A three Star Inn with 5 star Services”

Location: We have been in many resorts while traveling both for business and pleasure. This time we choose to explore Seoul as a backpack type to experience the differences. We chose Icheck Inn Sukhumvit 19 for the purpose.It is very well located within public such as bus or metro line (subway). It is very convenient and close to shopping and attraction. The Icheck Inn is new, clean, welcoming from lobby to our room on 4th floor. Bed sheets were made every days. Bath towers were also changed every days.Wi-fi connection was solid for me to watch movies every night while my wife was on line chatting without interruption. Staffs: Manager in charge during our 8 days stay was Ms. Elle (most people called her "Ellie" was very friendly,professional and resourceful. She speaks English fluently and was our best concierge. Her Staffs were also helpful. They went out of the way to help when asked. Value: locate next to shopping mall, restaurants,public transportation,Sukhumvit street without the hassle of steeping price of 5 star hotel. it was nice, quiet and safety for us to walk on the street any time or to sleep without experiencing any noises. Overall, We are really glad to find Icheck Inn and more likely, Ms. Elle as manager for Icheck Inn during our stay. Surely it is not a resort status like we accustom to but truly we feel like it was a home away from home. We definitely book it again if we return to Bankok.

Perfect for all my needs!!!”

Had a great 5 nights here. To find iCheck Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 19 just walk past the Key Hotel a few meter on the same street (also there's a Korean & Japanese restaurant as well as a Spa next to it). There is not sign right now so again just pretend you are going to the Key Hotel and keep walking. It's right next to the Grottino Swiss Restaurant. If you past Family Mart on the left on Soi 19 you have gone too far!!! It's on the street just before Family Mart. Just turn left there and walk 25 meters. The hotel is on the left too. The hot water is strong although probably it's supplied from a small hot water gas tank for each room so for big families it might not last and need to recharge between showers but for me or 2 it's perfect. Location is beyond excellent. Only a couple minutes to Sukhumvit by foot (2 ways to get there turn right or left after leaving the hotel). So Terminal 21 or the Robinsons Department right next door. Great food court in Terminal 21. Had a mixed fruit shake every day there too for 37 Baht. Plus there's some good street food in front of the Family Mart & 7/11 as well. Wifi worked like a charm with multiple devices. Bed a bit hard but the pillows dreamy and loads of them. Safe big enough for the 14" laptop very nice. Plenty enough TV channels for me. And it was very quiet too. Very nice staff as well. It's connected to the Grottino Swiss Restaurant although not the same owners in the lobby. The lobby is nothing fancy but it's fine for me. The only thing I can say is maybe if you are coming home very late like 2 am after the restaurants on the street close it's a bit dark. Not a problem for me but maybe for a family or female traveling alone. Still they said they have a security guard usually but he was away during my stay. I will definitely stay here again.

Excellent staffs and operations”

Every staff that I met in this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping lady who cleaned my room is ultra helpful. When I asked for an iron and ironing board, she brought it into my room and helped me set it up, all in less than 5 minutes after making a call to the reception. When I was leaving the hotel on the first day to attend a function, it was raining very heavily. The same housekeeping lady immediately stopped me and asked me to wait while she went searching for an umbrella for me! I didn't even ask for it. It was done with the greatest mindset and initiative of being in a hospitality industry. I don't get this kind of service and initiative even when staying at some 5-star hotels! This little action touched me and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Checking in and out were fast and effortless. The staffs who assisted me in the check-in and out were polite and helpful. A great thumb-up for iCheck Inn! You have selected and trained your staffs in a way that is best-in-class. The only drawbacks with the staying experience are that (1) no slipper and toiletries are provided although there is a bathrope...and (2) no utensils such as teaspoon/stirrer and cups in the room so if I need to make myself a cup of tea (coffee and hot chocolate are provided free at the reception though) I will need to call the recept and ask for the kitchenware to be sent to the room. All in all, iCheck Inn is an accommodation which now makes it to my list. I have just found myself a gem. Hopefully I will get the same level of services in other branches.

Good Location”

The icheck inn on this little side soi off of Sukhumvit Soi 19 that runs along the other side of Terminal 21. The hotel itself is not fancy or have any amenities but it's in a great location and very clean. The rooms are big enough and have all you need for a budget hotel. The wifi wasn't great but it worked for the most part. The price is a little higher than other icheck inns but maybe due to demand and location. There is a great mexican restaurant just next door and a bunch of great restaurants within walking distance. Terminal 21, BTS, and MRT are all within a 5 min walk. I have stayed here twice.

Hidden gem”

Was very surprised by how good a quality this place was. Located directly behind the huge westin hotel on a mini soi of soi 19. Basic on the outside with a Swiss restaurant at the entrance. Reception is ok, but once you enter your room you walk into another world. Very modern with plenty of new furnishings Huge comfy bed Big clean bathroom View of carpark (didn't bother me in slightest) Great staff Right in the middle of sukhumvit and 2 mins walk from asoke BTS station. Would definitely stay again as you are right in the middle of everything, but the soi and the hotel is very quiet. Great stay

My preferred low budget hotel in Sukhumvit”

this is a small hotel, with the reception tugged away behind the restaurant. the rooms are exceptionally big for a hotel in this price range, the design of the rooms is quite modern. they have good and fast internet connection and i had a flat panel tv in my room. hot/cold water in the shower is sometimes a bit difficult to regulate. the room was clean and well maintained. they have a very good restaurant offering swiss/european food. they have thai food too but i never tried. location is perfect near asok on sukhumvit, in a small street behind robinson's. very central with asok skytrain station 3 minuts walk away and yet very quiet. at this price range this is definitely my favourtite hotel in the area. managed by swiss people, always helpful if needed. a big plus, is that if they haven't resold the room to a new arrival you can ask the management for very late check out, and they will comply. i had a midnight flight and was able to check out 8pm no surcharge!!! as i sais staff/managment very helpful

Excellent value in this price range”

In the $50 or less a night price range this is a great hotel. Only issue wifi in some rooms is weak. Seems like the back of hotel rooms. But staff gave me a different wifi address to use. SO HOTEL WIFI could be better. Otherwise very clean ,great location,nice ambiance in rooms. This is on Soi 19 a nice soi. Close but quiet. Behind KEY hotel in side street. AC ,hot water all work well and good tv channels. Would definitely stay again if price does not go up. Guest friendly.

Also connected to the mall is the Sukhumvit MRT and the Asoke BTS, you can't get a better location. Staying here, you have easy access to all parts of Bangkok and more.

Nice location and value for money”

A small hotel but a perfect location to roam around in Bangkok. Need improvements in the reception/lobby area and they must put phone in the room. The grottino restaurant looks gloomy. But overall Icheck inn is a good hotel to stay.

Nice hotel, convenient location good service”

room was clean and well appointed, staff friendly and helpful. restaurant serves a good variety of food especially swiss food. located in a side alley off sukhumvit soi 19 close to asoke sky train station and bts station makes a convenient centre for seeing bangkok. good eating places and shopping nearby.

Top location”

Located behind Robinson's Department Store in Sukhumvit, this hotel is only a five minute walk from the Sukhumvit/Asok BTS/MRT Interchange, making it a great location for exploring Bangkok. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was in something of a wif-fi blind spot. The restaurant had a fairly limited menu, so I did not eat there, but there are numerous options nearby. The bed was, as always, very firm, but as comfortable as most in Thailand. Staff were friendly and accommodating and late checkout was no problem.

Great Budget Hotel”

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, and I really liked it. The location is ideal, close to the BTS Asoke station, the MRT entrance, and the mall Terminal 21 which is practical. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable (especially the bed) and practical (there is a desk if you need to get some work done). The hotel is situated in a back soi, so although it's in this nightlife-oriented neighborhood, it is super quiet and peaceful. Staff is nice and helpful. I had a booking problem (I chose the wrong dates on Agoda) and the manager of the hotel was nice enough to take the time to try to solve it, using his time and energy to make sure everything was alright. I used to go to another place on Sukhumvit during my stays in BKK, but this hotel is much better for the same price range, will return without a doubt.

Simple”

ICheck Inn are a chain of hotels, this one is located very close to Terminal, big shopping mall and Asoke BTS which is a big transportation hub for the skytrain and the underground train. Great location, hotel is decent and room while a bit old are big and important to me, clean.

Great Mid-Priced Room”

The only issues were noise inside and outside (in a busy alley in central Bangkok), bring earplugs. A warning also, if you have balance or movement issues, the wood floors are incredibly slippery, both my wife and I nearly fell down just walking across the room several times and we are not disabled or otherwise comprimised. Wearing socks is not an option you'll be flat on your face in no time. I loved the furniture in the room, very comfortable nice new bed, a wonderful small sofa to sit on and work or relax. The wood floors, wall hangings, lighting made the room beautiful almost. Even the my window looked out on a dingy dusty space, they provided sliding wooden shutters and the room was so cheery and nice I had no need for a view. During the week I was there, the internet was fast and reliable with the exception of a 2 hour outage which my computer said was a problem on the internet provider's side, not the hotel. The shower was always warm with good water pressure.

Great budget hotel in a superb Bangkok location”

Staff are very helpful from checkin to checkout. Room is large with all mod cons and great value for money, even if looking a little out-dated. It’s the best location on Sukhumvit road with BTS, MRT and T21 right on your doorstep. No pool or gym but that’s not why I stay there... I’ll be coming back here again as great location and value for a big room on Sukhumvit!

4D3N stay ”

We initially arrived at Bangkok but the taxi uncle was unable to locate hotel as it is in the small alley. However, there is a 24h family mart as a landmark. It is less than 2 mins walk to Asok bts. Room is clean and big but the wifi is very weak so we have very slow connection. Overall, experience is good, definitely worth the price!

Great location, great staff, great price”

Grottino Residence is a hidden gem in a great Bangkok location,furnished and appointed in the budget European style. Room furnishings are well designed, even to supplying a multi-plug extension cord to accommodate travelers with multiple electronic gadgets. Staff is friendly, helpful and flexible. Swiss restaurant on premises provides authentic (and delicious) Swiss food at a reasonable price.

Clean budget hotel with fantastic location”

However, the hotel has some sort of discomfort odor, probably could be the old carpet. Overall, it's a worthy hotel if you have budget concern. The location is only less than 5 mins walk to Terminal 21, Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. Easy access to many places and there are several convenience stores and massage parlors that are really close by.

Location friendly and clean hotel”

Although the hotel room interior is old, it's very clean and the room make up service standard was very good. Water pressure from shower head was good as this is one of the most important things i look out for when staying in a hotel. A little problem i found was that even if i indicate no make up room, they will still come in to do so when i'm out. Probably because the hotel key card, when removed, will cause the indicator to shut off. Good location as it's less than 5 mins walk to T21/Ashok BTS. It's location is very quietly situated in a small road off the main soi 19. Main entrance during the day is through the restaurant with very nice bakery smell. Checking in was simple and fast without any deposit. I was impressed when i checked out as the front desk staff didn't ask me to wait to check my room for any items taken or consume from mini bar. I passed her the hotel room key and she ask me about consuming any mini bar stuff. I said 'no' and that's it. Checked out! Nice! 1 family mart and two 7 - 11 within 100m.
