Stayed here for 8 days on a trip in June. As there is an upscale Kensington on Saipan, the island we live on, we decided to venture to the Kensington in Seoul. We were not disappointed. The is a first rate hotel. The rooms are twice the size of most Asian rooms and well appointed. It seems to be recently redone. It was my first stay in the Lexington Hotel, but it will definately not be my last. The prize for this luxury hotel was surprisingly low and especially in the summer the location is perfectly located in Yeouido. It is primarily a business hotel, so when I walk around most of the time I feel underdressed, but nobody comments on that. The rooms are traditional hotel rooms, with a mini-bar and one complimentary bottle of water each day. Also surrounding the hotel there are many chains like Starbucks, Kraze Burger, Dunkin Donuts etc. I will definately book this hotel for my next trip.

Comfortable and quiet...”

I was on a business trip and stayed in a room with a double and a twin beds. The bed was very comfortable! The New York New York restaurant served very good steak. Hundreds of K-dramas has also been filmed there. I super love the classy hotel lobby and the friendly, helpful, cheerful and accommodating staff especially at the Guest Services and Registration. The room just needs updating. There's a certain room smell which seems like goose feathers. Well, unless they use goose feathers then I guess it's Ok. Airconditioning was still a bit hot even on max. It's very near Yeouido Park, Hangang River Park, National Assembly, KBS, MBC etc... The airport bus 6030 is right across the entrance.

great location”

We had an enjoyable stay. Location was perfect at Hangang river side, wonderful view each morning from our window. Restaurants, cafes, convenience stores are plentiful within walking distance. A pleasant autumn afternoon walk at Yeouido Park was just 5-min walk away. The room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Very convinient location”

I was in Seoul for business only for one night, and had to stay in the financial district for my meetings. This hotel is very conveniently located in the financial district, most of the headquarters of financial houses is across the park. It has a nice bar and massage place in the basement. So, if you are in Seoul for business and have meetings with financial institutions, it is a good place to stay. It is across the street from the largest church in Korea.

Very good hotel”

This hotel was really super the best hotel that I stayed in in Korea .the staff were friendly and always willing to help . Next time I go to Seoul I will stay here again .the hotel is very close to the underground station(subway ) and there are lots of shops near by for anything you need e.g milk for a cup of tea

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

All in all the hotel was great, Seoul is such a big city, you need to scout what you are really looking for before you book. This hotel was a great place for a great deal.

A very good english speaking hotel ”

i really liked our stay in the hotel. it's very comfortable and good location. all the staff speak good english and are very helpful to tourists. it's very near a train station so it's not hard at all to go around seoul. free wifi in the lobby which compensates for the no internet in the room.

Olddy but goody”

It is a relatively old hotel, but they did good job on renovation. You would feel like you are visiting granny's living room. The location is pretty good. Less than 5 min. from the subway station, which is again in the central part of Seoul. Very convenient to go to most part of Seoul by subway. Many restaurants and coffee shops within 2 min. walk. Also there are two 24/7 convenient stores between the back entrance of the hotel and subway station. Nearby the hotel is a Yeoido Park, where you can take nice stroll. Good to have some green close to the hotel. One disappointing thing is that they don't provide wifi, which is pretty standard in many other hotels. Also, rules are too strict that they are willing to charge me 'early check-in fee' for just 2 hour advanced check-in.

Beautiful Hotel”

This hotel has some refurbished floors which have been decorated spectacularly and are the ones to book. The Other floors are dated but are a good size with excellent bathrooms depends on what you are prepare to pay.Like other hotels in Seoul, they have specials for holidays and if you are in for breakfast get in early as the locals devour everything to get their money's worth.The eating habits have to be seen to be believed.The breakfast period from 7. 00 -9.30 is not long enough if you are tourists and the weather outside is 5 degrees,you may wish to sit on a while.The range of food is extensive and caters for Western taste ,the wait staff are efficient and beautifull young people.They all have some English vocabulary. If you happen to book the executive rooms above the 7th To the 9th floors food and drink is available from 2 pm to 5pm free of charge on the 14 th floor,the range is limited to mainly finger food and of high quality. The streets to the rear of the hotel contain many and varied restuarants and coffee shops in all price ranges ie Starbucks,ATMs at a major bank is also available at the rear of the hotel.

Excellent location with subway access”

My wife, our college graduated daughter, and I visited Seoul, Korea and stayed at Lexington Hotel. After we got off the plane, we were able to locate the airport shuttle that directly took us to the hotel. It took 40 minutes to arrive at the hotel. It was convenient and no hassle. The hotel is located two blocks away from the National Assembly Station of the subway system. Again it is convenient and the subway is able to take you to sightseeings and many attractions. We will stay at the same hotel on our next visit to Seoul, Korea.

The location of the hotel is quite convenient, very near to the Yeouido park and just 5-10!minutes walk to the subway station.

Great overnight stay perfect for what I needed”

I was staying there as a stopover. Easy to travel direct aiport shuttle for around to the door of the hotel. Plenty of fine dining options in hotel also takeaway and cafe's right behind it easy to access Hello Starbucks !! Little comfort in a foreign city :) wi fi in my room big + warm room comfy bed. Above avg for the price paid.

Not what we were expecting....”

I stayed in the Lexington because it seemed like a nice quality hotel close to another Luxury Hotel where I would be attending an event the next day. The hotel has restaurants that offer a wide variety of meals. I did not buy from any of the restaurants but they seemed good. My main issue with the hotel is that the lobby, entrances and restaurants are very grand and ornately decorated. The hallways and rooms however are a diffeent story. The room was much nicer than most of the hotel rooms I've used in Korea. However, after seeing such a lovely first floor, the room was a bit of a disappointment.

Dont be misled by the bad ratings”

I liked staying there and will go there again. The bad ratings in my eyes come only from the expectation that 5 stars bring along. For 5 stars you would expect the carpet in the gangway to renewed after a while e.g. The hole hotel apart from first floor (reception) got aged a bit but with dignity. Clean (it was !) should not be mixed up with new. For me the stay at the Agoda rate was perfectly OK. If had payed the original price for a 5 star I might have been disappointed.

Good, but not the best”

It's worthy the price. But I heard embarrasing noise of the room next to mine. And the hotel is now on rennovation, so U can hear the noise of construction, too. (During the day) They say that the construction noise will last during this year.

Local Coach Can Take You from Airport to the Hotel”

Lexington is a quaint hotel. It has an old, romantic feel to it. It's near to Youido Park which you can walk from the hotel. If you are into Koreanovelas, the studio of KBS is just nearby where you can get a free walk-in tour of some of their studios. Youido Park is also nice especially that is has been featured in a lot of Koreanovelas. When going to Lexington Hotel from the airport, don't pay the taxi anymore. A couch/bus will stop by right in front of the hotel. You just need to find that bus stop in the airport which has the Lexington Hotel sign on it and hop-on.

Kensington Hotel Yoido is worth for business traveller”

This location is located outside the sopping district, it takes around 30 minutes by bus (number 463) to go to myeongdong, dongdaemun, namdaemun and other tourist destination in Seoul. This hotel is located in central business district in seoul, quite nice area, its not noisy, many restaurants and nightlife around the hotel.

The hotel is nearby the center of the town, many transportation is available;taxi station and aiport bus stop are just in front of the main entriance and subway station is also 5 mintus by walk. Many food shop is closed by the hotel, western and Korean food is also availabe. Inhouse coffe shop provide dinner buffet with very resonable price.
