As expected, because it was located in the city center, the lobby of the hotel seemed smaller than Bangkok King Power, but there were many more rooms. The lobby was bustling with people resting and those checking out and preparing to leave. There were definitely more Koreans than the previous hotel. The check-in staff spoke English well, but their pronunciation was a bit difficult for us to understand. We had to ask a few times with their short, choppy pronunciation, and although the staff were friendly, we didn't feel as welcomed as we did in the previous hotel. Perhaps it was because they were busy... However, this slight disadvantage is offset by the hotel's location. Ha ha. The biggest advantage of Grand Central Point Terminal 21 is that it is located at Asok Station, where both the BTS and MRT pass through, and the BTS line is directly connected to the hotel, making its geographical location very convenient. Especially in hot Bangkok weather, being able to enter the hotel without walking outside is a huge advantage. This advantage shines when returning from shopping (e.g. Chatuchak Market tour). Another advantage is that it is directly connected to Terminal 21 shopping mall. Terminal 21 is not a large luxury department store like Siam Paragon or Icon Siam, but it is more like a young feeling shopping mall with various brands on each floor, such as Guess, Lacoste, and other themed brands. It is not small in size and has a different viewing experience than other shopping malls. Especially, there are brands that match each theme such as London, Istanbul, and San Francisco on each floor. Also, the famous spa brand Let's Spa, which is well-known among Koreans in Bangkok, has its busiest branch at Terminal 21. The spa is directly connected to the hotel on the 6th floor, so we used it very comfortably. Highly recommended.

The location is really amazing. It is connected to Terminal 21 shopping mall through the side door on the first floor, and if you take the escalator to the second floor, you can directly access BTS Asok Station, making it convenient to move around without getting wet in the rain. You don't have to go anywhere else to eat because you can have your meals at Terminal 21's underground or on the 4th floor at individual restaurants or on the 5th floor at Pier 21. When going on a sightseeing tour, you can gather at Robinson's right next door, so you don't have to use transportation to get to the meeting place, and it is easy to walk there. The staff are all friendly, and the room condition and cleanliness are good. There is a microwave and sink in the room, so it is also good to buy food from outside and eat it in the room!

The room is spacious and clean; the location is next to the BTS and MRT stations, and there is a direct passage to Terminal 21 shopping mall, which is very convenient. The staff are polite, not only helping us with our luggage when we arrived and left, but also offering to send out a postcard for me when they saw me holding one. I must give special thanks to the staff at the concierge desk. On the day we left Thailand, they knew we were in a hurry to catch our flight, so they proactively made two phone calls to urge the taxi driver to hurry, allowing us to arrive at the airport on time. It was truly a wonderful stay experience!

My staying experience from a wheelchair person's perspective”
As a wheelchair person's experience, I was satisfied with my experience staying in Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21(GCP). Right from the start, my partner and I were greeted very warmly by the lobby staff, from the Bellhops, Lobby Floor staff to the Check-In staff. I figured I also got extra care and attention due to me being in my electric wheelchair. We had initially booked a Deluxe Premium Room. The Check-In staff considerately asked if we would like to consider the disability accessible (DA) room, which was similar in size but had an open concept bathroom which was slightly larger in size than the normal bathrooms. We, then, had the pleasure of being brought to view the two rooms before making our decision on which room we would like to check in. After viewing the room, we decided to take on the DA room. Plus points first. The bedroom was a very generous in size and extremely comfortable. I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows with electric blinds. The sofa with small dining table was a nice space to dine and do some laptop work. We also appreciated that the hotel turned the two single beds into a king size bed for us in the room. The room and beds were made up with pristine condition. Bedsheets were changed every day which I appreciate as I am very picky with cleanliness. The fresh sheets made my staying experience much more comfortable. Housekeeping staff are very helpful and willing to please for any requests such as more towels or bottles of water. A++ for quick and prompt services. Next, I really enjoyed the ‘john’ aka the throne in the bathroom. Fully-equipped with wash/dry functions and not to mention, the heated seat. Personally, I feel all hotels should be equipped with this ‘throne’. This would be one of the selling points of getting a room at GCP. However, for me, the positives for the bathroom ends there. I must say improvements need to be made in order for the disabled bathroom to help disabled persons. Putting in two assisting bars next to the toilet seat and having an open concept does not constitute it to be a good disabled bathroom. Not to mention, the left assisting bar seemed to have mysteriously electrocuted me at times when I was using the loo. Management may like to look into that. For a semi-disabled person (able to walk and stand for short distances and time due to extremely weak legs), the shower usability is a definite fail for me. With an open shower concept like most disabled bathrooms, the floors for this bathroom are too slippery especially when wet. The amount of strength to manage from trying to shower and trying not to fall at the same time became rather exhausting after 3 nights in this room. With no boundaries, the entire marbled floors were too wet and slippery to maneuver after a shower. My partner had to lay multiple bathroom towels on the floor after any shower in order to use the bathroom and try not to fall while using it. My suggestion to the management, would be to change the tiles at the shower area to a rougher surfaced tile. Slips are bound to happen in this shower if things don't change. Slips can be prevented. The shower area should also have its water flow slightly on an angle in order for shower water to drain properly and not sit flatly as it currently does on the slippery marble tiles. Management may also consider building a seat stomp against one of the walls in the shower. It may prove to be helpful for people with disabilities. Another plus point of the hotel would be accessibility and size of the lifts in the hotel. I was able to get in and out of the lift comfortably. And at times when I had the lift to myself, was able to do a 180° turn to face the lift door to get out of the lift. The building is very wheelchair friendly. Every door was big enough to allow me to go in and out comfortably with the wheelchair. The Bellhop staff were very quick and alert as my partner was able to receive assistance on lifting my wheelch

Hotel with a great location”
We travel to Bangkok for work a couple of times a year and we’ve booked this place twice. The location is excellent for us and has a dedicated access directly on to the Asoke BTS and a few steps from the MTR. The rooms are a decent size but no carpets, the bed is comfy too. The kitchenette is good as we like the fridge freezer which makes ice cubes and offers lots of space for drinks bought locally on top of the complimentary soft drinks and snacks that are replenished every day! We make use of the washer/drier and go home with all of our clothes clean. English/US television is truly dreadful and it could do with one or two decent channels but that said the guests are probably 80-90 from Asian countries. It didn’t bother us as we’re not here to watch TV but catching up with the news would be nice. Late checkout is limited to 13:00 but they do give you access their pool and shower facilities, in todays case it’s until 9pm as we have a midnight flight. Staff are all friendly and polite and the buffet breakfast is good with lots of dishes from around the globe. Overall we like it and it’s connected well through the transport system. There’s a connecting door into Terminal 21 which has a “Gourmet” supermarket in the basement along with dozens or eateries of all styles. Overall a good place to stay.
