simply the right choice to be based and explore chiang mai, or to relax at the gym and swimming pool / sun roof. wonderfully attentive staff. the concierge was so friendly and caring. he suggested what activities we could do and asked us what we preferred. when i told him that hiring a scooter would be our first choice he called the motor rent. within 15 minutes 3 scooters were delivered at the hotel for baht a day. far lower rates than elsewhere. yes, the hotel shows it age. during my first stay it was a westin, than sheraton and now holliday inn. i still remember when it was grand and one of the top places on the river bank on the out skirts of chiang mai. now it is a efficient place, great service and good vale for money. for 6 days we had 2 executive river view including a very good breakfast buffet, free wifi internet and 2 free laundry items a day. executive river view means spacious rooms with breathtaking views from the top floors. the best to explore and understand the lay out of the city and its surroundings. there is no best location in chiang mai. if located in the old city it is as for to the night market as from the holliday inn. staying in the night market area it is not so close to china town and its markets. doi suthep, ban tawai or sankamphaeng is out of the city any way and hiring scooters solves the hassle of finding tuk-tuks or taxis. despite of the free hotel shuttle to the night market. i will remember the holliday inn chiang mai as the right choice that contributed to a great stay in the north of thailand.

We have lived in Northern Thailand for over four years now and often travel to Chiang Mai for family vacations or long weekends. We have stayed in nice hotels and cheap guesthouses, historically preferring the Amari Rincome and the Baan Kaew guest house, depending on our needs each trip. However, after discovering the Holiday Inn, we have a new favorite upper-level stay. The breakfast buffet is the best in Chiang Mai, the staff are friendly and genuinely helpful, the rooms are beautiful - large and up-to-date. The only drawback might be the location if you do not know the city or do not have a vehicle. It is not far from the town center and offers shuttle service, but you cannot walk to and from the hotel to anywhere special. Finally, it is directly across the street from a hospital, which served us well as we had to make an emergency run one morning (part of the joys of parenthood). We highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly Staff.Was meet at the front of the Hotel by very friendly staff and from there on in it was exactly the same story.Quick check in no hassel, room was high standered, Clean comfortable,and great views.We arrived around 17:00 and were out and about shopping in the Night Bazzar by 18:00. Used the Hotel Limo service to go to Chiang Mai Zoo. Great service and cheap. Driver was very good pointing out placws of intrest on the way, and gave us some good tips and advice.Would recomend the Holiday Inn to anybody on a trip to Chiang Mai if they want a bit of Luxury for a low price. The Friendly staff Great Food and Location made this stay one of our best for us, And we will be going back.

My husband and I are traveling by car through Thailand. I read a lot of reviews about this hotel some were negative and a few positive. I only had positive experiences at this hotel. Yes it is an old hotel but 1 think I found was that ONLY old hotels have large rooms. A plus Also the staff were fantastic. Thank you very much 🙏🏼 A very clean hotel with clean bathrooms. We didn’t try the pool so cannot comment on that. The hotel had a complementary drop off for the night market and pick up as well. Around and outside the hotel there are kiosks for food which were very good. All in all a very good experience but saying that this has spoilt us for other hotels. Thank you holiday Inn for making Chiang Mai a wonderful place to visit. We will be back

The first ever time i stayed at the Holiday Inn in Chiang Mai i was very surprised at the efficiency and manor of the staff from the top managers to the cleaners. I found it a fantastic experience and now i have stayed there many times and each time i am very impressed with the whole package. Even the lady in the bar remembered what drink i had the last time i stayed there some months ago. It me feel special but it came out so naturally. Just a great hotel at a very good price and i wouldn'y stay anywhere else in Chiang Mai and i look forward to my next visit.

Excellent Stay”

I live in Chiang Mai but decided to stay at the Holiday Inn because I had a very early morning meeting in town the next day and didn't want a long commute at 5am. The friendly hostess escorted me to my room, showed me how the key and TV and lights worked, etc., then called my room a few minutes later to be sure everything was ok. I went out for dinner the night before (after a nap upon check-in) and was amazed to find that my room had been made up again in the short hour I was gone. Now that's service! The glass elevator ride to my 18th floor room was an experience in itself--the tallest in Chiang Mai. The rooms were clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, and I loved being able to stay so close to town without the noise. A+!

Holliday Inn hotel in Chiang Mai is nice place and nice scenery eventhough the location rather far from down-town. Light-lamp in the bridge of Chiang Mai river, more make a romantic view and feel in the Chiang Mai city. Location near by river, for dinner or break fast is very beatiful atmosphere. Services from hotel personal also very good with Thai hospitality,the room decoration and bath room decoration is also make the Holluiday Inn hotel more conform with my family need. Food/menu in restorant is delicious and may choice of menu ( Thai, Chinese and European food ) a avalilable with intenational taste.

we always enjoy our stay ast the holiday inn chiang mai. the stall is very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is good, breakfast being plentiful with everything you can wish for, the buffets are a bargain. on te negative side, some rooms can be noisy as the window and other parts are not fully soundproof. but overall the ratio quality of services to price is so favorable that this well managed hotel deserves a high mark.

Nice & Comfortable Hotel ”

I booked Hotel Inn via Agoda after I surved the information of hotels through internet. The reason I choose it since the room fee is pretty fair for a 3 stars hotel like Holiday inn Chiangmai there. After we checked in , I found that the room is big , comforable and clean. Room service is also quick and nice. The location of this hotel is very close to the air port. It is very convient to get the "taxi" there and go to downtown for food or shopping. The breakfast is delicious and rich. My families and I took a very nice vocation during our stay in Hotel inn for 4 nights. I recommend this hotel as your option when you go to Chingmai.

I would definitely recommend to my friend to stay at Holiday Inn Chiang Mai if they visit Chiang Mai. It is worth every cent that I paid for. The rooms are superb, clean and very cosy. Even on my first day I arrived in this hotel, I have decided that I would definitely come back to this particular hotel if I am ever to revisit Chiang Mai. It is my best stay in Thailand.

I enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn in Chiang Mai. It's a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. They upgraded me to a nicer room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The view of the river and the city was magnificent. The pool was nice but nothing special. Most food and services in the hotel were exorbitantly priced. For example, a massage in the hotel was 6.5 times more expensive than a comparable massage in a shop on the street. I was disappointed with how much traffic noise could still be heard even though I was on the top floor.

Overall, I would recommend anyone who wants a relaxing stay in Chiang Mai to put up at the Holiday Inn Hotel as it has this special aura to it that makes you feel at home. Another plus to this hotel is its' proximity to the Airport. It only took us 10 to 15 minutes to get to this hotel from the airport. What we really liked about this place was also its convenience to take tuk-tuks and taxis to the Night Bazaars and eateries. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to come back again if we had the chance in the future.

Luxury hotel with great ”

I must first give kudos to Stella Jacobs, the General Manager. She was able to resolve several issues that I had with ease. Her attention to my issues exceeded my expectations. Additionally, all staff were so friendly and well trained. The location is excellent just on the Ping River which separates it from the main part of Chiang Mai making it much quieter and with better air quality. I wouldn't consider any other hotel than the CM Holiday Inn for my next visit. 5 well deserved stars for this hotel.

My girlfriend and I love this Holiday Inn! We reserved a Superior Double room for 3 nights. Our room was spacious and comfy. Staff at concierge and reception were helpful in answering our questions, and also directing our tour guides to us when we were having breakfast in the restaurant or waiting in the lobby bar. Though the hotel isn't located in the city centre, it is easy and cheap to take "tuk tuk" to and from hotel. Night bazzar: THB60 & 7 minutes; Old town: THB80 & 15 minutes; Airport: THB150 & 20 minutes. In addition, we loved Chiang Mai! The cozy restaurants along Ping River were great for dinner with great ambiance. Numerous interesting tours were on offer too.

Exellent service and rooms were as discribed. The Holiday Inn Chiang Mai is on par to any of the big hotels in BKK but at half the price.Breakfast is well worth having in the package everything that you could want.Hotel had a very nice veranda to sit and enjoy breakfast with a view of the Ping River. Just outside of the city but not to far 80-100 baht taxi ride. Would recomend this hotel for comfort and hospitality. 5 star.

we really loved our stay in chiang mai at the holiday inn. everyone at the main desk was incredibly helpful. it was in a fairly quiet area of chiang mai and you had to take a taxi or tuk-tuk into to the main city if you wanted to do anything of interest. there is so much to do in this chiang mai and this hotel was great for seeing a lot of those attractions!

I have never stayed in a better Hotel, from the greeting at reception to my check out I had only one minor complaint. The meals were great, the staff professional and helpful, the facilites were so good great Pool and wow the excerise room had everything.When you go out of the Hotel they even open the door for you.I can strongly recomend this Hotel to anyone visiting Chiangmai. This is NOT anything like the poor Holiday Inns in America it really is a true 6 star Hotel
