Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 (SHA Plus+)
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"For those who have rated this hotel/serviced apartment complex as anything other than wonderful you are either on drugs or in urgent need of seeing a doctor. I have stayed at the Grande Centre Point (GCP) on four occasions now – total of 32 nights – and I remain convinced it is not just one of the best located (direct access to BTS, main Sukhumvit Road etc) hotels in Bangkok but the best value. Yes, it is not everybody’s budget but for those happy at $100/120 per night (there are days, but not many, when these prices are significantly more expensive) don’t waste your time looking elsewhere. If having shopping on your door step is a plus, then you have the brand new Terminal 21 shopping centre. And you if you want cheaper shopping then the extensive range of street stalls on Sukhumvit Road are just outside. If gym work is a chore to you, the hotel has tried to make it much easier with an extensive array of equipment (not some puny little room stuck somewhere in a corner as with so many hotels in the City) – all with built in tv monitors. If you like a swimming pool and sun deck that is not just a paddle pool with some under-investment in sun loungers, then again GCP wins. And this is before you discover that there is a very generous area given to crazy golf and tennis. What other hotel in the City gives you these facilities ? Many of the great restaurants of Bangkok are on the Sukhumvit stretch, so you have all these within easy walking or taxi (or BTS) distance from you. Terminal 21 itself has many good quality eateries. For the ‘night lovers’ you have Soi Cowboy 100 meters away. Finally if there was a criticism I had in early stays at GCP it was the staff were under-trained but management have obviously put some time and investment into this critical service. So yes I can understand why some people will argue the case for other hotels in Bangkok (there are after all some magnificent ones in the City), they tend they tend to be in a significantly more expensive"

Sinsuvarn Airport Suite (SHA Plus+)
Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"the hotel is a 2-minute walk down a quiet side street. from one side of the hotel, you can actually see the airport control tower and planes parked on the tarmac, but you never hear noise; only a slight distant rumbling if you stay on the airport view side of the hotel, but nothing at all if you stay on the street side. good staff and excellent small restaurant that services only thai food but only has the menu in english. this food starts from 80 baht a plate and the most expensive dishes are ! very cheap and big portions, perfectly cooked. don't miss their red curry which is delicious and spicy. we have stayed here 4 times, usually 1 or 2 nights only, and will stay for 1 month (got a special price) later this year when my girlfriend has to go to bangkok to sit law exams. the most convenient airport hotel and probably the one with the best price-quality ratio."

Mandarin Hotel Managed by Centre Point (SHA Plus+)
Silom,Bangkok - View on map
"The Mandarin Hotel managed by Centre Point is worthy of its four star rating, unlike a lot of other hotels in SE Asia. The price was very affordable and much cheaper than other hotels in its class with comparable locations. Only one major problem with the hotel: on check-in day, the reception gave me keys to a room already booked and the other people's belongings were still there when I arrived. The limited English of the bellhop meant that I had to go all the way back to the front desk to get things (quickly) fixed. Lastly, and this is probably true for all hotels in Bangkok, DO NOT use the taxi/tok-tok service that hangs out right outside the hotel. Their prices are extortion rates, and they will stop en route to demand more money, citing traffic or making up any excuse about "protests causing problems." Instead, walk down the street towards MRT Sam Yan station or the other direction and insist on a metered taxi. It will always be less than half of the rate the tout-taxis will give you."

Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel (SHA Extra plus)
Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"Once again I stayed at the Novotel Bangkok hotel while awaiting a next day flight north to Isaan. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they have been during all my other stays. The food was just as good as I had enjoyed during previous stays. I especially like the ease of going to and from the airport utilizing the hotel's shuttle. I had not stayed at the hotel in approximately 18 months and on this stay I noticed that my room was starting to show its age somewhat. The drain in the bathroom lavatory did not function properly i.e. pop up sufficiently to allow rapid draining of sink contents. The rug had a few stains and pulls in the fabric - it will need replacement soon. Whereas I always gave this hotel 5 stars before across the board, I gave 4 stars for a couple of the categories. However for this trip the price of the room was less than I typically pay perhaps a reflection of the reduced condition of the room. I would still recommend a stay here."

Lohas Residences Sukhumvit (SHA Plus+)
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"the hotel is about a short drive from the main road. but fret not, the hotel provides a 24/7 buggy service which is just a phonecall away. the buggy pick-up point is also a very short walk away from ploen chit bts. the rooms are very spacious - with a dining area, kitchenette (if you want to do some light cooking or heat up food), full set of cutlery, bathtub and a very comfy bed, among other things. a bonus point if you're a muslim is that the hotel's cafe serves halal food. i understand a previous visitor to this hotel was displeased at the lack of pork bacon at breakfast. my reply to her is this - when in thailand, you can have pork at almost any street stall, food court or restaurant. unfortunately, muslims do not have that luxury. therefore, i am very proud of the amari residences sukhumvit for taking this step toward the provision of halal food in its premises. the hotel's cleaning staff are very observant and courteous - they don't disturb you when they know you are in the room (even when you don't put up the 'do not disturb' sign), and will only make-up your room when you leave it or put up the 'make-up room' sign. the hotel also has a spacious gym, sauna, jacuzzi and pool, which are open til 10pm daily. i would highly recommend this hotel to muslim (and non-muslim)travellers to bangkok - be it friends, families or couples."

Asia Hotel Bangkok (SHA Plus+)

"This hotel was recommended to me by an acquaintance. Even though there are Bangkok hotels which looked more impressive through my research, thought I'd just trust the first hand experience for myself and book Asia Hotel. I would say Asia Hotel is the finest hotel and value for money I have ever stayed. 5 star service. Staff are patient and willing to go the extra mile. They are very efficient in providing what they can to help you. You will not regret it! I am already wanting to visit Bangkok again and Asia Hotel you deserve my business!! Highly recommend. The breakfast buffet is very decent too, I love the fried rice!! Not to mention it is extremely convenient to the main shopping central of Bangkok. Good work and thank you Asia Hotel!"

Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"Pros: 1. Super fast check in and check out (done in less than 10 minutes) 2. Spacious room for 2 adults and a kid with a 2-seats comfy sofa, work desk and chair, enough pillows and large bed! 3. Right in the middle of hustling soi 11, but rooms are quiet. You only feel it once you get out on the streets. 4. Accommodated all special requests made while booking. 5. Housekeeping was on point! Even organized our clothes that were left all around dangling. 6. Didn’t dine in so can’t review about the food 7. Large window with a city view and sunlight (rare find in this area) 8. Enough lighting, large mirror in the room, comparatively small but functional bathroom, necessary amenities were presented and refilled 9. Pool is nice and big 10. Very Helpful staff, called rides for us everyday within 5 minutes, helped as requested for other services. Cons: 1. No iron and iron board in the room as default option 2. Plenty of TV channels but mostly news and sports channels, only two options for kids and a few movie and documentary/lifestyle channels. No music channel. My kid felt bored. 3. Location, service and amenities- no complaints rather outstanding. But price seems a little higher for rooms if compared to other similar hotels nearby. 4. Bed mattress was too soft. Won’t bother you unless you’ve back problems like neck pain, spondylitis or backpain or used to ergonomic sleeping materials or is prone to body aches due to sleeping posture. Overall we’re super happy with their hospitality. Our 4 nights stay was great. Hope to return to this one sometime soon as Bangkok is a frequent destination for me. "

Prince Palace Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Khaosan,Bangkok - View on map
"First of all, this hotel is very luxury at a budget price. Most budget hotels in Thailand have outdated furnishings and wall hangings, but every inch of this hotel is clean, well-maintained, very luxury looking. The staff is outstanding and there is a doorman or other staff about every 20 meters of the hotel. Check-in and check-out was fast, and we even got fast service when we needed an extra room card. I mention this because I read many horror story reviews on here before we booked the place. I only saw crowds in the reception area when a bus came in (which there were many - its one of the biggest hotels in Bangkok). The breakfast was outstanding. You can eat in the cafe, which has outdoor dining, or the upstairs restaurant. Both have the same food, so it depends if want a city view with your breakfast, or some fresh morning air. The Thai restaurant at the top of the hotel wasn't very impressive. The food was bland and overpriced. We live in Northeast Thailand, so maybe we are spoiled. The best part of the hotel was the room. We stayed in a 3-bedroom suite, which was a mini-apartment. It actually looks like the hotel bought a condo building next door and turned the condos into rooms. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and new, and there was lots of space. We actually only needed 2-bedrooms, but the upgrade price was so cheap we went with 3-bedrooms. The suites have their own lobby, elevators, and secured parking. If you want to go shopping, which was the primary reason we stayed at this hotel (the kids needed clothes for school), there is a 6-floor fashion mall below the hotel. Its the place to get good, low priced clothes (6th floor has a food court). If you want to save even more money, get up at 3am and walk outside. From 3-6am, the streets around the hotel hold the largest clothes wholesale market in SE Asia. Hundreds of sellers line the streets selling every kind of clothes you can think of. We saved 70% on school clothes this year."
