ibis Samui Bophut (SHA Plus+)

"Good customer service from the carpark security, reception, and ground staff. Beautiful compound with garden and swimming pool. Being on Bophut Beach itself is a big plus. Just a few minutes walk to Fisherman Village and The Wharf. Excellent!"

Karma Resort (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"The hotel is well located and walking distance to fisherman’s village. Beautiful hotel and lay out incl spacious rooms with very nice decor. Very clean. Good breakfast and very tasty croissants and jam- and breakfast served until 11 am which is great. Staff very friendly. Ideal to relax and feel at home. It would have been perfect - if not for the tv - where one needs a Netflix or prime video own account- so you can’t flick through tv channels. The toiletries did not include body lotion which is a standard in all hotels - even upon request it was not provided although the hotel has a spa. Nevertheless in overall a very nice relaxing weekend. "

The White Cottage
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"Pros: location close to beach and walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, clean with immaculate pool if too lazy to walk to the beach, stylish rooms with fast wifi, fridge, TV and safe deposit box, very helpful staff and owner. Cons... Tad more attention to maintenance would turn this great place into perfect. During my stay I experienced a shower failure, ac would turn on but not off... and there were couple burned out bulbs in the room. Some of this could have been avoided by a tad more thorough checkups prior to check ins. None of this was a real issue as I was moved immediately to a fully functional room."

CELES Beachfront Resort Koh Samui (SHA Extra Plus)
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"Celes is a beautiful resort. New, modern, with a great design, we just didn't want to leave. The pool is gorgeous, just like in the pictures and it was wonderful and relaxing to spend the days between bathing in the sea and pool. The hotel has a nice gym and a library that i used to pick 2 books and read during our stay. The breakfast is very good too. The only negative aspect about the hotel was that the prices of restaurant and spa are too high and there is no activities/ animation after 7pm. But these are minor points because in 15min walking we can find very nice restaurants in fisher man village which was my favorite town in the island. There is even a night market at mondays wednesdays and fridays very clean with great cheap food. There are also 2 or 3 places to eat in the beach just next to celes and many spas with great massages with reasonable prices. We loved our stay and realy recommend celes and fishermam village for a great relaxing stay in koh samui."

Hansar Samui Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"Great location on Bophut, friendly staff (especially Ann, the receptionist, who always has a sweet smile on her face, made sure my requests were all taken care of). Breakfast was delicious, enough to choose both from menu and from buffet (fruits, yoghurt, ice cream, cold and hot dishes). Waffles with cherry topping was so good! My cappuccino was so beautifully made! Had their 2.15hr spa and the therapists did a great job! Very relaxing! Bophut beach overall - the Sabeinglae at the Wharf was ok but the First Sabeinglae was better(must try the mango with sticky rice there, rice was in two colors and served warm). Can’t miss the fireworks shows at Coco Tam’s which is essentially just next to the hotel on the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely stay here again next time I find myself in Samui! Oh and I love the beach bag in the room but it was not available in the hotel boutique shop(they have other models different than the one in the room)..."

Hacienda Fisherman's Village
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"Lovely boutique hotel. Pool on roof has an amazing view. Rooms cleaned daily. The only request would be to have a kettle. Great area to see Bophut. Friday night market draws everyone from the Island there. Atmosphere is thriving on a Friday after 5pm, but the rest of the week is more relaxed to wander the Fisherman Village, local eats are amazingly cheap, and if you wish, you can indulge in the more extravagant cafes. Beaches are warm and clean. Locals are so friendly. No beach sellers here. Foot massages are the best at Yiannik with Reflexology 150bht 30mins. 400 bht to Airport. Motorbikes are the best option to explore the Island, take in the Big Buddha, hike up to the Waterfalls, pull off to many local eats & shopping. Thai people love to smile and welcome you. "

Smile House (SHA Plus+)

"We were very pleased with our bungalow which was well maintained, clean, spacious and quite secluded by the lovely garden shrubbery. The only problem was the efficient but rather noisy air conditioning and I did need to report a roof leak in the bathroom during a downpour! The pool was lovely, with plenty of sunbeds. Crossing the road to the restaurant was not a problem and it was pleasant to enjoy the view whilst having breakfast. The menu remained unchanged every day but there was still a reasonable selection. The restaurant evening menu was pretty much the same as every other restaurant in Bo Phut (and the rest of Samui!) which suggests that they are all buying from the same suppliers but it was reasonably priced. My only concern was the lack og interest and slow service. I agreed to meet my husband at their beach area after his swim. I waited ten minutes before my drink arrived and when he met me we aited a further ten minutes and not one member of staff approached to ask what he would like so we gave up and went elsewhere! Reception and room staff were very helpful. Overall this is a very pleasant resort, reasonably priced and in a good position between the main street of Fishermans Village and the new Wharf complex."

Peace Resort Samui (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"The best thing about the resort was the staff - all smiling, all friendly, all helpful. All are to be congratulated, as is the management. We stayed in a Sea Breeze Pool Villa and cannot fault the villa in anyway, it even had a coffee-pod machine [ instead of the usual, gross Nescafe sachets ]. The wifi was great, the pool crystal clear, the bed was comfortable and a selection of pillows was on-hand. The two negatives I would say about the villa are 1. the TV programmes, not that one is on holiday to watch TV but a movie channel for tropical rain time would be a nice addition and 2. the lack of complete privacy - normally such a villa would be enclosed behind a minimum 2 metre wall but this isn't the case at Peace - here sections of the 'wall' are trimmed trees only, which compromises visual security and, more importantly, physical security - unwanted access can be easily gained, simply by stepping through the branches. The pool is surrounded by plenty of lounges and umbrellas, which more positioned on the beach. The breakfast, about which a number of other reviewers raved, is by no means inadequate but for those of us familiar with resorts in SE Asia, it really isn't in the 'rave' class, so we found it a little disappointing, compared to what the reviews had lead us to expect. Don't worry, you will not go hungry! The resort is located close to The Wharf, which is thankfully not a 'wharf' but a shopping [ sort of ] and restaurant centre, which provides one of the access points to the Fisherman's' Village Walking Street, which is a long, narrow streets enclosed on restaurants and [ souvenir ] shops along both sides, with most of the restaurants on the northern side offering indoor, balcony of beach dining options. The street is also home to a market2-3 times a week and worth a crowded stroll ... Other attractions, such as Chaweng Beach, Lamai, waterfalls 1 and 2, the Big C and Central Festival shopping centres and, of course, massage parlours [ by the thousand"

Pico Beach Bungalows and Resort
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"If you are looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you...if you are looking for good value and a comfy bed then you'll be fine. It's a fairly new resort and whilst the rooms were basic they were modern, clean, decent TV (option to use your Netflix account), small fridge but little else. These are not beach bungalows which are actually 'on the beach', so the views are not good, but there are loungers on the beach so bathers can relax. The swimming pool is very small and no one used it during the time I was there, and I would not say the resort was big enough for families with small children, but good for couples and solo travellers. It's located well, with a brisk 10 minute walk to fisherman's village to some shopping and good night life. Staff were friendly enough. Minor quibble that breakfast only starts at 8am, and whilst I did go for the scrambled eggs, I'd grab something on the way out if you've somewhere to be. "

Bo Phut Resort & Spa (SHA Extra Plus)
Bo Phut,The Wharf Samui - View on map
"Everyone was very friendly and helpful in the resort. The facility is a 5 stars, but the personnel are 6 stars. I have never come across any resort staffs better than them. Very polite, helpful, friendly and always wear a smile. The place looked exactly the same as photos shown. My friend left a swimming suit in her room. We left a day after her, so we called the front desk trying to locate it. After the staffs found it, they dried it and put it in a plastic bag, and left it in our room. Fantastic service. We didn't have to stand in line to check-in. We were offered to sit down in the reception area. The receptionist took our passports and returned within 5 minutes. Welcome drinks were served. The receptionist took us to our room and explained everything in the room to us. The bell person took our luggages to our room and left. Not like other hotel, whom would stand around for a tips. The resort facilities were well kept and clean. My friends stayed in the villa, and the room was just fantastic as ours but bigger with sitting area. The washroom is the same size as the bedroom. The gym is a little bit small but it has all the main stuffs for a vacation type of workout. The fisherman's Wharf is only 10 min walk from the resort. There are a few local restaurants and massage places just outside the hotel. If you are looking for a good massager, 'Dang' working in the massage place across the street is a very experienced and excellent Thai massager. Size wise, you can't compare this to a big resort, but you will enjoy the very relaxing atmosphere, and superb personnel of this resort. "
