Grand Resort on Great Location”

Imperial Phukaew Hill is the biggest resort in Khao Kho area. Although the resort is not new, but well kept. The location is beautiful and near other Khao Kor attractions. Don't miss the Pha Son Kaew Temple. It's really grand and beautiful. Phu Tub Berg Mountain and Phu Hin Rong Kla are also the musts!!

a fantastic stay Phukaew hill resort, the rooms were very big, built on the hillside with great views to wake up to in the morning, definitely need a car, as the hotel is in a national park and very mountainous, but that added to the beauty of the hotel, phetchabun province is a hidden gem in Thailand, very scenic, I will definitely stay at this hotel again, enjoyed every minute.

Nicely located hote in beautiful setting ”

We stayed one nights at Imperial Phukaew Hill Resort and enjoyed the quiet and beautiful setting. However the resot wasn´t easy to find as all sign postage is in Thai. The rooms are huge, clean, full equipped but a bit old fashioned. The view across the valley is brilliant. The biggest downside is the poor restaurant. The dinner we had as well as the breakfast buffet was pretty poor and utterly overpriced. So, just bring your own and enjoy :-)

Before i booked this place, i read the reviews and many people said it's old and not so clean or difficulties for old people. But after spending days gathering informations and comparing places, i found this place is the best price to value in Khao Kho area. Surely built to be the prime hotel since 90s era, the location, the surroundings, atmosphere, view, and buildings, staffs, They're all prime. My room is very clean, not any bad smell or old-ish smell. The TV is a very big 50" screen LED tv. Breakfast are load with both Thai food and american breakfast. Best money ever spent

Everytime we are in Petchabun, we always choose to stay in Imperial Phukaew Hill Resort. With our recent stay, we found out that the room was somewhat renovated which was nice.

Nice hotel and great staff”

I love the room size very spacious, large balcony, and large beds. We stayed in 2 twins rooms, connecting. The building and the room are not new but it is really big with a nice large window showing the nice view. Their staff are very nice, very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great, really nothing to complain for the price we paid, very worth the money. It is located in the Phu Kaew compound where there is also an adventure camp which I did not have a chance to try all the bungee, canoeing and so on. However, I do not recommend this for an elderly, we travelled with our 80 years old mom and she refused to go anywhere because the cabin was located on a hill and she does not like walking too much or climbing the stairs. Over all .. a great hotel on Khao Kho

My partner and I stayed at the Imperial on two separate nights of our recent trip from Chiang Mai to Yasothon. The resort is easy to find and the location is stunning and serene. The room(s) are large and clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The exterior of the buildings are a little worn, however this does not detract from the overall experience of the resort. On the second night we stayed as there weren't many guests our breakfast was prepared fresh to order and you can't ask for any better than that. My one and only complaint is that they did not provide any tea bags in our room(s) and not being a coffee drinker I think this is an over sight. I would like to add that as I carry my own supply I did not approach the reception staff over this issue. Had I, I am sure they would have rectified this minor issue. And perhaps the price of bottled beer served in the restaurant was a little unrealistic at 200 Baht. Overall an excellent place to stay, we will definitely be going back at some point and staying longer.

Resort very cosy with amazing view from all bungalows.Only problem about hot water.Is not so hot and also have to open water and waiting about 3-4 minutes for make it warm(not 30 second as said in instruction how to use hot water). Breakfast buffet ok. Next our visit to Khao Kho we will choose this resort again.

Fantastic hotel and grounds at great price”

This hotel is located in a park like environment just west of Khao Kho, rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast buffet was great and the views are fantastic. Best of all were the prices, which in low season were hard to beat.

Nice place to stay”

This trip is my second trip to Kao Khor and I stay Imperial Phukeaw for both trip I and my family like this place it's very convenience and easy to drive also the place nice too. I like the hotel room I book connecting room so it likes I stay home and can enjoy with all family. If the hotel can improve the dinner serve the local food I think all guest will have dinner at hotel instead of drive to dine out. Overall I give rating of this hotel is GOOD recommend to stay with family and relax.

Friendly,clean,green scenery”

First of all I would like to say disappointed for the booking as i requested for a king size bed with AGODA by I did put a words at the bottom end during my processing in the empty blank box for my requested ....but reception deny my requested they said " we didn't see any requested" but anyhow hotel seem fully booking the reception said" they will do the best they can for me 10 minute later he came up a good news said: i got 3 rooms for all king size we so excited and want to get into our room ,Once we open the door another disappointed happen by they gave us the wrong room just all twin bed ,finally they kindly give us the upgrade to Deluxe hillside view instead ,our sad room become a big smile day LOL the staff all very nice ,friendly even the buggy boy who have to drive a buggy to pick up us anytime we want to go to the mail building otherwise we have to walk up and down the hill'. The hotel room very big and nice view big balcony'

Tucked away in tranquility”

This is probably the easiest place to get to from Bangkok if you want to experience a cool Thai "winter" without going right up into the north. The views during the day are breathtaking, and equally so at night when you can see every star in the sky due to the absence of any light pollution. The chalet rooms are of a very interesting design, because the whole resort is built on a hill. Therefore, they are built over 3 levels. The first level is the entryway and bathroom, the second level down is the bedroom and then the 3rd level down is a seating area with a sofa and TV. There is then a 4th level for the balcony right at the bottom. Nothing obstructs the view, because the other chalets are build in the same way... it's like a giant amphitheater! My only real complaint would be the American breakfast, which was really very basic and unappetizing. However, the dinner menu with exotic dishes such as Wild Boar Curry, Fried Deer with Holy Basil Leaves and Garlic-fried Ostrich made up for that. Another slight inconvenience is that it's quite a large property and not very easy to get from one place to another. However, the staff do operate a truck service which edges up the steep-and-winding roads to move luggage or people, and they were very quick to respond when we called them each time.

Loved the efficient buggy service”

Room was very spacious and tidy. Daily housekeeping kept the room neat. Hill view from the room was nice. If you are up early, you get to see the cloud fog outside the area. However, network was little to none in the room. Toilet and sofa seats were a little old. Not a lot of mosquitoes but lizards come out at night. Nevertheless, good value to the price paid. Would recommend this hotel for a relaxing staycation. :)

Restful, quiet relaxation location”

Stay for us was ideal, large bedroom , fast internet free access , relaxing, scenic views of mountains and valleys , in the early morning there is a fog in the valleys stunning as the sun rises, well worth getting up that bit early to see. The area Khao Kho is very scenic with hundreds of resorts to suit all types of travelers. Be warned that scenic as it is there is something to remember that all menus are in Thai only. Don't let this spoil your visit food . The friendly locals will try their best to help, this area is under developed for non for international tourism.

Nice hotel, but in need of maintenance”

This could have been a very nice resort for those wishing to stay in Khao Kho. Though a bit dated in design, it could still have been a lot better if the hotel paid some attention in making some updates and maintenance. Majestic views from the top nevertheless!

Room large and comfortable, nice hilly view”

The location of the hotel is not easy to get to. 3-4 hours from most nearby cities like Khon Kaen from east or Pitsanulok from west. There is now lots of construction in the mountain roads, so not an easy drive. The hotel is in a very nice location with great mountain and hill views, rooms are big with great view. The staff was friendly and breakfast set was also very good with good view from restaurant. There is also a big pool and sauna. It is a good hotel for the price, but you need your own transport to get around. A little downside is that wifi is quite slow, and there are not too many eating options nearby the hotel. But overall a well run hotel and we had a good stay.

Beautiful location and large rooms”

Large clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Food is quite edible but not fantastic. There is no mini bar or kettle, etc but kettle was provided upon request. The rooms are a long distance from the reception area / restaurant and pool so you need your own car to get around the huge area of the hotel. The adventure park is good but expensive you have to pay for every activity every time rather than just paying a one off all inclusive entry fee. Overall if you're heading to Khao Kho I'd recommend it but better off with your own car.

Beautiful Old Resort But not good for old people.”

Villas are on hill slopes and to reach there you have to climb flights of steps or you have to call the buggy. Rooms are split levels , many steps to climb, bathtubs are old style and round in shape. Have to climb in and climb out. Need lots of effort, not good for old folks. Floor at the bath rooms are quite slippery too. However, there is a rocking chair where you can rock away the time. And there is a long sofa where friends can sit together and chat. Not near to any eateries and to have your meals, you have to climb the steps and walk quite a distance to the restaurant at the reception building. I should say that this resort is good for the young but not good for the old. We had a very unpleasant experience here. Our booking was confirmed for two days but on arrival, the receptionist said that they confirmed only one day and referred us to stay at a hotel nearby because the rooms were fully booked. When we checked in the 2nd day, they charged us at a much higher price .

Large room with extraordinary view”

Outstanding points: - large room with all facilities. - situated on the hill which spotted a nice view. - Must try “Pa Tong Ko” with pandan custard that’s served in breakfast. It was really tasty and different from anywhere els I have ever tasted. Disadvantage points: - From the car park to the building you have to travel by their sevice golf car and take all stuff up to the second floor by stairs so it’s wasn’t convenient for me who has a small kid and a lot of stuff. - You need an extra plugs and universal adapter to connect laptop and electronic devices.
