Where to stay in Kamala
Kamala hotels & accommodations
This resort is perfect for couples and just to relax in phuket. I was traveling with my friends (Group of 3) which we stayed in the villa together. Sad to say, the resort is not really for those travelers whose aim is to roam around easily as the location is quite isolated. This resort makes me feel very safe as there is guards around the resort and they are very frien...
hotel has been taken over by swissotel on 1 april - so after our original booking. we were upgraded from a 2 bed appartment to a 3 bed appartment which was enormous. also had a huge wrap around balcony as it was on the top (3rd) floor of the hotel. kitchen is basically a fridge sink and microwave so no cooker. but it's so cheap to eat oiut we didn't or wasnt going to...
When we booked cape sienna, we were very excited to see it. We landed in phuket international airport and then had to take a taxi from the airport which costed us 600 bahts. On reaching the hotel, we were taken to the first floor for the reception. As soon as the lift doors opened we were presented with a spectacular view of the ocean & Kamala beach. The staff was very...
We booked a beach cottage. Starting with the cons, The check in process was a bit slow and we were asked to keep a deposit of 3000 Thai bhats this was not mentioned beforehand. We booked a beach cottage and got a complimentary “upgrade”. Our cottage was the furthest and the WiFi barely worked. The WiFi we were asked to connect was barely working due to poor signal and ...
Very accomodating hotel staff, had a very smooth check-in and check out. The only thing is that there was a musty/mildew smell in the room during our stay but maybe this was due to the AC that leaked on our first day. Maintenance guy was very quick to fix this though and also the Housekeeper who replaced our beddings. The hotel is very huge with child friendly pools, m...
Perched high on the cliffside, amid tropical forests, over azure blue waters and a picturesque panorama of Andaman Sea, an oasis of tranquility and luxury, Paresa resort is a perfect escape. We stayed in two Talay Suites with the balcony accesses the large infinity pool shared by the two suites. It is a perfect option for family or friends on holiday together with sha...
My husband and I stayed here for about 2 weeks in April 2017. We chose this hotel because of the pool villas. It was so nice to have your own private pool with a beautiful view to get away from the busy cities and beaches. Before arriving I was worried the villas would not look like the pictures but everything was absolutely perfect and impressive. Another concern I ha...
First night we had a room directly facing the construction. It was rather noisy in the morning. After we explained the situation next day, hotel staff had kindly moved us to a quieter room. Hotel is away from busy areas but has shuttle bus to Jungceylon shopping mall 3 times per day. Need to book in advance. It is 2 mins walk to Kamala beach. The sand on the beach is a...
We stayed 26 days in Thailand and stayed in 6 different 5 star hotels. This hotel, by far, was the best! Excellent facilities, amazing pool and relaxation area, room was out of this world and breakfast unbeatable. This is a six star hotel in our book! Originally, we were reluctant to book this hotel due to the fact that it has no beach safe for swimming on location. We...
A data is a wonderful place. The wonderful staff are helpful and gracious. The food at Silk restaurant is nearly the best we had is all the fine restaurants we tried in Bangkok and Phuket. The only disappointment is the beach. The Andara has a section of Kamala beach reserved but to get there you have to walk through the public beach which is not very nice. Howeve...
This hotel has the best location in Kamala. If you want a hotel on the beach and steps away from the pool, this is it. I researched a lot before going here and found it is pretty much the only hotel right on the beach. Hotel is clean and staff very friendly. This is easily a 4 star hotel and the price is more than reasonable. It is only 15 minutes to Patong for ...
The location is ideal. Kamala being relatively small, it isn’t far from anything at all. I enjoyed walking to and from here. Clean? CLEAN! Quiet. Soft spoken, and gracious staff members, bundled with a lovely hotel kept doggy pal! The room is big. Unnecessarily big i’d say. But that adds to the grandeur of your stay. With very warm yet minimalistic decor, it’s a pe...
There is no mistaking the look and feel of Keemala as a premium property for rest and relaxation, set in a verdant hilly backdrop of Phuket's Kamala beach. With 3 equally intriguing room types that are no doubt well appointed, providing an air of exclusivity and charm that make for wonderful memories. From the high tented ceiling, to the warm woody feel, akin to glampi...
Lee, one of their staffs, is very accommodating. We booked for a room with breakfast. Start of buffet breakfast is from 7am to 10am, we asked if it’s possible to have it served by 6am as we have scheduled activities (Phi Phi Island tour) by 7am, and they did. The following day, we need to be in the airport by 7am and they accommodated our request to again to have the...
This resort is perfect for Families and Couples who want to spend quality time together away from their busy lives. This Resort ticks all the right boxes; Friendly Staff who understands English, Great Location, Room has Amazing View, One of the Best rooms I have ever stayed during my travels so far (we stayed in Grand Deluxe Ocean View room), Good Food, Good room serv...
Pros- very nice accomodations and excellent staff. Also a very complete gym Cons- you need transportation to go eat. it is 300 baht to go to Kamala beach where all the restaurants are located.
The hotel is build on the hills on the side of the bay of Kamala beach. The various buildings are located at different levels on the hill. For travelling up and down the facilities staff is always available to drive you using one of their golf carts. The staff of the hotel was always very friendly, e.g. at the reception, swimming pool, restaurant, concierge. We stay...
Very central to all amenities of Kamala beach, great restaurant onsite as well as an awesome bar that plays great music. Rooms are comfortable & have great balconies to look out over the ocean. Staff were wonderful & friendly. The only con I can think of would be is no parking lot if you drive here ( but am sure something could be arranged). I rate this place very high...
Choose this hotel by chance. It is very convenient for you to make a left turn of 200 meters to reach the beach of kamala. The room is very large, with an independent swimming pool and complete supporting facilities. The most surprising thing is the Xbox. The main thing is that the employees are very enthusiastic and actively help to solve various problems.
This was our first stay at Kamala, and we definitely chose well with Kamala Beach Estate. The Estate is half-owned/rented by ex-pats so it doesn't have the hotel feel which is nice. The rooms are all slightly different, and the one we rented was amazing. A one bedroom self-catered room with a large kitchen, lounge and balcony. The grounds are beautiful too, and there a...
We could not be happier with our choice of Layalina Hotel in Kamala. It is a smaller, quiet boutique hotel which provides an outstanding value. Our rate included a substantial breakfast. The second floor room was nicely sized with a large jetted tub and two decks that afforded gorgeous ocean views. The location allowed for easy access to the sandy beach, shopping a...
We stayed there for 5 nights. Kamala is a great place that is not to touristy and quite quiet. There are some good restaurants and a very good beach. The hotel is cheap and convenient, especially for those who like to spend their days out and about, at the beach and doing things. We hired a scooter one day and went to the jungle zip lines and to a waterfall, which was ...
Stayed between 13-17 April at the apartment Taoshan, which shared with Kamala Tropical Garden, was awesome. Big rooms and awesome living hall. Cleanliness was top notch! Its cheap for a night stay(below sgd70) which it can accommodate 5-6 adults. And location was awesome. Many eateries around there even for halal(muslim) families to find food is not a problem. 5mins wa...
i have stayed in kamala many times and never knew about this hotel, it is tucked away off the main road through kamala, i think its a pretty new hotel, everything is clean and well looked after, mini bar prices are very cheap, wifi speed is quite reasonable, pool area very clean and relaxing surroundings, a bit away from the beach but can be reached on foot within ten ...
Enjoyed our stay at the Sungthong. We were three generations, with a young grandsons that turned 1 while we were here! Before booking we were concerned about distance from the beach. We need not have been, as it is a short walk, either on the road in front, or through the shortcut behind BigC. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms were always clean, and towels we...
this has to be the best deal in kamala. family operated, very friendly staff.the room was huge and very clean. the kitchen was perfect. the balcony was large with a good view. it is located right on the beach road in kamala. 24hour 7/11 next door. money exchange right there. great restaurants and coffee shop literally steps away. it is a 30 second walk to the beach. th...
We stayed At Kamala hotel for a week. It's close to the beach, maybe 1-2min by foot, located on a quieter street in Kamala Beach area. Our room was brand new with a balcony. We really liked the location, everything is in walking distance and scooters are available on every corner as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi is fast and works well. I can def recomm...
spent a total of 8 nights here. If you plan on staying in Kamala, and all you need it sooner clean place to sleep, shower and change cloths, this is the place. The young lady that works the front desk is very helpful, if you need local information, and always has a smile on her face. My hot water wasn't working and she was right on it. I needed a laundry, she poi...
We spent 6 nights in a Superior class room (actually an apartment) consisting of living room, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony, located on the upper one of the two floors of A-tower. The apartment has a good view over the Kamala beach valley and the sunlight illumination of the interior is excellent. The appliances are up-to-date and working well, as the whole hote...
I had booked 4 nights in Swissotel, a 5 star hotel at the other end of Kamala but checked out as didn't like the staffs attitude, found this little 3 star Benjamin Hotel and I would give it 10 stars compared to Swissotel,,,,, Facilities are just a clean comfortable bed, on the most beautiful beach, no pool but beach is better then a pool. many restaurants within minute...
Cheap places to stay in Kamala
Needed a short stay for my friend's wedding in Kamala but didn't have much to spend on...decided to try this after reading the reviews and did not disappoint! I would like to commend on the staff members who were quick and very helpful in replying my emails so I know how to get there safely from the airport...also to the staff Khun San for the proper introduction of t...

As soon as we arrived we were greeted to a drink. The hotel was clean and spacious and with HOT water. It was 1 of the best hotels of our trip. I would stay here again. The family are so lovely which makes it more homely. They had arranged for a cab to take us to our next hotel which saved us trying to sort it ourselves. I would expect this hotel to be more than 2 stars...
Clean and warm place. The owner and very kind and helpful. There are restaurants not far from the hotel. A pleasant stay in Kamala
I advise everyone who is looking for a great budget accommodation to book this hotel. It is owned by a small family, who are very friendly and helpful. It was our first trip to Phuket and I choose this hotel cause it was 1 km away from the Fantasea entertainment park. Kamala beach is a very poor area but this hotel stood out like a diamond amongst pebbles. Beautiful,ne...
This place was delightful. The reviews do not illustrate the cleanliness of this location. The host are even more delightful. We ran into some issues at the airport, which delayed are arrival. We arrived to hotel close to midnight feeling tired and the host waited for us, walked us to our room and said goodnight- she made it the most easiest check in ever. Thank you
We stayed in one of the rooms at the front of the property facing the main road. Whilst the room was delightful, this meant that there was quite a bit of both noise and light pollution throughout the night. Not so great value either considering breakfast is not included, but I think that’s quite common in Kamala.
Kamala Beachfront apartments are exactly as the description on their website. I loved it, but I wasn't expecting anything other than the location and the pool, which is so nice being in the pool and hearing the waves from the sea. If you are wanting all the bells and whistles that resorts offer then I suggest thinking twice about staying here because that's not what yo...
OK, bathroom could be better maintained, the room clean in general but have a hospital look. Fine four couples days.
Good points: The staff were very nice people who would go out of their way to help. The room was big, clean and modern. The WIFI was great. Its in a great location. Bad points: The staff play music extremely loud at any point of the day and once until 12.30am. I had to ask them to turn it down 3 times and it was only turned down a little. The staff drink a lot in...

Kamala Regent was my last hotel for my trip. perpect place for swimming and relex. price is good if you find on agaoda. walk to kamala beach takes about 10min.
The hotel is in an excellent location just off the main road through Kamala. Short walk to many bars and restaurants. The beach is no more than 10 minutes walk away. The room was comfortable and very spacious. Owner was really helpful if you have any questions. I would stay again mainly for the good price and great location.
It was vety nice staying at Sabina guesthouse. Kamala is quiet beach and not for shopping. If like enjoying the beach and food Kamala is for you. Its easy to get away with scooter, Patong or Surin not very far. In Sabina guesthouse is the best staff I have ever met in my stays in Thailand. So kind and very good English speaking and helpful. Really worth for money.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have been flexible to allow us to arrive very late but also to leave very early to the airport. They give good advice to visit around and help to get car rental, taxis or other services. The room is new and clean, well equipped for those who don't want to eat out everyday. Kanaka has few supermarkets very close to the hotel....

We liked Kamala beach a lot. It's much more relaxed than Patong and equally beautiful. It's a 8-10min walk to the beach - not your hotel if you're looking for beach front. Staff was very friendly and helped us out a lot. Internet was very good, room modern and comfortable. Unfortunately, no view as the next building was only about one meter away which however was not ...
Absolutely amazing little hotel with the friendliest staff always willing to offer advice, they helped book our ferry to Krabi. Spotlessly clean rooms which are very spacious with great facilities and an extremely comfy bed plus a nice little balcony to sit and enjoy a nice refreshing drink We booked this hotel at the last minute due to major problems with our initial ...
We stayed for 5 nights & would have happily stayed longer! This is a small hotel with a couple of nearby bars & about 5min walk to the beach & main shopping/bar street 7/11s & Big C in kamala, which is a lovely small town 15 min drive to Patong. Ours was room 5 which had a small balcony and very quiet & efficient air con & safe. The staff are very friendly, they are ha...

Chabana Kamala Hotel is where i stayed for 4 nights on my visit to meet some friends and i have to say it is a winner for me, The Hotel staff are very friendly and the Rooms are a very good size, Shower has plenty of piping hot water with excellent pressure and if you want a cold shower the water is cold not just luke warm, Now for the bed which was obviously King Size...
I really wanted to say i love this place, everything looked clean and nice upon entering the room, but i found stains on the bedsheet and ants were a problem. You have to make sure you rinse all the food containers after eating if not they would be infested. The ants also got to the bed as well so i couldnt sleep well. No restaurant on site so cant comment about the fo...
The staff were great, and the location was perfect right on Kamala Beach, transport, shops, massages, money exchange, tour agent, and 7/11. Teh rooms were large and roomy with bar fridge and coffee making. The owners were very friendly and they also ran the restraunts - the food was the best we had in Phuket. Other stall holders on Kamala Beach were also very friendly ...
When I come back to Kamala Beach than I really know where I want to stay: Beau and Blonde House!
We really loved the BS Kamala hotel, the hotel is fairly new, built after the tsunami in 2006, so modern plumbing and granite bathroom, nice sitting area in room, outside sink on the balcony. Right across the street from the beach and restaurants nearby. I would recommend staying in the rooms out front because in the back is the bar and the music can be loud, great b...
Pros- very nice accomodations and excellent staff. Also a very complete gym Cons- you need transportation to go eat. it is 300 baht to go to Kamala beach where all the restaurants are located.
Just entering the place me and my friend got the creeps. For the money we had paid on our booking we were expecting something way better. The place is dirty, old and not the kind of hotel wants to book if you are looking around. Much better options nearby. The room was far from any reasonable expectation, with stained bed sheets and whatnot. WIFI was also really bad....

Our stay in Kamala was great with no regrets. We really had a very pleasant stay there. The hotel staffs are really helpful and they make us very happy staying there. Overall, the house and our rental experience were enjoyable! The house especially is very modern, beautiful, natural and comfortable. If you're looking for those four things, then this house is a great fit for you! The house is a located a bit out of the way, so if you're looking to travel around, you'll want to rent a car or motorbike. However, if you're planning on ...
Firstly, anybody that has problem with this place is most likely to complain about everything they do in general. People complaining about a hill???!!!! You don’t get views without having to go up. This place is amazing and I’m in awe of the negative reviews. The bang for buck here is ridiculous....I’ve paid upwards of $5k a night for these kinds of views and rooms. ...
Suitable for large group or family. Very recomended.
This is a very nicely decorated hotel in Kamala. I booked a superior room with no balcony but they upgraded to another superior room with balcony. The view was dissapointing though. Wifi connection was strong. Room was clean. Bout 10 minites walk would get u to the beach and the sunset is beautiful. Food at the hotel is very expensive. They are several restaurants arou...
We had such a memorable stay here. Apart from the beautiful venue & good sized well equipped rooms/suites with Thai deco which overlook two lovely swimming pools in a beautiful tropical garden with lovely butterflies, the location was so convenient & walking distance to beautiful Kamala Beach, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, massage places & wonderful fresh market...
We were supposed to be on Koh Samui from the 9th, however due to flooding we diverted to Phuket. Stayed 2 nights in Patong, then high-tailed it out of there to Kamala after finding Print Kamala on agoda.com. IT was the best decision ever. From th moment we arrived, we were treated wonderfully- our room was spacious, decorated beautifully, massive comfy bed with concert...
Villa is big and it has 7 bedroom with bathroom attached. Swimming pool at ground floor and dining room at first floor. Large area and suitable for group of friends. Razzp, staff of villa arranged transportation to/from airport with reasonable price. Nice place to stay.
Extremely lousy attitudes, never honor policy from Agoda. Worst stay ever! Recommend you to pay a little more to stay other hotel. Do not let the price and location to deceive you. Total ruined my holiday mood. Do not change our bed sheets and towels daily! Don’t even try your luck to book this ridiculous hotel, you will be sorry and regret!
first time looking at website photos, I thought the pictures are stretched. But they are actual size photos. Each room has its bathroom and the whole villa was REALLY BIG!! You can have a party of 10 people living in, tho there are only 3 bedrooms. I'l definitely come back. Best to rent a car. Just 5mins to Kamala Beach, 20 mins to Patong, about 45mins to Airport. I hi...
I can't believe how lucky we were to have found this place for our stay in Phuket!! I was skeptical at first because the rate seemed to be good to be true and I couldn't find any recent reviews, but the room was amazing!! Turns out the place has just been completely renovated and is under a new management --apparently, it had been running for less than a month when we ...
guys the villa is amazing, in a great and quite compound, super clean with 5 stars facilities, big pool, kitchen equipments and extra towels, new white bed sheets, two tvs and efficient air condition, go there you will not be disappointed!
This place is perfect if you want to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of Patong. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. (Best bed we’ve ever slept in when traveling through Asia.) The staff is polite and very helpful. They will help you book a tour if you want to explore. There is also a shuttle into Kamala Beach that goes several times daily. But during both our ...

Cons: - the main cons for me was the dirty private pool in our talay suite: pieces of litter and mud lied on the bottom and the walls were moulded and had chlorine stains - that's disgusting. Floor in the hall, leading to our room was covered with lots of stains too. - some people already told that, I will just repeat - when you are in the toilet, be sure you will be...
