Unexpectedly fantastic hotel, helpful staff, clean”

I would like to help other travellers by giving you an honest review of this hotel, because the reason i chose this hotel was because of the other reviews i read as well. I checked in with my 16yrold daughter and we were both iimpressed with the simplicity yet optimum functionality of Hotel 81 Heritage. The room is just right for the basics that you need, a clean rightsized bed, clean toilet and bath with hot water, and coffee and tea compliments of the hotel. Will definitely recommend for my friends. Great for family trips so you can have a safe hotel at a friendly price and use your money more on shopping and food. Really contented. I particularly would like to commend the frontdesk personnel. They all did a good job and they sincerely offer help on finding your way around Singapore. One of them even gave me a printout of the nearest Catholic Churches, as I asked her where can we go to mass nearby. And another one, hailed a cab for me. Thank you and see you again!

Comfy room and good surroundings ”

Its really nice staying at 81 Heritage. Once we were arrived, the staff greeted us with great smile and offer us to keep our belongings while we fetch our friend up. Once we enter the room, it was lovely though a bit small. They prepared standard plus room facility (we even saw DVD player!) and I think thats why they got ISO certificate for their services. As Singapore have variety of ethnics, I recommend this hotel area for those who are Muslim. Besides Little India where we can easily get halal food, around this hotel there are several Muslim restaurant in front of Sultan Mosque. *please note that we didnt request for any food from hotel

Sweet Escape”

We had a pretty good time staying at Hotel 81 Heritage during our last stay. If you're looking for a budget friendly accommodation, you can never go wrong with this hotel. You get what you pay for so don't expect 5star quality but the hotel is comfortable enough for sure. The staff are very accomodating and friendly as well. The location is walksteps away from the Arab Street and Haji Lane so shopping is very much available. As for food, the hotel doesn't offer food but there are restaurants just across the street. More food choices around the Arab St as well. Location is not very close to the MRT stations about 5-10 minutes away. But it's a good walk. The sceneries on the way to the train is uplifting and enjoyable. Definitely staying at this hotel again soon! Will be posting more on my blog soon. Small but adequate. Great staffs. Worth it.”

The staffs will always try their best to help you. It’s very near to restaurants & grocery stores. Nicoll Highway MRT is just a short distance away. There’s a decent Malay restaurant just a short distance across the hotel which serve delicious breakfast. They do our room everyday as instructed. If u like spacious room, I’d say u request for a triple room instead. Im satisfied with the double room for two people though. You can also buy tickets for the attractions from the hotel receptionists which is cheaper than Klook! They have transportations that can send you to Changi Airport or even to USS but of course u have to pay for it. Overall, I like this place. You get what you pay for. Thank you Hotel 81 Heritage 😊.

Good Budget Hotel”

Hotel 81 Heritage Pros. Friendly helpful staff Hot water pot with one free coffee and tea sachet and bottle of water Clean well maintained room Good wifi, I stayed in room 217 back of the hotel Quiet Bathroom small but well maintained Small Grocery next door Close to restaurants and bars Close to the Golden Mile Complex, buses to Malaysia and shops Cons Room air con controlled from the front desk..you call they adjust Small room 1 meter space from wall to bed Narrow hallways Small desk.. But it fits the small room. Bottom line for a short stay you could do much worse. It has all the bells and whistles you expect in a budget hotel.. For me staying much longer than a couple of nights would prove claustrophobic but for a quick stop over it fills the bill.

A budget hotel suited for short stay in the city”

This is a budget hotel and we definitely got what we paid for. The room is a bit small but it was very clean, and the staff cleaned the room everyday. Our basic needs were met, there was hot/cold shower, water heater, tv (limited channels) and bed. No mini ref though. We travelled a lot during the day and went home late at night so we just needed a place to sleep in for the next day's adventures. That's why, we opted to just get a budget hotel and we didn't go wrong with Hotel 81 Heritage. The staff were very friendly. The hotel also provides easy access to most parts in the city. There's a bus stop across the street from the hotel but in order to get to most attractions in the city, a short walk to the bus stop before Sultan Mosque is also available. There are two supermarkets next door to the hotel and there's also a food court named Sultan's Kitchen just across the street. Roasted Delights is a must-try since the food is very cheap (2.5-3 sgd) and not bad too.

Great budget hotel with efficient frontdesk staff”

i am so happy that i made a good choice just by relying on the reviews posted by previous clients of hotel 81 heritage. it's my first time to book in a budget hotel and i was a bit scared of what to expect, but i was very much delighted by what i got with the budget that i had. 5nights stay and it's really a great value for money! a good 5-10minutes walk to the nicoll hway mrt station depending on your speed, quiet surroundings, and very affordable places to eat within the area. location is very close to the esplanade, promenade, marina bay. very accessible. free one serving of instant coffee and milk tea everyday. wifi available. the hotel is also next doors with several spa shops. i didn't try them though.

Friendly staff but noisy guests”

we stayed at the hotel 81 heritage for almost two weeks while waiting for working papers to go through. it was very reasonably priced, clean, and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. the room was a bit larger than other singapore budget hotels i've stayed in, and the staff usually gives complimentary wifi if you book your room online. the biggest downside to the hotel 81 heritage is that it is quite noisy. the walls are very thin, so you hear every footstep of the people that walk by your room. there is also a chinese ktv lounge across the street, so you get some late night drunks that stumble through the halls knocking on the wrong doors. if you're looking for a cheap hotel close to arab street and either lavender mrt (ew line) or nicoll highway mrt (circle line) i would recommend it. if you're here for business and need a good nights sleep, i would suggest someplace in a quieter area.

I will stay here next time. Location is clean, good and quite close to Lavender MRT, Golden Mile Complex ( Bus express center to go Malaysia). Martin is a very nice receptionist who is kind and friendly. I wanted to stay one more day but got some problem with Internet and have no phone number, that's why I could not book by agoda or contact hotel. I must stayed in Ariana Hotel and had 2 terrible smelly rooms but expensive. I wish have chance to come back this nice hotel Heritage 81 soon

Nice hotel, economics but comfortable”

i stayed at Hotel 81 heritage for 3 nights. My room type is triple room that clean every day. i can deposit room key to the reception and return key at late night with smile services. That's very comfortable. The hotel provide three waters every day. However the local supermaket near the hotel buy the cheap water. That's very good. Moreover the hotel provide free-wifi for three laptops. I appreciate it The hotel quite far from MRT but good for sightseeing.

Awesome Staff”

The best thing about our whole stay in the hotel is the staff, specially Razi. Check in was very easy and he would always greet us when we pass by the hotel lobby. The room is clean, the aircon is cold and they would change the towel everyday. The hotel is near Bugis MRT Station. We really had a pleasant stay in Hotel 81 Heritage.

receptionists are friendly and efficient, the room is just enough for the two of us.. clean and most of all, very safe place to stay. we had a very good sleep at night.. it was a very relaxing and quiet place to stay. although the location is not easily accessible to public transport, walking and strolling on the area is very safe... we feel at home in hotel 81 heritage... will recommend to others..

Economic hotel for travelling ”

i liked staying at hotel 81 heritage. The location is near everywhere. i could find food easy. i could take taxi or mrt easier. Actually i wanted to book other hotel at first but in the future i will choose hotel 81 heritage . I will aslo introduce hotel 81 heritage to my relatives or friends

Good location but the room is small”

lovely hotel and service with a smile”

this hotel is the best hotel within the 81 range. the hotel is located between two mrt stations allowing the visitor easy access to any sightseeing area. the rooms though small were very clean and cosy. we were provided with complimentary bottles of water as well as tea/coffee making facilities. the front desk staff deserves our thanks as they contributed to make our stay a most pleasant one.

I was a pleasant stay for a budget hotel. near Lavender and Bugis MRT station and we can take bus to these MRT stations from the bus shelter near this hotel. to Bugis MRT can take 980, to Lavender MRT can take 107. From Lavender MRT can take 107 to this hotel. For muslims, this hotel is only a walk away from halal restaurants near Kandahar/Arab Street. There you can also found Sultan Mosque and Malay heritage centre.

Worthed if you want to stay at Bugis area”

This hotel is nearby the bus stop. The staff, especially Wynne is very very helpful. She is always there to accomadate our needs including telling/guiding the directions. Hotel itself is very clean, small but okay lah for hotel nearby Bugis. Halal eateries also nearby and seven eleven was just cross the road. But this hotel dont have ice box ( small refrigerator) or swimming pool, but they have bath tub for triple room. We enjoy our stay here

Strategic Location”

Pros - its very near to many tourist spots like Haji Lane etc. Walking distance to Mustafa and Bugis Village. Has bus stop just across the hotel. Most of all very near to many mrt stations. Provides coffee and water everyday. Cleans the room everyday. Provides bath towels everyday. Cons - The bathroom and cr is not separated to each other or no divider so you’ll wet almost everything inside. No toiletries provided except for toothbrush and toothpaste. Will I return again to this hotel? Yes! Of course. They have friendly staff and the room is nice. Nothing fancy but it is comfortable. With TV and ref :)

Good Value; Convenient to transport, Friendly”

Good value hotel in a good location. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean and cosy. My room was small but well appointed and all I needed for 2 nights. The hotel is surrounded by convenience stores, cafes, restaurants and massage outlets... Sultan's Kitchen across the road offers good, cheap food and drinks, and during the day is very popular with locals. And a few minutes walk away is Arab St and numerous more eating and drinking options. Best of all, the wonderful MRT is a stroll away, with Lavender and Bugis on the East West line and a short, comfortable ride to Changi Airport when the time comes. Thanks again to the staff for everything.
