"First of all, the staff are amazing. Very friendly and professional. They work fast and give the best support to me. I like the location as it is in the middle of Johor Bahru, situated in between two of the best shopping malls in the city. Lots to see and do. The room is comfortable, fresh and clean. Though the bathroom could be better (a bit small and water pressure not so strong). Other than that, I highly suggest this hotel!"

"Best price you can get right in the middle of Johor Bahru City Center, ease of walking distance to the CIQ if you plan to travel to Singapore while nearby shopping center allows easy access to food and retail purchasing. One thing if you travel by car to this place, you need to pay parking per day/entry (RM6) via TnG card, but the hostel offers top-up value service. Accommodation wise they have clean comfy beds and every bed has a charging station and grooming mirror. Their common area is well equipped for both heavy or light cooking and storing your food. Shared baths have shower heaters feature and hair dryer. Longer term travelers have a lot of value gained for this price. Depending on which part of the building your bedroom located, mine L2B2 is located near to a noisy bar premise, so it is a little distracting when I am trying to sleep. It would have been solved with a sound-proof window. Staff are very friendly in guiding me around the place to familiarize with the area. "

"Top notch hotel. My wife and I stay here about twice a month as we visit my mum-in-law who’s Malaysian. We have gotten to know all the staff by name. Management, front desk, security and even the house keeping. Every time we’re there, they have gone out of their way to make sure we’re comfortable. The rooms are clean, large, and well maintained. Breakfast is really decent too. Or so my wife says, as I’m always asleep at that time. If we have a quip, it’ll have to be the way the blinds in the toilet are angled. If you have a room facing the City Square office building, I’m pretty sure they can see you. Still, I’ve brought this up to both the front desk and security to inform the management. So I’m confident they’ll get that fixed soon. All in all, this is without a doubt, the best hotel in central JB for us. And yes, we tried the 5 star ones too. Hotel, 4 stars. Staff, 10 stars. Keep up the good work guys!"

"1) Location Very strategic location and near to many eatery places. It is 25 minutes' drive to Legoland, 35 minutes' drive to Forest City and 1 hour's drive to Desaru Fruit Farm 2) Apartment Our 2-bedroom apartment is new and clean. Towels and body soap is provided. Washing machine, clothes hangers and 2 poles are provided in the balcony to hang the clothes and towels. Water pressure is good and the water heater works perfectly. However, there is only 1 bathroom/toilet in the 2-bedroom apartment. It would be better if : a) a rubber floor mat is put inside the toilet as it can be slippery when wet. b) more toilet rolls to be provided (we were only provided 2 toilet rolls for 3 nights' stay). We informed the management on the 1st day and they promised to ask the cleaner to deliver the toilet rolls to us, but until the 4th day when we checked-out, the toilet rolls were not delivered. We had to get our own supply. 3) Check-In Procedure This can be improved as follows: a) The Hotel Management should contact the guests at least 1 day before check-in to explain on the check-in procedure. I asked Ivan a day earlier (contact as stated in Agoda) for the contact no. of his collegue who are in charge of the checking-in, as I am concerned that to transfer RM200 as deposit into UHA Management The check-in procedures was only given upon transferring RM200 4) Price The price is reasonable for a 2-bedroom apartment. "We frequent JB, at least once a month hence we are always on a lookout for an affordable yet pleasant stay and we have tried a few good and a couple of bad hotels. Dare we say this is by far the best budget boutique hotel in JB presently. Belllo is new, about a month young hence it is too early to give a fair review but we will be back to review it in 6 months and 1 year. We stayed in the deluxe room 306 which greeted us as we stepped out of the lift. The room was small but cosy and functional. The interior was sleek and contemporary with a window beside the queen size bed. There is a mini fridge and a safety deposit box. We love the rain shower. The air-con is centralized with a controller on the wall - choose "cool" mode, set temp to 23 deg and fan on high and unwind. The soft queen size bed was perfect for two and felt almost like we're floating on clouds. I think they used feather pillows; pillows were good but we had to fold them to be comfortable so we asked for two more. Singapore and Malaysia TV channels in English, Malay, Chinese, Indian and Cable TV such as StarWorld and HBO are available and most are clear. This is important because we love staying in the room. Check in and check out was a breeze. We were greeted by three different receptionists during the course of our stay, one of them was the manager and all of them were pleasant and nice. Even the security guards and housekeeping was smiling and friendly. 2 mins walk from the hotel is the the Meldrum Walk street food, walk 3 mins to City Square Shopping Centre and 5 mins walk to Komtar JBCC. Stay up late shopping at these two shopping malls or catch a midnight movie and not worry about catching a cab. We are very pleased with Belllo and look forward to make it our main stay. We hope that they will keep to their current standards in the years to come as many new hotels in JB are too quick to lose their touch and suffer many complaints from bad customer service to faulty and issues in the rooms."
