Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin (SHA Extra Plus)
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"Sofitel was carefully selected by me, a kind of perfectionist, for my first holiday in Hua Hin with my family (wife and young baby). I have no more words to praise its charming colonial architecture and lush gardens and would like to comment on location, beach, hotel and room facilities. Sofitel is right at the heart of Hua Hin downtown and it can be proved by the presence of McDonalds and Burger King (the only shop in Hua Hin, I think). Hua Hin Railway Station (a famous scene in Hua Hin) and Village Market (the biggest shopping mall) also is just around, as well as the great Mamma Mia Pizza restaurant. Hua Hin beach, the one just in front of Sofitel, is not a good place for swimming(lots of rocks) but it has widest beach ,whitest sand and best view comparing to Cha-Am and Khao Takiap. The sun chair of Sofitel is served not just on beach but inside hotel territory. Your privacy therefore can be protected with exact same sea view. There are three pools in Sofitel, one is particularly for adult (2.6 meters deep) and one is quite kid-friendly. My wife and my baby really like the bed (bedding) in room, Sofitel calls it “MyBed”. It is soft and cozy. The negative things to me are overpriced breakfast and hard/dated towels in bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. "

Laksasubha Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"was with my godmum on vacation. excellent service from the staff on enquiries for airport transfer, smooth check-in, great chalet style spacious rooms, very clean, good amenities in room (tv, dvd player, radio, mini bar, hairdryer, free wifi - all trivial but very important!). nice breakfast buffet in my opinion, not too extravagant, excellent breakfast venue with scenic beach. staff are friendly, attentive. very easy to get to the night market. across the street about 5mins walk, lots of massage parlours offering foot reflex and thai massage in clean environment, lots of food outlets from mexican, thai, indian, italian, japanese, korean. spoilt for choices. there's convenience shop too nearby. tuktuk easily available to get you to other places like market village (only decent aircon mall in my opinion). night market was fun. plenty to eat and see and buy. taxi/private cars services available easily too. these also offer day tours. ask around for prices to get the best deal. best to get a good english-speaking driver or else it's just a basic driver's services, and you're left on your own to figure out what you wanna do. there are tour shops across the street too which may be a better option. cha-am itself is about 20-30mins drive away. definitely would choose to stay at baan laksasubha again when i return to hua hin in future. value for money. glad i chose this for my first hua hin visit."

Veranda Resort & Villas Hua Hin Cha Am (SHA Extra Plus)
Cha Am Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"Veranda Resort and Spa is one of the more attractive resorts on the beach between Cha-am and Hua Hin, well away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of restaurants, shops and the night market when trips away from the resort are required - by means of a free shuttle bus. There is a range of accommodation, all well-appointed, clean and attractive. We were in the building at the back of the resort, away from the beach, but had a large veranda with jacuzzi and view of the sea - privacy and comfort on hand. Huge beds, flat screen tv with good range of cable programmes, well-stocked bar and bathroom all made for a very luxurious stay, though the fridge wasn't working properly and the fan (preferred to air con at night) was rather noisy. Buffet breakfast is lovely and staff were quick to notice that we prefer espresso machine coffee to jugs. By the end of our stay the machines were swapped round. There is a lovely pool with plenty of areas for different styles of user, good range of shade and sun and copious towels. Both restaurants serve excellent food, both western and thai and service is of exceptional standard. There are plenty of activities for those who would like to try Thai crafts, exercise, trips out, an extremely long and safe beach and very friendly locals. Most people cope with English."

Kiang Haad Beach Hua Hin Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Hua Hin City Center,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly. The location is very strategic. It is walking distance to Hua Hin Village Mall, bus station and 2-3- minute walk to the beach. 100 meters to 7/11 store. The breakfast was quite ok. The room was clean but a little bit small for 3 of us. You could also hear the noise of people outside. The hotel offers car rental and that’s great if ever you want to go the other spots in Hua Hin. The WiFi was not that strong on the 5th floor where we stayed. I turned it off and used my 4G. Moreover, I will recommend this hotel to my friends and maybe plan to stay here again soon. "

Anantara Hua Hin Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"I booked a flight to Thailand as a birthday present for myself. A Thai friend had a female friend that likes to travel, and I made arrangements with her to spend a week, most of which was in Hua Hin. My friend suggested three hotels in Hua Hin (smart on his part as I can not blame him if the hotel is not as good as I think it should be) and I selected the Anantara. I am very happy that I did. The staff greeting with moist towel fresheners and snakes was a perfect way to start the week. We had an ocean front room (#106) and the view and yet privacy was amazing. The room was nicely sized and the shower/tub perfect. Flower petals adorned the king sized bed with "Happy Birthday" and this was a great mood setting nice touch. I had not told them that this trip was a birthday present and I did not inquire who or what had informed them. We tried to eat in all of the restaurants. Two were our favorites. One was on the main level where the entertainment is featured and the other was the waterfront tables. We recommend the "Aussie Steak". It was tender and tasteful and just what I expect from a steak house back home in California, USA. There is not much to do in Hua Hin and our week long visit was a little long for us. But, for a spot to just relax, this is top notch. "

City Beach Resort (SHA Extra Plus)
Hua Hin City Center,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"Though we live in Hua Hin we stay here regularly if we're attending an event, this time it was the local Jazz Festival on the beach. The hotel is large, as are the rooms, and whilst it's comfortable the rooms are very tired, with wallpaper peeling off the walls. As we booked at the last moment we booked via Agoda and paid on arrival, I was a little concerned that after my card had been processed and payment authorised, the lady on reception copied my card details onto a peice of paper, I thought the numbers were blocked out for a reason, the security of the account, she was interested in my concerns. Check-out, as always is painfully slow whilst you have to wait whilst they get someone to check your room. The hotel is ok for the odd night, but probably not for an extended stay, though we would certainly stay there again."

Cape Nidhra Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Hua Hin Beachfront,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"This is one of the best hotels in Hua Hin that we recommend. The room is very nice and clean, with extra large bathroom. Staffs are so friendly. Buffet line for breakfast is second to none. Situated in the perfect location, right in the center of Hua Hin town. But only one disappointment, the private pool is too small compared to other pools of other hotels in the same range. However, we will definitely come back again for our next trip to Hua Hin. "

VISA Hotel Hua Hin (SHA Extra Plus)
Hua Hin City Center,Hua Hin / Cha-am - View on map
"really nice hotel, friendly staff. the room was clean and spacious. there is a small but well-maintained swimming pool, with a few sun loungers along the side, which is nice to have a swim in after a day of exploring and sightseeing. The hotel is set back from the main road next to the San Paolo Hospital, which is near to a weekend night market,.and was there wasn't any noise from the road at nighttime. Although away from the beach and the center of Hua Hin it is easy enough to get around once you have negotiated the busy main road or hired a 'tuk-tuk' to take you wherever you'd like to go. I have been coming to Hua Hin for many years and now that I have stayed at VISA Hotel I will certainly consider staying here again when I am in this part of Thailand again."
