“Cost performance and location are excellent!”
Thank you for taking care of us on the weekday after Obon. Most of the other guests were foreigners. The location of the facility was about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, which was very good. We drove this time, but it seemed that a reservation was needed for parking, and when we arrived, it was full. When I called to confirm, I was told that we could get a parking service voucher for facilities near Kyoto Station. It seems that entering the parking lot after 8:30 PM is cheaper without a service voucher. However, after 8:30 AM on weekdays, there is an additional charge of 300 yen for every 30 minutes. It would have been nice to know that information in advance. The guest room was a triple room, spacious and very clean, allowing us to relax comfortably. The toilet and sink especially felt luxurious. There was also a water service, which was appreciated. The amenities were available for pick-up next to the front desk. If I were to be picky, it would have been nice to have hair oil and a brush. The large public bath had one indoor and one outdoor bath. The indoor bath felt a bit too hot. The outdoor bath didn’t offer any view of the outside, and since it was summer, it was hardly different from the indoor one. I was happy to receive ice cream after the bath, but it was unfortunate that there were many foreigners, and the way they used the washing area was quite poor. There was a lot of hair on the floor and sink, which was unpleasant. Additionally, the drainage in the hair washing area was poor, likely because hair was clogged, and while washing my hair, I became concerned as water gradually accumulated. I think it would be necessary to have the cleaning staff come in more frequently or to inform about cleaning up one’s own hair after use through posters. Even just placing something like a mop that can be quickly used for cleaning would make a difference. I also think it is necessary to provide information to foreigners who may not know how to use the onsen. For example, tying up hair before bathing or wearing underwear when drying hair (as there were people drying their hair completely naked…). Aside from the cleanliness of the large public bath and the lineup for the breakfast buffet, it was a very nice hotel. Thank you.
