Perfect Choice”
After much research on where to stay in Phuket we decided on the Kata Country House Hotel and were not disappointed. Furthermore on looking at the other more expensive hotels we still felt that ours was by far the best. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice sized shower room. We had a little area outside with tables and chairs and could really enjoy the feeling of the jungle. It was great being able to watch the birds and listen to the wild life. The staff were very helpful and supplied us with beach towels daily. They had a washing machine so we could also do our own laundry. The restaurant was good but the location of the Kata Country House was excellent as within a few minutes walk you had some very good and cheap restuarants to hand. I would not hesitate to book this place again. We loved it.

Lovely hotel, beautiful plants and surroundings”
Had a lovely stay at Kata Country House Hotel, we were welcomed with smiles and were even able to check into our rooms early, rooms were clean and roomy with a lovely Thai feel. The pool were surrounded by large trees and plants which made it a lovely setting to relax in, the bar and cafe by the pool were also very convenient. The resturant had lovely food I only had Thai food so not sure what the european food was like, it was very well priced as well, Breakfasts were good but my only negative comments are that after 8 days it got a bit boring due to being the same every day so my only recommendation is for them to change the Breakfast menu every few day. Over all lovely stay at a clean happy friendly hotel.

Brillant hotel and very nice staff!”
We really would like to recomend this lovely hotel to everyone who is going to Kata. We travelled with a 4 year old and a 18 year old, and it was perfect for all of us. The poolarea was great. Food was good, rooms were clean and it was a friendly environment. Best of all was the very helpful and friendly staff. i loved staying at the country house as it was affordable, and was great value for money! i really appriciate that i asked for a late checkout by one hour and was granted this at no extra cost. staff were always helpful and made me feel good when talking with them. they even have us fee internet access (in the lobby area) on the second occasion when staying worth them. really will return to kata country house on my next visit to thailan.

Truly Value for Money”
I stayed at Kata Country House for only one night enroute to Patong Beach the next day. This was a very decent hotel given the very affordable hotel price. They offer a very simple but tasty breakfast meal with coffee refills. They used to have a buffet breakfast in the past but have switched to an a la carte style of breakfast with a fixed meal. The room was very comfortable and the toilets were clean. However the water was slightly lukewarm and the water heater was too high to adjust. Wifi was only available at the reception lobby area but that was acceptable, I felt. They also have a very nice pool. Other than that, this was a very decent hotel and within walking distance of shops and food establishments. I have stayed here before and I woudl gladly recommend anyone coming here to stay.

Bang for your buck”
I read some not so good reviews about this place and I don't know what they're talking about. The room had a huge/clean/comfortable bed with strong ac, there were two beautiful pools and one had a swim up bar, the location was perfectly between the beach access point and the night market, everything convenient was steps away, the hotel had it's own restaurant which was delicious (I ate and drank there every day), I rented a scooter from the lobby at a reasonable price, and the staff was friendly and helped me book a great tour at a cheap price. Also if you can't decide on which beach to stay at Kata is awesome if you want somewhere quiet, beautiful, and convenient. Patong was just way too hectic and stressful for me.

Lovely hotel with good service and great location”
This hotel had amazing service, and helpful staff with reasonable prices. The hotel comprises of bungalows and rooms. Ours was a ground-floor superior room, right in front of the pool (10 steps away!!!). There has two pools and plenty of sunbeds. Perfect if You need to take a day-off! The smaller pool had a higher degree of chlorinated water. This was probably because of all of the children choose this pool. Every morning my room was cleaned, fresh towels, 2 bottles of water and new toiletries were provided daily. The room had beautiful views, lots of trees, and a clean pool. It was calm and quiet, value for money, short walk from the beach, and a central location. There is also a lovely open air gourmet restaurant which had divine Thai food for reasonable prices. The rooms all come with a terrace space equipped with table and chairs to chill out on or chat to your neighbours, as well as a clothes/towel dryer (very important but often overlooked!). A nice additional touch was the umbrella they provide outside each room and the beach towels they lend. Reception will do anything within reason. Only WiFi is in the lobby and it's pretty fast. You can buy a Happy Sim card from 7/11, activate this in a normal phone and then you have fast 3G on the go for your IPhone or IPad. Definitely worth it for a more chilled out experience rather than staying in a run of mill type, soulless hotel. My friends and I will stay again when we are in Phuket!

A nice and different hotel”
Kata Country House is a hidden Gem. It cannot be noticed when u cross the road. Its a perfect hotel for all kinds of travellers and its quite and clean. Currently renovation is underway so was a bit noisy in the day time. Its worth the money one pays. The aircon is not so good if not bad. The hotel is sorrounded with plenty of flora. Expect no telephones in ur room or any hi-fi gadgets. The breakfast is not bad but they could offer more spread and dont be late for the breakfast else u should b satisfied with what is left.

Nice and quiet in the middle of Kata”
the hotel is like an oasis in the noisy and busy kata. the garden is quiet and beautiful. there are almost no hotels in kata situated at the beach, so this is as close you come. take 10 minutes to walk. the staff was very friendly and when we complained about the aircon that didn´t work in one of the rooms they immediately sent staff to repair and exchange it. unfortunately it didn´t work anyway so we had to change room. we tried three sorts of rooms -- bungalow, bungalow with poolview and rooms de luxe. we preferred the cheaper rooms de luxe, very good value.the breakfast buffet was included and was good.

Good value”
When we transferred from Patong to this hotel, the chartered taxi costed us 650 THB, what a expensive price! But after living in a bungalow, we feel really exited because the room was wooden which feels exotic. The wooden house smells a little but we believes that is the smell of wood. Very near to the Kata noi beach and Kata beach, just 5 min to Kata noi and more about 10 min to Kata beach. There is a swimming and sun bathing mat in the room which is thoughtful. Air-conditioner works well we sleeper cool everyday. The apartment rooms look not that exotic as bunglow but I guess still comfortable and bigger. The yard is like a small beautiful tropical forest, the swimming pool is not large. A fruit shop at the door of the hotel, honestly staff they did not sell not ready fruits to me. Bus go by the street every 30min to Karon beach and Phuket town. Generally very satisfactory to me, good value for money, I would like to stay here during my next trip to Phuket.

Lovely oasis of tranquility”
The place is full of charm with well maintained grounds and gardens. The pool area is beautiful, well shaded if you need to keep out of the sun, plenty of loungers, so no fighting for a space. There is a lovely restaurant with a swim up bar. The room was a deluxe room, very big, spotlessly clean with TV and Fridge, good air con. It was a ground floor room in front of the pool, each room has a little verandah with table and chairs to sit on and sip a beer. They provide lovely little touches such as courtesy umbrella for each room, towel sculptures, free beach towels. The food at the hotel is actually the best I had on Phuket for the Thai choices. The breakfast was ok, I am not a breakfast fan so can't really comment, but its included in price. All in all I can't fault this place. A little pricey for my usual budget but I don't really think you can find cheap without being a dive in Phuket, so I think it is really worth it! If I came back to Phuket I would definitely stay here

Amazing staff, but experience ruined by roosters”
The staff at Kata Country House Hotel were amazing; they were friendly, helpful, and informative. The hotel has its own private beach, with decent snorkeling. You can walk along the beach to the town, or take one of the scheduled long boats for free. The food was decent for the price, and they have a free Thai food tasting every evening at 7pm, but if you are late to the tasting by 10-15 minutes, don't count on getting anything to try. The room was small, but comfortable aside from the mosquitoes. The only problem with this hotel--which if you enjoy sleeping, can be a big problem--is the roosters. They start cock-a-doodle-doodling at 4am in the morning, and continue throughout the rest of the day. At first we thought that our room, which was in the employee sleeping area, was the only one affected, so we asked to be moved. The staff was helpful and moved us to a room right next to the lobby area. The sound only got worse. There were more roosters around that area than our first room. When we asked the staff about the roosters, they said there was nothing they could do. It's a shame because I would have highly recommended this hotel if it wasn't for those birds.

All in all my stay at Kata Country was quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The resort is more suited to families and those seeking solace as opposed to those wanting a party-like atmosphere. The beach is a short 10-minute walk and there are shops and a bookstore located close by. It was an excellent way to end my month-long stay in Thailand.

Kata Country House LOVE!!”
My husband and I stayed in the bungalows and it made all the difference during our stay. I wasn't that crazy about Kata beach (north), but there is southern part to Kata beach that few know about and is within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel...it is fantastic. The bungalows were clean and the pool was beautiful. We were stayed during monsoon season, so it was like having the entire place to ourselves. The staff was very helpful and did a great job taking care of the guests when the property flooded. I would stay at this hotel again.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!”
This hotel is just absolutely amazing. We stayed in the standard room and it was wonderful. It was basic, but that's what we wanted. It feels as if the hotel is in the jungle, surrounded by trees, and you wake up to birds singing in the morning. The room was clean, great service, the restaurant is really nice and has INCREDIBLE fruit shakes, right next to convenience stores, very short walk to the most beautiful beach. It's also close by Kok Chang Safari for the best elephant trekking in Phuket and the hotel rents motorbikes so it is easy to get around. Staff is very nice and helpful. Swimming pool is so sweet and gorgeous. Will definitely be staying here again. I didn't want to leave!!!!

Kata Country House Hotel”
This hotel is extremely pleasant and well situated in relation to the Kata resort. It has very comfortable rooms..ours was close to the pool so not far for a dip. The facilities are good, the breakfast buffet of a high standard and the main restaurant had a good selection of Thai and western-style dishes. We found the beach not too far to walk to from the hotel either although best not to do it after midday when the heat was oppressive. In all a good choice following a friend's recommendation!

kata beach is walking distance, it is a beautiful beach, the surf is ok, nothing special. The hotel is good, big pool, large and clean rooms, very helpfull staff, they booked tours and taxis for us and let us leave our luggage at the hotel while we went to kho phi phi for a few days. overall, a good place to stay
