Location wise- ok along the ring road. It has the basic necessities of a guesthouse. That being said, that’s it. We arrived around 6-7 pm, honestly, pretty early. Upon arrival, there was no one although it claimed to have 24/7 hour reception. The reception call box simply does not work/no one answers and no workers on premises. Just lock boxes which would be fine if we knew about the lockbox check in. We found out from other guests that we were supposed to receive an email about the codes and check in…no email was sent. Contacted Agoda, nothing. Another guest had the same problem. So we begin to look for an email or phone number we could email or reach. The contact within the guest house book/google/booking website were disconnected, email does not exist. Found out that the correct number was on their actual website. That being said, had to use international roaming/call that charged per minute to contact the owner. To which he simply said, sorry. We weren’t able to check in til 8:30-9:00 pm. I have soloed traveled quite a bit and have gone to Iceland twice thus far and am not one to write a bad review since my expectations for guesthouses are nonexistent however the situation itself definitely put a kink in my trip.
I had a very terrible experience in this guesthouse. I arrived at 6pm and found no one in there. I saw some key boxes outside and recognized that I should get a key from one of them. But I have not received any information even I arrived there. The reception button was not working and no one responsed. It was raining outside and it was really cold. I tried to check the contact from agoda and Google map. Both numbers are different and one of them has WhatsApp account but still, no one answered. Finally I got the other number from the official website and reached someone by WhatsApp. I was given a password of the key box finally. And No apology at all !!!! Then, I found that the wifi was not working and the tv as well. If u don't want to risk yourself sleeping on the street. Don't book this !!!

I booked a room through Agoda, but the host didn’t send me any information about how to check in and the phone number was turned off! I tried called them many times, but can’t reach them! In the end I have go book another accommodation! It’s is terrible service when you are hosting rooms, the phone doesn’t turn on! And didn’t send me any check in information!
