Exceptional”

I have stayed at Holiday Garden Hotel many times now and the staff is always exceptionally helpful. This time I bought some furniture while in Chiang Mai and the staff went out of their way to help me wrap it up and secure it for my drive home. The location is good and it's very quiet.

Nice place to stay at Holiday Garden , Chiang Mai”

Holiday Garden Chiang Mai is a good place to stay. It is very convenient place and close to Kard Suan Kaew Department store, Chiang Mai University and the transportation is quite convenient to get to. There are many facilities, e.g. Spa , Thai Massage, swimming pool. The counter service is also very good and very helpful. There are also some maps of Chaing Mai provided.

Hotel Services Beyond Expectation”

First time to Chiang Mai and pleased to stay in this hotel with services quality and nice landscape. The room is comfortable and chambermaids cleaned the room daily with smiles. The location is good with "The Harbour" next to it for food and beer. There is a mall within walking distance and must visit the 5th floor "The Camp" where students can study and working adults / tourist can have access to wifi. Perhaps the hotel can improve by having different breakfast menu for everyday as I ate same breakfast for 3 days of my staff. The hotel taxi service to Airport is good and charged reasonably. I noticed the room service for meals is good although I did not try.

Overall - a very nice place!”

Holiday Garden Hotel is a very nice place, with very very helpful staff. I was there with my family and 1 year old son, the staff took very good care of us. They helped arrange taxis and vans to take us to many of the sites! The breakfast available in the hotel dinning area was very delicious and a wide variety. One note - the rooms were a little small, but not too small. Overall - a very very nice place!!

nice ambience, but small room and rundown”

the hotel is located on Huay Kaew road and just behind the Harbour community mall so it's quite convenient. the room is okay but there is no balcony and the condition of the room is quite rundown though it looks nice with thai style touch and decoration. need improvement on the maintenance of the room. one of the ceiling tile was hanging and almost fell off when we stayed there. we didn't have the breakfast there so i couldn't provide review on the food. overall, it's worth the money but there are a lot of options in chiang mai so unless you need to stay in this location, you'd better look for better one with cheaper price.

Lovely, restful hotel with thoughtful staff”

I really liked this hotel and its location near the university. First, I like how accommodating and helpful each staff person was. Next, I found the room to be very attractive though a bit small. The breakfast buffet offered a large selection though, especially of Thai breakfast food. The lunch was equally abundant. The food was not gourmet, but it was tasty. I think Holiday Garden is an exceptional value for the budget traveler.

convenience, clean and cosy ”

the hotel is situated at the most convenient location, where it takes aprroximately 5 mins from the city center. There, you can find both leisure and culture without having to bore yourself out. Hotel's staffs are extremely polite with their own Chiang Mai flare and their hospitality service. Breakfast and restaurant outlets are acceptable, moreover the rooms are clean and capacity is fair enough.

Fine hotel with good service”

stayed at the tower wing section of the hotel, which offers a formidable view of the chiang mai skyline. the hotel offers neat and comfortable rooms, and the room service is just tip-top. the breakfast, part of the package, is excellent and with great versimilitude. internet, unfortunately, is not for free, but for a small fee you will get fast and reliable wi-fi. the staff is very helpful, and we had good help when it came to tours in and outside chiang mai. all in all, the hotel is excellent at its price, and i will certainly recommend it and do plan to come back on my next trip to cm.

Reasonable Price with Clean Accommodation”

Although the access to this hotel was not so easy compared to other hotels in Chiang mai, the room itself, the staffs, and breakfast buffet were really awesome. We liked the extremely large bed and clean bathroom very much. It's worth choosing this hotel.

Value for money in general”

The garden and pool area is very beautiful, as well as the lobby area and they have a nice spacious parking area also. Generally it's a nice hotel with good prices I think. What I didn't like is that supposed "garden view" rooms don't really look at the garden. Their door does but their window doesn't and I don't think there is anyone who keeps their door open while in the room, so there is no actual view. Also, I would recommend that the staff is less noisy during morning hours, as they tend to speak through walkie talkies outside of the guests rooms and these things are noisy. I think they should reduce the sound or stop using them.

Small jewel in the crown. ”

Perfect! Having being to Chiang Mai before we knew we wanted something close to Nimmanhaemin, this is off the main Nimmanhaemin Road but is maybe 5-7 minute walk at most, so the location is ideal. Hotel was clean, tidy and nicely presented. There was a lovely, quiet, pool area ideal for a couple of hours relaxing. Buffett breakfast was included. There was plenty of hot water and air conditioning in the rooms. Perfect for those who want somewhere as a base to explore the beautiful Chiang Mai without breaking the bank.

Holiday Garden Chiang Mai”

Holiday Garden Chiang Mai Hotel is a fine place to spend a few days. The room is decent enough for travelers, though it isn't as luxury as other hotels. The view is very nice around the public area, and the staff are very friendly. The only weak point of this hotel is its food. Breakfast isn't that great.

The problem are always other customers snd staff that cleans the room in the morning ... They make noise. I was only in chiang mai vecause a stupid taxidriver wich I had to explain the way from bus terminal 2 to the animal quarantain station the way and was do not in the back of that red open taxis. She broke the door. I was in that hotel because in that area it happend. The staff from the reception in the night was looking doen on me vecause not dressed in suite ... I was dressed for searching in not clean areas. Tge security vhef was nice ... They put a family eith a instant shouting kud veside me. I was injured vy the foot and need a rest ... They asked me to move in a other room.

Good value for price”

I stayed in this hotel twice, in December 2008 and also 1 year ago, so I have tried both tower rooms and the garden wing. Garden wing rooms are probably more tidy and spacious, but tower ones have a nice view on the Doi Suthep mountain. Rooms are tidy, a bit aged, but well-maintained. Food for breakfast is a bit repetitive over days, and could be better, but all in all is quite good (8 out of 10). There is no free internet, wifi cards to be purchased at reception, and are quite pricey. The hotel is off the main road, so it is very quiet, plenty of safe parking, a nice garden and the swimming pool is quite big. There is a Seven-Eleven across the road (ca 10 mins walk), a good foot massage is about 3 mins walk. As the hotel is in the end of a lane, it's not always easy to catch a cab / tuk-tuk, especially in early morning hours. A big shopping center (Central Center) is about 30 mins walk to the city. Probably not the best choice to stay if you want to be close to the night bazaar, it's not a walking distance away. But it's quite close to the Zoo and Doi Suthep starting point, also not too far from the airport. If you want a nice, quiet, and relatively cheap place to stay, this hotel is highly recommended.

Good Service Hotel”

The hotel is situated within the vicinity of night markets. I had no trouble finding my way inside Chiang Mai coming from this hotel as my starting point. The staffs are very accomodating and the hotel is quite relaxing. Food is also great. I will definitely endorse this hotel to someone who would like to stay in Chiang Mai for a short adventure and travelling.

I', back at this Nice Place several times. (15-20 times)It's a must for me when I visit Chiang mai!!! Very recommended Place if you prefer the easy way of life!! The door personal and room workers are very Nice and smile all the time!!

A comfortable hotel with a fabulous view”

Hotel has a good location, with easy access to many of Chiang Mai's tourist attractions. The fact that you can order cabs and tours to many of the tourist attractions within and outside CM makes the whole stay in the city so much more enjoyable. Internet is, sadly, not included in the price, but for a small extra fee it is provided, and then it is fast and stable (not a given in the Land of Smiles, I am sad to say...) The staff are always helpful and gave us good advice on trips and the best routes to places we needed to go. Make use of the Tower Wing for a great view of the CM city skyline at night. All in all, this is a hotel that is a great choice if you value a budget hotel, but still with great service and features. Next time we are in CM, this will definitely be the hotel of choice again.

Great location and near Changmai Zoo”

Good value. nice room. Very friendly staff”

Being here a couple of times now. And it is getting better every time. Best room is on the second floor, out to parking lot, which I will ask for next time I stay in Chiang Mai. Recommended.

Overall it's value for money”

It is a nice place in general, with a beautiful garden with swimming pool, beautiful lobby and parking area also. I didn't like the fact that most rooms have no view, because what really looks at the garden-pool is their door and not their windows. And I don't know anyone who keeps their room door open all day to look outside :P Also, I would recommend that the housekeeping is more quiet while they are on the corridors of the hotel in the morning. They all carry walkie talkies to communicate and these are very noisy. Please reduce the volume :)
