really recommend to go for those rooms with bay view. Breakfast variety is wide for selection. It's considered an International buffet and the food quality is really good. Overall, I would definitely come back to Grand Copthorne again and I high recommend this awesome hotel!

Weekend visitors”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. We had an Executive Club room on the 29th floor with great views along Robertson and Clarke Quays. The room was great, very spacious and we had a huge comfortable bed. We couldn't have asked for more. The evening cocktails in the Club Lounge were superb and for hors d'oeuvres, which were delicious, we had a different menu each night. The staff were very polite and pleasant. Copthorne Waterfront Singapore”
After a 7 hour flight from Australia to Singapore, it was great to finally arrive at the Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. First impressions of the hotel were great, check in was swift and courteous, the reception staff being expert at their job. We were shown to our room by an attentive porter who was anxious to please. Our room was quite comfortable with a king size bed, although slightly short for my 6ft length, it's width certainly made up the shortfall. Everything in the room was as expected of the hotel, from the decore and furnishings to the excellent soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a wide choice of eats on offer. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money, although a little far from the main shopping areas of Orchard Road, the hotel offers an excellent free shuttle bus service to this area. Taxis are readily available for a nominal fee to other areas of Singapore.

A delightful and friendly hotel”
we enjoyed a 3 night wonderful stay at the grand copthorne waterfront hotel and received a warm welcome from the door person ( a charming lady) the reception staff members were friendly and efficient and the porters polite and speedy. our room was clean, well appointed and quiet. the linen, towels and toiletries were of top quality. the view from the room was lovely, particularly at night when singapore "lit up". we wish that we had time to avail of the pool,spa, gym and tennis courts and the outdoor areas. a tempting array of food was always available at the restaurant. the free shuttle bus was appreciated and helped us familiarise with downtown.

Good location”
We have stayed at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront several times and it is always a pleasure. We traveled with 2 young children and found it an easy location. The river front has great paths to run and ride on and it is easy to walk to Clarke Quay for the MRT. There are great restaurants across the river at Robertson Quay, less than 5 minutes away. The breakfast at the hotel is good and covers all dietary needs.

It was an amazing stay at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. Totally customized, and the hotel actually did take note of every single little detail i requested for, as it was for a birthday celebration. Not only that, they assisted me in my early check-in as early as they are able to. The rooms are slightly larger than compared to the usual hotel rooms, and it gives you a warmth feeling too. On top of that, they sent us a complimentary chocolate cake which was very delicious (Would like to know what cake it is, so I am able to taste more of it in the future). The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, it was really one of the best stays we had, and we would definitely come back again. Probably we will become regular guests here because it is worth it. :D

We did a staycation at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore for my wife's birthday and we enjoyed the experience a lot. During check-in Diana, asked for my wife's birthday. When she noticed that it was her special day she told me discretely that she was going to send a surprise to the room which she did. Other than the excellent service we also liked the breakfast which you can take overlooking the Singapore river. We also like the pillows that were in the room.

Great place for tourist who enjoys night life”
my second stay in grand copthorne waterfront. this hotel never disappoint their guest. rooms are clean and in room services are up to standard. although staffs picking up reservation phone call was rather disappointing and that even though i made an email feedback, there wasn't any replies from the hotel side. not even an acknowledgement. however putting aside those unpleasant encounters during reservation, everything else was quite a satisfaction to me. i will definitely be back for future stays in grand copthorne waterfront.

Great hotel in Singapore”
The Grand Copthorne although not in the "action" part of Singapore is well presented. It took only 10-15 minutes to walk to Clarke Quay area and in any case a bus to the hub is virtually outside the hotel and taxi's are cheap. We stayed in the Club section - well worth the extra cost as it includes free internet (expensive if had to pay separately), hot or cold breakfast, free drinks between 6 and 8 pm in the Club Lounge and free soft drinks from the fridge in the room. We really appreciated the gesture that allowed us to freshen up (shower etc)6 hours after we had booked out (we were not leaving Singapore until after midnight the next day) and after spending most of the day walking in Singapore where it is humid, the gesture was certainly appreciated. The Club room was clean and spacious and the bed devine. Drinks in bar can be expensive.

Pleasant Times At the Waterfront”
The Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel provided my colleagues and I a very pleasant stay, and proved to be one of the good points on our visit to Singapore. We managed to have great fun on our visit to Singapore, and a lot of it was because The Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is accomodating, friendly, and generally a nice place to stay. I'd recommend it for any business travelers due to its classier appearances, upper-end amenities, and ready access to a convention center and a good bunch of restaurants. This hotel met my expectations of any hotel quite solidly, and I can only voice minor complaints about the pool in all reality. I believe this place deserves about four out of five stars in my personal rating system... definitely a good spot to be at in Singapore.

I have stayed several times in Singapore and I must commit that the Copthorne Waterfront offers excellent value for money. Actually, the best I have experienced so far in that City. The location at the Singapore River is lovely and in walking distance to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. It's now my most favorite hotel in Singapore.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel - everything you want to do is so well provided for - it's location means getting a taxi for shopping etc. but that isn't a problem because the rates are so reasonable. Really lovely being situated alongside the river and water taxis are available. The dining area (which is huge) looks out to the river or you can sit beside for lunch etc. Very relaxing and quiet in a fairly busy city. No problem having flights confirmed and e-tickets arranged by the concierge desk staff. Worthwhile including the breakfast buffet in with the room booking as it's very extensive and reasonable.

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel for the following reasons: (1) Clean Room/Facilities; (2) Great Food; (3) Hotel Staff at Reception and Housekeeping are Cordial and Accommodating. I just wished that I had spent more time at the hotel to enjoy the other facilities; however, being that this is a business trip, I had very limited time for such. When in Singapore, I enjoy taking the MRT as it is very efficient and travel time is predictable. The location of the hotel is not very accessible to/from the nearest MRT station; this is the only not-so-positive comment I have about the hotel.

Romantic staycation”
The deluxe room we got under promo was nice, very spacious & comfortable. The bathroom had both a shower & a bathtub! I told the staff that my partner & I were celebrating our anniversary, but I didn't think they'd remember or even do anything about it. To my pleasant surprise, a member of the staff delivered a large slice of a yummy chocolate cake to our room shortly after checking in. I also had to charge my iPhone, but I had forgotten to bring my charger. Thankfully, the reception staff readily agreed to help me charge it behind the counter. There were many other encounters with the staff that always left me feeling well-attended to & thoroughly satisfied with their service. The breakfast buffet had a pretty large spread, much to my partner's pleasure, but as with every hotel buffet, there were some hits & misses. But, all-in-all, we had a really great time at The Grand Copthorne Waterfront & would love to come back for our next staycation!

Wonderful place to stay”
we really had no idea where to choose a hotel in singapore. we finally decided that we did not want to be a part of the hustle of orchard road as shopping was not really our major interest. we certainly made a good choice with the grand copthorne waterfront. we had a room overlooking the river. we were within walking distance of hundreds of restaurants, the dock for the boat tours, and the stop for the hop on hop off bus. everyone at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. the pool was lovely and the buffet breakfast was very good.
