My 6th stay in Holiday Inn (Silom), so needless to say, I am a happy customer. If this is your first time staying in Holiday Inn in Bangkok, you MUST tell the cabby this is HOLIDAY INN (SILOM). I emphasise in big caps, because I have seen countless tourist ended up at the wrong hotel, as there are 6 (six!) Holiday Inns in Bangkok alone. If in doubt, print the Agoda hotel receipt and show the cabby. This Silom branch is the most established Holiday Inn in Bangkok and almost every cabby knows its location.

Pleasant Stay, Value for Money”
Despite being a rather old hotel, the facilities are still well maintained and the staff are extremely polite, as is the case for most Thai service staff. The breakfast had a good selection. But what stood out was almost every taxi driver seem to know this hotel landmark without much prompting, unlike other obscure hotels or international chains with names that Thai drivers have difficulty understanding, which can be quite frustrating if you trying to be understood standing by a busy road - most drivers will just outright refuse to send you to your destination, or may quote a fixed rate instead of going by metered fare. Which brings us to this point - always ask for metered fare. Even with the announced increase in metered fare in late-2014, the rate is still incredibly affordable and dare I say - dirt cheap. Drivers may quote you a fixed rate if they anticipate traffic jam but do not accept anything more than THB200 rate. Don't worry, the next taxi is always less than 2 mins away in Bangkok. Back to Holiday Inn (Silom) - I will still be staying with them the next time I visit Bangkok again. Incredibly value for money.

A little far from the main city”
we usually pick 3-4 stars when we travel, but holiday inn silom was on a great deal at agoda so we couldn't resist and dont repent it a single minute the hotel is huge with nice bog rooms and clean toilets. the breakfast was nice and it had options for the vegetarians too the only issue was the 30 minute travel to any nightsopt or shopping place. silom is central if you have to travel to prathunam and sukumvit, but otherwise it gets a little far off if you intend to shop till you drop, then prathunam is the area, but if its a holiday and you dont mind taking those cabs once in a way then holiday inn is a good choice

We had 6 Night stay at Holiday Inn Silom, we were more than happy with 100 bart access by taxi to all the major Shopping Malls. We looked forward to Breakfast each morning so much to choose from fabulous. Our rooms were very comfortable, very clean and roomy with large windows and view. We used the coffee lounge for our evening meal each night and found it to have a great choice for light meals. The staff and Porters were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely choose Holiday Inn Silom for our next stay in Bangkok.

Sensational hotel in the heart of Silom Bangkok”
I moved from another hotel which I was unhappy with, Upon my arrival the staff at Holiday Inn were very friendly, professional and quick to check me in. It was a great experience!! The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean and well insulated so quiet. Buffet breakfast was superb, fresh, plentiful and always being replenished. I made an international phone call to Australia for just under 15 minutes and was charged an insane amount of money 2300 BHT!! I am yet to discuss this with the hotel directly as I feel it is an outrageous amount. I'm not making a negative statement, just want other traveller's to be aware. I visit Bangkok 2-3 times per year and often use the hotel I am staying ins landline, and have never had this higher charge. Every staff member that I encountered was wonderful, all were happy, courteous and polite. I really look forward to making holiday Inn my number one choice of hotel in Bangkok.

This is probably the best hotel that my family and I have stayed in whilst coming to Bangkok. Having come to Bangkok multiple times, we opt for different hotels but I think Holiday Inn establishales itself as a front runner in Bangkok. From very friendly and efficient staff to ths e aesthetics of the very comfortable and welcoming rooms, this hotel optimized our experienced in Bangkok. Check in and check out were quick and hassle free but at the same time, we felt welcomed as though we were setting foot into our second home. I really don't have much else to add, besides the fact that it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend it to our family and friends. It's also conveniently located near several restaurants and shops, so you basically have the City of Life right in front of your lobby.

Holiday inn Bangkok Silom is a great choice to stay in Bangkok! Great location near saladang/silom skytrain( 15 minutes walk). There is also a lot of night market nearby for shopping! The staff is also very helpfull. The rooms were big and new and clean. This hotel make us really enjoy our Thailand trip. Great hotel with great room.

Convenient Hotel For Late Nite Flights”
The Holiday Inn Silom is a comfortable place to stay, especially if you have a late night flight out of Bangkok. I was able to get late checkout un til 2:00PM. My long overseas travel back to the US required that I go to the airport about 9:00PM. The bell staff kept my luggage and I was able to use the comfortable fitness center locker room to shower and start the long trip home fresh. The charges for Internet are exorbitant at this and other similar western chain hotels. Many cheaper boutique style hotels now provide free wireless and complimentary in lobby desktop computers for their guests. The Holiday Inns, Marriotts, and other similar brand hotels need to catch up and provide this feature.

New tower block very impressive”
I had done my booking and i was allotted room in old tower block which I was not made aware of at the time of booking , the room was very poorly decorated and was smelling very bad. When I complained and requested the duty manager to shift me to New Tower block , the staff and the duty manger were very polite and moved me to new tower Block I must say I was very impressed with the large room size and the room was very tastefully furnished, the hotel is very well located and my stay was a great experience and very comfortable . Yes I will surely staying again in holiday inn hotel, Silom.

The Holiday Inn on Silom Road is well located to visit the river, for cooling and cheap trip on the river taxi. It is also well located to visit the River City shopping center, for antiques, and the Oriental Hotel, for afternoon tea, as well as for the good shopping at Central department store, near the park. I now make it my main venue when visiting Bangkok.

In the UK the Holiday Inn doesnt really stand for much, not like Hilton or Marriot - but the Holiday Inn in Bangkok is a different story. It's not just due to the great Thai hospitality (although that helps) but more as the hotel is very spacious, luxurious and clean. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival. It's only a 5 min walk to the skybar. Also, the chap in the bar who makes the cocktails made us the best Margarita's we have ever had - perfect! And he was a big fan of Newcastle United and Man Utd too. Would stay again.

We returned to the Silom Road Holiday Inn because it is well located with relatively easy access to all parts of sprawling Bangkok. The rooms are attractive and freshly appointed, the baths are quite posh, and the public areas are elegant and spacious. We had two excellent meals, and the staff was attentive and well trained.

This was my second visit to the Holiday Inn Silom and I loved it. Nothing was too much trouble and I always felt like a valued customer. The staff are efficient, helpful and always polite. The rooms are well maintained and the cleaning staff were lovely. Fresh flowers, an impressive lobby/meeting area are great and it always seemed really quiet, no matter how busy it was there. The lady on the travel desk also helped with some English/Thai translation which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely stay there again, finances and time permitting!

I treated myself to a club level two night stopover at the Holiday Inn Silom. I have stayed there before and the location is pretty good. It's near the bottom end of Silom Road, so those in search of the real action will have a 20 minute walk to the top end. However, there are plenty of restaurants and food stalls near the HIS and the area has its own buzz. The nearest BTS station is about a 10-minute walk away. Check-in was performed at club level. It was swift and courteous, although I was surprised not to be offered a 'welcome' drink. This is so standard for all guests at many hotels and I would have particularly appreciated it, arriving as I did in the evening after a 16 hour journey (after the club lounge drinks hour had finished). The room was well-furnished and, I would say, of average standard for club level accommodation. It was a touch 'MFI' (for those that remember the company). Although I missed out on my welcome drink, I was certainly impressed with the range of free drinks and refreshments on offer during cocktail hour. These included red and white wines (two choices of each) and high quality spirits (Remy Martin/Chivas Regal/etc) along with a range of sweet and savoury nibbles that would almost constitute a meal in themselves. In all, my stay at the hotel was very comfortable. Excepting breakfast (a good standard) I didn't dine on the premises, although I used the gym - which is well-equipped - along with the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

High performance staff, great location.”
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Silom quite a few times. The staff are always pleasant, the rooms very clean and quiet, and the breakfast is outstanding. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, and if you are lucky you can sit by the window, and enjoy watching the hustle-bustle of Bangkok one floor below.

My 3rd stay in Holiday Inn (Silom). Predictably good service and good buffet breakfast. The location is actually quite bad and the nearest BTR (Surasak Station) is actually 10-15 mins walk away- not a good thing if you have elderly or people with special needs travelling with you. However, what draws me to this hotel is the ease in communicating with the ubiquitous taxis of its location. Just tell the cabby "Holiday Inn Silom", and they'll know it instantly. No fuss, no annoying cabbies who missed a turn, leading you to nowhere. All in all, I will stay with them again. And note that there are other Holiday Inns in Bangkok, so be specific (Silom) when telling the cabbies. And do try Ban Chiang restaurant 10 mins walk away. Very obscure, but follow the signs and you'll be duly rewarded. By the way, Silom is pronounced as "Sea-Loam".
