Great Hotel, Great Location, Friendly Staff”

I really enjoyed my stay at Khun Chaweng. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Pool area was nice and relaxing. Located 5mins from Chaweng Beach and a short drive to the pier if you wanted to travel to Koh Pangnan. Only 10min from the airport too. Lots of tour agents in the area to book transport or activities through. The only downside to Khun Chaweng is that it is located next to a Drag Cabaret show which play the same music every night and you hear it clearly from your room. Other than that the resort is great and would definitely recommend it. There is a nice Aussie owned café located next door which is great for food or drinks anytime of the day.

Big room, modern, right in the centre of things”

as other reviews mentioned this hotel is in a converted shopping area right in the middle of a busy area. the room i had was a fair bit back from the road, so once i put the air conditioning on i literally didn't hear a thing. really nice big room, not finished to a high standard but it does look modern and for the money is very good value (for the area). chaweng itself wasn't really for me. very touristy, smells a bit funky and the local shopkeepers (many were not thai) harrass you a lot more to come in and buy compared to other areas. it was interesting enough to see though and loads more shopping here than elsewhere on the island. chaweng is kind of a party town, so don't plan on getting sleep before midnight (there's a lady boy show next door to khun chaweng) or waking up before 9 as nothing is open by then. i was there with a group of friends, all staying in different levels of budget. my higher class friends were at a hotel way down the track. literally 25 minute walk. nice place but personally you'd be better off in khun chaweng. you're there to party, shop and be amongst it so may as well have a decent hotel without having to commute. the main strip is one way so taxi's are not as cheap as they should be for the distance covered.

a place hidden behind a bar, a hotel barely notice from outside and inside are totally different from it looks. the room is awesome..... the bed is soft n comfort perhaps the hotel is still new. the shower place are cool and semi transparent. the entrance is bit noisy as a bar is just in front of your staying but don't worry, sound proof are good enough to stay. another thing, do check out the pool behind as it also equip with jacuzzi in case you need. we stay 4 hotels during our trip to samui, khun chaweng is the place we like the most. i would recommend this hotel.

great location nice rooms”

khun chaweng is a new hotel with nice rooms and great location.it is the number one place of the israelies in chaweng so dont be surprized to hear loud israeli music in the evenings.the stuff are friendly it has free wi fi but the conection is not always possible.the hotel is very clean has good shower and i would defenitly recomend it.

our staying at khun chaweng was a great one! the hotel is located near everything u might want including bars and 7/11, the beach and everything alse. we stayed in for four night in the supirior room and it was a big, clean and accessorize room. little bit loud near the first rooms of the hotel because of a ladyboy show which takes place till 12.

Location, accomodation and price but.......noise.”

hotel is converted from a strip shopping center. the rooms still have the all-glass store fronts with large privacy curtains. the rooms themselves are quite nice with a wonderful "rain shower" shower head for a soothing hot shower. refrigerator, nice comfortable beds, small lcd tv, air and even a couple of umbrellas were provided in the room but no phone. the location is ideal except that at the front of the hotel there is cabaret show that goes until midnight and it is loud. this situation kinda ruins what would be one of the best hotel deals in chaweng. it is also close to being on the flight path of the samui airport runway so this noise is present also. the staff were nice and helpful for the most part and you have to pay a 500 baht key deposit...which oddly enough isn't given back to you when you give them the key but rather after you give them the key and they've checked your room after departure. i don't believe in this type of deceitful behavior....it should be called a room deposit and not a key deposit. beware. if you're looking for quiet and peaceful accommodation, go elsewhere. if you are interested in partying and value for the money, this place is for you. i will probably stay elsewhere if i return to chaweng.

Great little place”

Had a great stay at Khun Chawenge,across the rd to beach,but at night come out you room and you were in the hub of night life,but the room were very quiet at night,but we were near the pool end,I would imagine if you were near the reception it would be noisy at night,,so unless your a night owl get a room pool end.

New and convenient with great lcoation”

There are 2 types of room available at Khun Chaweng Resort, standard and superior which only differnt of about 150 bath per nitght. I have choosen the superior type and stayed 2 nights at the Chaweng beach. Staff are kind and friendly. It location at the very stategic place which in the middle of the Chaweng "cowboy town". The Caberet show is just infront of the resort and only 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. There is safety box provided in each room, so it will be feeling safe and relaxing hanging around the area. Surrounding the resort you can easily found motorcycle for rent. By riding around the island, its only charge about 200 ~ 250 bath per day. Chaweng is happening in the night time, you can easily find pub and bhistro around the corner.

Perfect location for great value”

Loved it! Used to live on Samui for 3 years and saw this place being created out of an unsuccessful shopping center (with every shop being turned into a room). Now finally got to stay there and it's been great: good room-size, great price and best location: right in the center of Chaweng, next to Starz Cabaret and close to all entertainment venues. Don't go if you're looking for a quiet getaway!

Value for money”

Enjoy our stay at Khun Chaweng resort. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. 7-11 just a few steps away. Nong Ploy restaurant (worth eating at this restaurant, clean, tasty and very reasonable price)is just a minute from the resort.

It was a pleasant stay. Great, I must say. The location is perfect. The proximity to food outlets, entertainment joints, Muay Thai stadium and even the beach is what makes Khun Chaweng hotel a great hotel to stay. Some of the rooms and bathrooms are large. By and large, the rooms are neat and cosy.

We always book Khun when in Samui. Great value for money, nice clean designroom. The cabaret next door plays loud music til midnight, but thats not a problem as long as you dont get the rooms close to the street.

Excellent location....but shower room could be....”

it's located at the main street of Chaweng. Abt 200-300m (walking) away from the Central Festival Mall. The streets can b quite congested. Everything frm food, cafes, bars n spas are all in walking distance. Rooms arent really spacious but are clean n comfortable. The toilet/shower room is enclosed by glass panels (inc the door) which arent really the tempered ones..thus ppl frm outside the toilets could potentially still see u doin your thing. So heads up for those of u who may feel uncomfortable knowing tht u can be seen from the bedroom area. They are restaurants just nxt to the hotel whr u can hv breakfast n coffee. Staff were friendly and there is the pool at the backyard. Overall good for a few days stay.

location is super & value for $$$”

highly recommended for travelers that are conscious about location & budget. Khun Chaweng Resort is a great place to stay which is in the middle of the shopping, food, entertainment area which is so lively at nights. Major fast foods joints are within walking distance & there is a 7-11 just next door on the left side of the main road.There is also a swimming pool within the resort compound. Enjoyed my 4 days' stay there & will definitely go back to this resort soon ...

good location but a little bit noisy”

The location is very good, near the beach and bars. The room looks very comfortable and I enjoy reading books in the room. But it is a little bit noisy because there's a bar just in front of Khun Chaweng, but it will be quiet after 23:00.

Great location!”

khun is situated just off the main strip in chaweng, but away from most of the craziness of it all, so you get to enjoy some peace. the hotel is not exactly easy to find but once you are around the burger king area, you should be able to spot it. the rooms are huge, although not boasting of very good room fittings, it is basic yet it is enough for budget travellers.

very central, slightly noisy but value for money”

hotel was centrally located just off the main chaweng beach resort, could walk out and you would be in the heart of the action, bars, restaurants, shops etc beach is around 5mins walk. could be quite noisy at night, would have been nice if it was abit closer to the beach but for the price you really cannot argue, the rooms are spacious, get cleaned daily. However please note when booking agoda states breakfats is included however there is no restaurant at the hotel for breakfast....
