We loved our stay @ Shiva! Staff were very friendly and we were fortunate to get an upgrade to 3 bedroom villa with private pool which made a big difference to our stay. Villa was very private and had everything we needed as a young family, fully equipped kitchen and villa is very spacious. location is a bit far away from other places its best you hire a car or a motorbike like us. If you go to Chaweng expect to pay about 700 baht to get back to resort. Breakfast was a let down, we had buffet breakfast the first morning there but the following days after that it was ala carte service where we order from the menu which was very limited and repetative. Gym facility was old doesn't look like any of the equipment works. We had a good facial and massage at the Spa how ever the atmosphere could have been nicer, it thought the Spa was very run down and old and is right next to a dam that looks very bushy and messy not a good sight esp when you're paying more for a Spa treatment.

Wonderful place in a nice and quiet enviroment. The bungalows are too good to be true, you wont miss a thing! The staff is the best we've met, good service, frindly and they always greets you with a smile! The breakfast is great and so is the restaurant you get to dine in. If you ever get tired of the fantastic resort and it´s calm surrondings the hotel offers a free shuttlebus to Chaweng or to Lamai (you get happy by just looking at the polite driver). We really recommend this resort, it's the best we have been to!

We booked the standard room 104 only which is very nice, clean and gives us a very good boutique atmosphere. Shower water was not hot at all but this issue got fixed within no time after telling the reception. Cleaning staff girl amazingly friendly and did one of the best jobs I ve ever seen in a hotel (I stay for business usually between 2-10 nights a month in 4-5* hotels!). It was not only clean, it was perfectly clean and everything sorted and brought in order!! The three pools are very nice and clean as well! The beach is sooo beautiful and kept in a very clean condition as well. Really I cannot understand people rating it bad. Staff all over the hotel incredibly friendly with an almost perfect hospitality! Food in the restaurant is good. Cocktails could be more sophisticated... Free Breakfast in the morning is delicious and has got western standard. Orange juice in some comments rated before is good although it's not fresh made in front of you. we ll come back again !

This hotel is a diamond in the rough... I don't know why it it because this hotelis the BEST hotel I've been to in Thailand and I've stayed in over 20+ hotel on the islands and in the cities. I mean when they say all inclusive massages that's EXACTLY what they mean. ALL the massages are FREE. The only thing I can tell you is the plan your day around you massages. When you get there you have to be aggressive on the scheduling of the massages to ensure you get everything everyday more than 1x a day and then do your excursions and go into town. The staff are so friendly, over accommodating, and truly care about you. The General Manager leads by example with his hospitality. The bar, the breakfast, dinner, your own personal pool and peace and quiet is all there. I loved this place. I don't care if you see some guest that complain about it from time to time. Everyone has a different experience and trust me those complaining guest are very few because there's nothing to complain about. What more can I say about this place besides.... YOU HAVE TO COME SEE IT YOURSELF :) -Cheers-

Booked 4 nights in a 2 bedroom room apartment. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door - the apartment was very spacious, with a huge terrace overlooking the pools over to the sea. An idyllic holiday view! We had a very nice time there, ferrying between the Shasa and another resort where our friends were staying. The staff was very helpful to arrange transport and babysitting. The restaurant had very good Thai dishes - we didn't try the other choices. Only downside is the location - on a rocky outcrop of southern Koh Samui so no way of getting to Hua Thanon beach (the nearest long stretch of sand with a few restaurants and other resorts) without taking the hotel car. Still, highly recommended if you are looking for a secluded holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai beach.

We arrived with three guys at the fishermans Chalet. After ko phangan and ko tao we searched for something more quiet and relaxing. The staff was very nice from the beginning. The Bungalows are super clean and the Air con is realy good. Every Day two small bottles of drinking water. We rented two Scooters for 3 days from the Hotel. It was the best Rent in our one month Thailand Trip. If you walk down from your Bungalow theres the fishermans restaurant. The Food was delicious and the staff was very nice. We definatly recommonend the Fishermans Chalet and would Love to come back.

This hotel is in a quite good location I would recommend you stay here it is very cheap and more quite than noise lamai has a great market near by and is near the ocean and countryside the back rooms are the best the beds are very comfortable and the tv has meney internationals stations big fridge and good balcony near three 24 hour shops and some good Thai restraints lovely park on the ocean

We just stayed in Villa Julia from March 31st until April 8th. We booked the total villa for ourselves it was not booked as a shared accomodation. My young daughter woke up in the middle of the night and went into one of the rooms ,which my grandchildren were using periodically, if they didn’t end up in their parents bed,to get some toilet paper and found a stranger lying in the bed. She got so scared. She was traumatized. When you book a villa you want to feel safe and secure. It’s totally unacceptable to find a stranger sleeping in a bed when you pay for the whole villa for your own use. We were later to find out that it was a member of the staff . We want full compensation as we did not book a shared accomodation villa . My daughter is completely traumatized as a result . And we are devastated at the lack of safety and security when booking accomodation through a reputable website. And our holiday was ruined as a result.
