Simple, clean and excellent staff”

I stayed in this hotel while visiting Singapore for 9 days. The location is excellent as it is near Paya Lebar which allows getting into most parts of Singapore within 60 minutes. It is also only 2km walk from the East Coast seaside where you can have a swim. Nearby are two food courts which is great for mixing with the locals, who are all super friendly and polite. Down Joo Chiat road there is a laundry within easy reach. The fruit shop on this same road is really worth a visit, just get guidance from the staff for the right ripeness. The room was cleaned daily and everything looked nice and new. Only downside, the walls are a bit thin so you can get disturbed by lesser considerate guests.

+ location close to Paya Lebar MRT Station makes it easy to reach most Singapore attractions such as Gardens by the Bay, Mac Ritchie Reservoir, Botanic Garden, City Centre, East Coast Park, ... + easy to reach from Changi Airport + modern and clean rooms + very friendly staff - yes, rooms are quite small but for the price and considering that you are mostly there for sleeping, big enough - walls and doors are a bit thin, so you can hear noise from outside

Excellent”

Hotel Classic by Venue was a pleasant surprise. We initially planned to take the train from Changi airport. But decided to take a bus instead which took about 20 mins. The Joo Chiat Complex bus stop is just a minute walk to the hotel. We arrived at around 7pm and check went smoothly. The room was shockingly small though. I booked a triple room with 1 double and 1 single bed for 2 adults and 3 kids. The bed was nice and the linens were new but we didn't have much space to move around. Still, the management was able to pack it with everything you'll need: mini-ref, coffee and tea making facility, free bottled water and even a blowdry. It also comes with complete toiletries and the bathroom is still new based on the fixtures. Wifi is fast and the tv is connected to the internet so you can watch youtube from there. You can also take a bus going to the different tourist areas like Bugis, Vivo City, etc. from the stop near the hotel. It's quite a walk to and from the nearest MRT station so I'd recommend the bus instead.

Great Service”

My 2 weeks stay in Classic Hotel was very comfortable. The hotel is clean and staff are all very friendly. I would like to commend hotel Manager Kenneth, who has been very helpful and nice. The location of the hotel is also very good. Nearby lots of restaurants and hawker centre. Everything is within a walking distance. Will be booking a room again when I fly back to Singapore next year!

Pleasant stay”

Got a free upgrade to triple room. Staffs were very friendly and accommodating. Great location as there are some good food and convenience store within walking distance. Tv comes with YouTube feature. Prefer this hotel classic venue to their other venue hotels along the street.

Value for money”

The hotel closed to lots of food stalls choices, a bit far from a MRT station (approx 1 km by walking distance) but easy and near access for bus. The google map really help my husband on his trip around Singapore. Recommend the hotel if you're a solo or couple traveler, the room is bit small if travel with children. Wifi was excellent, the TV room have interactive you tube channel on it, but mostly only local Singapore channel available to watch. No breakfast available due to lots of food stalls options around the hotel.

Sparse but clean, with a few "but"s...”

We arrived at half past 1 in the morning, and the hotel was kind enough to extend our checkout until 14.00 so we could still get a good night's sleep. The building was very sparse and clinical and looked very tidy. The room was small and had no window, but well lit and looked clean. The size of the beds was ok, but they were hard and not very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, and dental kits, soap and shampoo and soft towels were available. All in all, ok for a night's layover. However, my friend had her arms and ankles covered by red rashes/bites the next morning, so probably bedbugs. Because of that, I can't see myself staying again, or give others an honest recommendation.

Surprisingly Great”

I booked this hotel at the very last minute - and my requirements were not easy to fulfill: it had to be relatively cheap, clean, modern, good location - close to SMRT, malls, food courts and busses, and most importantly for my son, it had to have a pool. This met all those requirements. At first when I got into the room I was disappointed by how tight it was and how there was no window. But what won me over on this hotel was the staff and their amazing diligence to keeping everything exceedingly clean. You could probably eat off the shower floor, it was that clean. I've never been in a hotel that took cleanliness so seriously (and likely never will again unless I come back to this one). The staff is extremely nice. I stayed 10 days with my son and we ate multiple free apples everyday provided at the front desk.The pool was great although it is not in the building - for this you have to go to 81 Tristar, the sister hotel around the corner (nice staff, but a much worse hotel in my op).

We stayed there for 5D/4N with young kids. It was an amazing hotel on a budget, amazing facilities when it comes to cleanliness. Hotel staffs were all nice and accomodating. I highly recommended this Hotel 👍👍👍

Worth Every Money”

The hotel just renovated recently, so it was very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we were using is the triple room, it fits 3 person and 3 luggage and still leave enough space to move. The television is high tech, equipped with Wi-Fi per room and mirroring service for Android and iOS devices. The only drawback is the small toilet area, a little bit squeezed for my 'extra wide' body size, although the shower area is wide enough for us. But we are still comfortable with it. The location is one of the best I experienced so far, there are many hawker center around, means good and cheap food are available, and mostly are halal food vendors. There are a lot of convenience stores too. The nearest bus stop is less than 5 mins walks, to nearest MRT station is just 3-4 bus stop away, or around 10-15 mins walking. The hotel itself only around 10-20 mins (by taxi) from the airport. Overall, it was great experience and will return for the next stay.

Wonderful stay, kind stuff, high quality service”

It was a wonderful stay: kind stuff (we were upgraded two times, permitted to stay 3 hours more after check-out), always with sincere smile and helpful: if it is raining, they provide you with umbrella. The chief manager and all team do pay attention to their guests. The room service is at top: fridge, TV, kettle with tea-coffee set, free water and apples. Towels are changed everyday (you may ask to change linen also). In the majority of rooms, there is no window and it can disturb your stay, but for this price it's the best offer. The swimming pool is situated in the other hotel ans you should cross the backyard to get there (and it's always smelly and dirty), but it's clean and with no much chlorium. And no big crowd. The hotel is situated a bit far from the metro station (10 min walk), but the bus to the center stops in 50 meters. We really enjoyed our stay and thanks a lot the hotel stuff for their hospitality.

budget hotel with enough cleanness and convenience”

We booked this hotel at the last minute due to our original booked hotel has no power outlet that fit our US laptop power cable. I know most of the hotel in Singapore will have a hybrid power outlet which meets both British and US standards. So I decided to search for an alternative stay for that night. This hotel caught up my eye due to its affordable price and also meet all the standards we required, such as cleanness and amenity, etc. I recommend it for budget travelers.

Amazing 5* recommended”

Our stay at ocean lodge was fantastic, better than expected. Ocean Lodge is the place to book for your stay in Langkawi. Didi is a tremendous host he treats you like family, and his wife makes the best breakfast ever. The hotel is located a little out of the town, which is fantastic as it's hushed. The bedroom is fabulous larger than what you would get in Singapore. The bedroom is clean and cleaned daily. Every day we would wake up, and didi’s wife would make us breakfast. We would eat breakfast and rest in the hammocks. Didi would come and sit with us and tell us where to go and spend the day. Whatever you need, he will provide. We need laundry doing he took our clothes and got them washed — a very safe place to be. Wifi is available in and around the building, and it's very fast — the best experience we had.

Perfect for solo traveller”

I chose Standard Double Room for a night stay. Lobby has friendly staffs mending the counter. Hotel lobby smelt purely welcoming. Already expected the room to be small as there wasnt any window. Air condition was a little warm throughout the night. Room was boxy, toilet is great, i love the concept of the marbled design and its great having a toilet with a bidet spray. Perfect small room for a short term stay for 1 person. Cleanliness wise, good as well. Only downside is, as this place is small and not spacious, as we are side by side with other rooms, you can hear footsteps, door closing and opening. Hotel is directly opposite Joo Chiat Complex, through the same entrance, lots of shop along the street with a 711 by the corner. Had a wonderful stay.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. The location is great, it’s near food establishments, mall, MRT station, bus stop,money changer, basically everything one would need in a hotel.

Gives that comfortable and simpler "hotel feels" for a better price”

Usually hotels in this area (around Geylang) are cheaper (compared to the more popular hotels) and... this area had some seedy reputation. But that's so far from how we felt about this hotel. This hotel was actually nice. This nearest subway to this hotel is about 850 meters. The walkway was not covered. But about 300 meters, there's a bus that can take you to the nearest subway station more conveniently. When we came, we were greeted warmly by the staff. We were even offered cold towels to cool our faces or our hands. Wifi is provided, water bottles, toiletries and towels. There is TV, mini-ref, hair dryer. It is a nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay there so much.

Quite Good”

For Indonesian people this hotel room is incredible cause they have jetwasher in the toilet, the toilet is like 4 stars hotel, the nearest mrt is paya lebar and quite far from hotel (walk around 10-15mins). The room is not good for family cause it consider too small if you bring kids along but very nice for couple like us. Thanks anyway love it
