A Gem in Clarke Quay”

This was my first stay at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay. I stayed for 3 nights. I found this to be such a wonderful place to stay. The staff members were all friendly, professional and kind. From the front desk, to the wait staff to the cleaning staff, everyone smiled. The location is great - just a short walk to the water, Chinatown and restaurants. The room was well designed with ironing board, free smartphone for use while in Singapore, desk, place for luggage and a nice closet with plenty of hangers. My two favorite parts of staying there were the nice coffee shop in the lobby and the morning breakfast buffet. The hotel has a great covered outdoor terrace where guests can choose to eat breakfast. It was so relaxing and enjoyable to sit outside and have a nice breakfast. Ceiling fans and open areas provide plenty of cross ventilation. I think the only downside to the hotel is that the bathroom is quite small. Thanks for a great stay!

Cosy Minimalistic Room, Quiet But Great Location”

i love almost everything about the hotel especially that it provides hosed bidet beside the toilet in the bathroom. the staff are very accommodating when i asked to check out late in the afternoon and for a price that was quite reasonable. the location was quiet but great as it is in the middle of singapore so it is not too far from orchard but close to geylang and marina bay area. one of the nice attractions near the hotel was the central perk cafe which was just opposite the hotel. the central mall nearby was pretty quiet and i didn't have the time to stop by. the facilities are very good such as the self-laundry which i was told had everything ready in it without having to go to the lobby to get the coins and detergent. this happened to me at holiday inn express jakarta wahid hasyim. anyway, i didn't get to enjoy the breakfast as i presumed it did not serve any halal food. that was the only downside i can comment on. thank you holiday inn express singapore clarke quay.

Great Place!”

What does a Holiday Inn Express sound like to you? Quick, easy, average, functional? Not this one. The building was great, the staff were very good, the room was very nice and a good bathroom too. Good TV, Wi-Fi, and the roof top pool was wonderful. (Did I mention the spa pool too?) There was also a roof-top gym with good facilities. The roof top gardens were attractice and the views of the city of Singapore were great. The location was good, just a short walk to Clark Quay and the river. Oh, and the downside? I can't think of one thing!

I enjoyed my 2 days accommodation at Holiday Inn Express Clark Quay. It's 8 mins walk to Clark Quay Metro. The room is small but clean and very comfortable. There is a mobile phone with data in the room that you can bring along when you go around Singapore. Breakfast is varied from Asian to Continental. Very tasty!

You know what you're going to get”

Holiday Inn Express is the safe, McDonald's choice among hotels. You know what you'll get - a comfortable level of facilities, service and cleanliness. That's what you get with this hotel too. Everything is good, nothing is terribly exciting. It's probably one of the cheaper hotels in this general location but it's slightly further away from the dining options and MRT at the Quay, Chinatown and the Fort. Not a big deal if you don't mind walking and have an extra 5 - 10 mins. For my personal travel I'd rather a quirky boutique in Little India at this price point, but for business it's pretty perfect.

From Australia and visiting for 3 nights after Bangkok holiday. About 5-8mins walk, with carry on luggage, from Clarke Quay train stop. Excellent modern decor, 3 friendly desk staff who answered helpfully re nearby restaurants, etc. Clean rooms and soft beds (not like Thailand) v soft pillows, rain shower in bathroom as well as normal shower, good TV, wifi v good. Although room is smaller than Australia it did not matter as had wardrobe hanging space, fridge etc. Great buffet breakfast choice included, from fruit dishes to western food and Asian. Taxi service to the door if desired but only 5 mins to waterside restaurants and same to Chinatown, where food is much more affordable and a busy street atmosphere. V relaxing, professional & v friendly staff who helped out with directions and shopping info. Sad I never made it to the roof top pool as I forgot...only released now with these other reviews!

Holiday Inn Express Clark Quay”

Very good hotel. New and modern design. Located in the central part of Singapore, 5 minutes walking to Riverfront and Clark Quay and from 5 to 10 minutes to Clark Quay or Chinatown MRT station, so location is great !!! Check point staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is also good, but we would like to add vegetables, such as: tomatoes, cucumbers, olives. Bakery products are delicious. Swimming pool and park on the roof are very nice, especially good after hole day tour in Singapore to jump in swimming pool. Very good hotel, just one thing: very noisy bathroom and toilet. So we will recommended this hotel to our friends with pleasure!!! Many thanks to hotel staff !!!

Meets just about anything you could ask for”

We were very pleased with our hotel experience. It has everything I was looking for. Not many hotels in Singapore offer breakfast, especially at the rates we got. They have a gym and 40m lap pool at the rooftop. You can also stay there in the sitting area and looks like they serve beer. Our room had a great view, facing the Marina Bay Sands. Rooms are very clean. Staff are excellent and well-trained, very friendly and hospitable. It is very close to the Riverside Point and the Clarke Quay bars. (5 minute walk). 10-minute walk to China Town where you can buy Singaporean souvenirs. 20-minute walk to Marina Bay via the river. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel. Nice location. Friendly, helpful staff. I am a Singapore tourist and staying at the Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay is one of the nicest parts of my vacation. I love the architecture, setting, and facilities. What is especially nice is the breakfast area.

great hotel at perfect location ”

Spend 2 night at this hotel and can fully recommend this one. New hotel and modern in all aspects. Staff were efficient and polite from booking to cleaners. Special mention to staff working at breakfast buffet. Always smiling and on hand to clean tables within seconds of leaving empty plates. The buffet was good and plentiful and suitable variety on offer. Small but okay gym located on top floor and next to very inviting pool The hotel location was a 5 min walk to Clark Quay and one of the best nightlife scenes in Singapore. MRT is very close and allows easy access to entire city. Highly recommended

Value for money”

This is my first time staying with Holiday Inn Express and I find it convenient and suitable hotel to stay. Location is excellent as it is situated in city area. Walking distance to Chinatown and Clark Quay. If you are hungry in the night, no worries a lot of eateries open till wee hours. The room is clean but too small in size.

Good choice. I like the outdoor breakfast area. The roof top swimming pool is fantastic. The room quality is superb. I don't need a big room and grand facilities for my hotel stay - Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay really provides just is needed and no more, but in good quality and reasonable price.

Best value for money in Singapore”

Incredible value for money. You can't beat this. I've stayed at the typical Chinese "dorms" at this price. Nowhere near the quality of Holiday Inn. All I need is a bed, wifi and clean towels....all checked. Don't expect much for 130+SG$ a night but this was beyond my expectations. Rooms are small but modern well designed. Sound isolated sonyou cant hear outside. Staff friendly. Even gave me late chackout till 2pm. Try that with 100$ dorms or at 5 star MBS, they'll laugh at you.

Nice room, location, and staff”

To begin with, price was a bit steep. Probably because it was New Year's time. Having said that, I would begin with the great staff that will welcome you upon your entry. They were very helpful in all my concerns. I got positive actions for all my demands. :) The room is very nice with a very modern vibe. Much better to stay on the 7th floor though if you want a Marina Bay view. Fast wi-fi connection in the common areas as well. The hotel is near Chinatown and Clark Quay stations. Breakfast was aplenty. No bacon or corned beef though. LOL Over-all stay was amazing anyway. Price is high though.

Holiday Inn Express is centrally located The staff truly cares to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is clean, modern and economic. Reasonably good breakfast with ample choices. Although, rooms could have used a little more square footage, the vast area behind lobby and on rooftop, to relax is wonderful!

Fantastic hotel”

Wow what a great hotel this is and the staff go out of their way to help you with anything you ask for. The rooftop garden and pool are amazing. It is a 10 min walk to at least 50 restaurants in the riverfront area of Clarke quay. It is about a 12-15 min walk to China town. Breakfast was very good with many choices and there is a coffee shop on the premise with a few bakery goods and drinks if you don't want to go outside for a snack. There are always taxis available or within a few minutes and there is a metro station about a 12 min walk from the hotel. The twin bedrooms on the top floor at the back are quiet and do not get direct sun in the afternoon so stay cool in the heat of the day. The beds are comfortable and the rooms modern. The only thing that I could fault is the standard rooms are a bit small compared to North American hotels but roomy when compared to European hotels in large cities.

Excellent Choice”

The rooms are not huge but very clean and everything we required. We didn't spend that much time in our room so that was fine.The best thing about this hotel was it was just a short stroll to Clark Quay which is one of our favorite places to eat at night and also very near to bus routes for sightseeing. Would definitely book again next time we visit and would recommend to others. Very reasonable price.

Good hotel and breakfast. Small but sufficient room. ”

The hotel is located in a very good place. Far from the noise but not too far to walk. Do take the breakfast option. Clarke quay is the better mrt to use compared to China town MRT. The rooms are small but you only need a nice and clean place to sleep. The pool is awesome and don't forget to take a photo there. It's worth it and I recommend this hotel.

Great location and facilities ”

Great location between Clarke Quay and Chinatown. 10minute walk from either MTR. Choose a room on the upper floors for great views! The room was fully air conditioned clean, compact and functional. The bed was really comfortable with a choice of pillows. The breakfast was plentiful and filling. The bonus was the rooftop pool and two jacuzzi’s offering fantastic views of Singapore’s skyline. Late checkout upto 2pm if requested. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Great hotel”

Our 1 night pre cruise was very comfortable. Check in was very pleasant and easy sabastian was very friendly and a quick check in. Breakfast was pleasant and all that you need. Room was clean and comfortable all you need for a couple of days. We stayed at Novotel last time but will stay at holiday inn express from now on. Value for money
