An absolute gem hidden in busy, touristy Chaweng”
We had to stay in crowded, noisy, touristy Chaweng because of a wedding there. We purposely stayed away from the large hotels with big pools and loud music. It's amazing that King's Garden Resort exists. It's such a random hotel that doesn't really fit into the Chaweng identify--which is perfect for us. We wanted something quiet, somewhere where you don't have to fight for a beach chair. King's Garden was it. We decided to treat ourselves and booked their one and only sea-front room. We couldn't be happier with our choice. It was extremely spacious, so much so that we used it for a pre-wedding party. The patio that sits on the beach is equally spacious, so people were able to mingle there with the sounds of the waves (and Ark Bar) the background. The second anyone stepped into our room, the person who immediately compliment how charming, cozy, and home-like it looked and felt. The interior is white, and all the furniture were light in color. So the entire space felt very welcoming--sort of like that summer-house feel. The bed was very comfortable, although a bit soft for my taste. The down pillows totally made up for the soft mattress, and the mosquito nets did come in handy. The uninterrupted view of the beach, sea, and sunrise will make you forget you're in a cheesy, touristy area of Samui. The sunrise warmed up the room quite a bit in the morning, but it was stunning. The bathroom was big, although it had no bathtub, and the hot water was very on and off. Both the indoor and outdoor sofas fit 3, even 4, average-sized adults. Breakfast was a mix of western and Thai. Not a big spread, but more than enough to start your day. The garden itself is well maintained. The staff were continually pruning, watering, and planting new plants. We're so glad we picked this place, especially when we didn't need all the amenities that a larger hotel offers, like a pool and gym. Why would you need a pool when you have the beach and sea literally at your doorstep?

Exceptional”
We had been on a journey that started in Bangkok then went on to Koh Samui stopping in an apartment on Bang Por Beach, a hotel in Koh phangan and finished in Chaweng Kho Samui at the Kings Garden Resort before joining family in Hong Kong. All three were different and we enjoyed each one for different reasons. We had a deluxe bungalow at the Kings Garden and this was the best we had sampled. The bed was so.. comfortable and having a settee in the room was an additional pleasure. I liked the outside area that had a padded seating area and the fact that you had your own pad for the sunbed on the beach. Unfortunately we had torrential rain while we were there so was unable to sample the beach which looked so inviting even in the rain. Breakfast was one of the best I have experienced as per other reviewers comments. As well as the normal English, European and Thai breakfast it had a choice of healthy teas to sample and you could also make your own healthy juices using the fruit provided and a juicer! How good is that! I spoke to a guest who had been there 5 times before even though she had tried other places she found herself returning to this hotel and I can see I will just have to return myself just to experience it in the sunshine. On the last night thanks to some guests we found the night market just across the road from the resort with a fantastic choice of cheap delicious food. It's hidden down a side pathway on the other side of the road, you would never know if you weren't told. We stopped in Koh Samui 5 years ago and ate at Poppies Hotel so wanted to revisit. It is about a kilometre turning left out of the resort or a 50 baht songthaew ride. It is a bit more expensive than we usually pay but well worth it for fabulous Thai food and the presentation and service make it a special occasion. As we had eaten a lot of Thai food during our visit we enjoyed the food at Greek restaurant called the Olive Tree. Also near to Poppies. The home cooked lam

Steps away from the beach”
Arrived a little early but our beach bungalow was ready so checked in very quickly. Room was lovely with ample space and a nice balcony/terrace to the front. only a few steps away from the beach. lovely garden around, friendly staff. Following our stay at Ko Tao, Phi Phi and similar I found the Samui island to be the one to cater to older travellers. This hotel was no exception. Breakfast was basic. we have only used the hotel's restaurant for 1 lunch only which was not the best Thai food we had throughout our stay. Reception shuts at around 8pm and the restaurant shuts at around sunset or 8ish. Comfy beds and pillows, fresh towels everyday and basic room cleaning. I cannot find any faults at all will probably stay again in this hotel but will not pay the extra for a beach bungalow as all other bungalows are also very close to beach and inside a beautiful garden. Thank you King's Garden !

Best beach in Chaweng”
Twelve nights and days recently spent at Kings Garden Resort, missing the torrential floods, so I can report on a truly happy vacation! Location is one major factor making this resort a wonderful choice. Walking the kms of Chaweng Beach, one will not find a better position on the sandy shoreline. Most hotels insist on a swimming pool, intruding almost to the sea, leaving almost no sand on which to lounge. KGR has a large, sandy beach, reaching towards the sea from well-tended lawns and flower gardens, daily being pampered and developed by the landscaping staff. Large, leafy tress afford shade when the sun becomes too relentless, and snacks and drinks can be ordered from the attentive resort servers. The bungalows/rooms are brightly immaculate, cleaning staff replacing linen and towels daily; showers and air con work proficiently; the huge king size bed is super-comfortable and one sleeps peacefully. Only the few units closer to the beach road, with its blaring vans continually inviting visitors to kick-boxing events and band music from the pub across the road, might suffer more noisy interference. The breakfasts spread is excellent. Freshly-cut fruit; juices, which can be individually pressed; yoghurts, salads, Thai cooked dishes, eggs to order, bacon, sausages, cold meat cuts, a variety of freshly baked breads, do-it-yourself toasted sandwiches, a range of teas, and coffee, croissants and waffles, all contribute to the variety available, and we didn’t tire over the permutations over our stay. A short walk from the centre of Chaweng, with a boundless choice of places to eat, KGR is my first choice, especially as it is very competitively priced, with a staff always happy to accommodate the farangs’ needs! Will definitely return.

A Nice Stay!”
I stayed in Bungalow #1 for one night. This bungalow is located close to the beach, and far from the street. it was a very comfortable room, clean, and well appointed. The bed was the nicest I had in Thailand. The hotel is located on a lovely part of the beach. I will say that the beach north of King's Garden Resort becomes increasingly narrow and more polluted. I observed bricks and other pollution on the beach and in the water, especially near the Ark Bark and points beyond, so I was very happy to be where I was. Breakfast was fine, and the staff was professional and friendly to me. The resort takes great care of the gardens and were replacing sod and plants, etc., when I arrived. The resort is located on the main drag of Chaweng, but out of earshot of the Ark Bar and the scene surrounding it. There are an almost unending variety of shops, a mall, and restaurants, so it's definitely a fun area to be in. For the bed alone, it was worth the stay!

Lovely bungalow resort but not cheap”
King's Garden Resort is one of the few old style bungalow resorts left in Chaweng beach. Most of the others are demolished to make room for concrete-glass hotel type resorts which, in my view, are ruining and further commercialising Ko Samui. Bungalows are specious and clean, there is a garden in the middle opening up to the beach without any concrete in sight. Garden is well kept, water pressure in toilets is excellent, staff is really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for couples looking for quiet picturesque resort.

Thoroughly relaxing and comfortable.”
King's Garden was very relaxing. Great location near shops and restaurants yet far enough away from the doof, doof of noisy bars. It was right on beach front and I loved my beachfront bungalow - so much more than just a hotel room. Staff are lovely and they will pick you up from airport if requested. Breakfast was a la carte from menu (low season?) and more than sufficient, sitting right at beachside. Other menu items were very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again and would recommend this little gem. Touring tips - whether you play golf or not, play a few holes on royal samui golf club - the views are amazing!

Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast”
We stayed at King's Garden for 4 nights. The rooms are tidy (standard), thank goodness for air-conditioning...March is very hot in Samui. Staff are very friendly and efficient. We had a 10 pm departure (check out time 11 am), there is a storage facility for baggage and a shower is available to freshen up prior to a long journey. Breakfasts are well worth it...not necessarily in abundance of selection, but just in the presentation, the location of where you eat...spend some time having breakfast, you'll enjoy it. Overall we enjoyed our stay...we also stayed near the back, no problem with noise from the main road, never heard a thing.

Fantastic ”
Our second time at Kings Garden & definitely won't be our last. We've stayed at many hotels/resorts on Koh Samui but Kings Garden is the best of any others by far. Kings Garden is the only place we'll be staying at when visiting Koh Samui, everything is spot on for a great relaxing holiday/ getaway. Definitely a 10/10👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Hightly recommend for any travelers 👌🏼

Nice Resort with Beautiful Garden & Beach”
king's garden resort has many wooden made chalets surrounded with a variety of plants and trees. a very nice and quiet place to stay. the beach is beautiful and it's free for hotel guests to enjoy sun bathing, reading and swimming. located along the most happening chaweng beach, this place is convenient for shoppers and those looking for beers, seafood & night life. all within walking distance. motorbike is one of the mode of transportation in koh samui. you can get it from the resort.

Excellent hotel, very well located”
We stayed at king'S garden resort 3 nights. The hotel Is very clean, confortable and very well located. Rooms are very nice with all what you can need. The breakfast is very nice too. The only negative point was the smell in the bathroom. Because of the heat, sometimes it didn't smell very good. I definitely recommend this place.

Bangkok expats on holiday”
One of the nicest and clean beach areas on Chaweng Beach. Many lounge chairs are shaded by trees and big umbrellas. Beautiful, well cared for, gardens. Delightful birdsong every morning. Excellent massages near the beach - relax while listening to the surf and the birds. Friendly, helpful, staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Would pick this resort for any return visit to Samui.

Stunning gardens leading to an amazing beach. Paradise.”
Just the right distance from the very lively entertainment area ,(5 min walk). Its like an oasis when u walk in to the grounds, stunning tropical gardens with charming pathways leading down to an amazing beach, sand so soft don't bother with swim shoes. Such lovely genuine staff, they all seem so happy all the time, thanks to the lovely girl on reception for the late checkout at no extra charge and the massage under the canopy looking out at that amazing view was only heaven. The bungalows themselves are just perfect, clean, spacious and all mod cons. If this hotel was in Ireland, where we travelled from it would be considered 5 star, don't know how it only got 3 but more enjoyable than any 5 star I've ever stayed in. Thanks again for making our perfect holiday.....my top tip for koh samui besides all the brilliant excursions is to rent a scooter for a couple of days to see the whole island and its natural beauty, very reasonable at only about 6.50 euro per day and they drive on left.

Absolutely superb”
I travel a lot, have been to Thailand and Samui 6 or 7 times. I've stayed in loads of places all over the world. Nice places. Some not so nice. Kings Garden has to rank in the top 5 places I've stayed. Everything about it is wonderful. The bungalows are a great size and the housekeeping excellent; the beds are comfortable and are netted to protect you from mozzies; the grounds are in beautiful condition - serene, green, comforting; breakfast is a delicious mix of Asian and Continental (people who complain about this need to take a hard look at themselves and STOP WHINGING); the location is perfect in terms of being a short less-than-ten minute walk along the beach or road into the main madness of Chaweng (but loads of places to eat just a stone's throw away); the beach out front is clean and the water divine. The Internet is a little patchy at time but not unusual in Thailand and generally fine. And the staff are delightful, friendly and helpful (but again, that's Thailand, right?)

Another great stay”
Second time staying. Only there for 2 days, but all good. Little 'villas' are beautifully finished. Originally paid a bit more and went for a beachfront Bungalow. A bit disappointed that it is not truly beachfront given the extra money. It was in fact smaller than the Garden Suite we had previously stayed in, so as our Children are 11 and 13 we asked for a switch, to which they kindly obliged. Highly recommend Garden suite if kids are older. Worked out in the end and we had pleasant couple of days. Breakfast the best of any hotel we have tried in Koh Samui, excellent! Location superb, staff super helpful.

Awesome place - Way more than what we expected”
We happened upon Kings Garden Resort last year when we were looking for another place to stay further up the beach but somewhere where it is still low key and quiet. We looked around Kings Garden Resort last year and loved it straight away. Its lush gardens and quiet setting was perfect so we booked straight away for this year. There was some upgrading going on with some of the deluxe units last year and we saw a finished one and it was spotless, light and modern and tastefully decorated. When we arrived this year we were a bit frazzled having been delayed by a day but within no time at all our worries faded away and we soon took on the slow gentle pace of Kings Garden. This is not a place for party goers, big groups or even big families. Its perfect for couples who want to get away, rest and have some peace and quiet and unwind from their busy work schedules. There is no swimming pool - Great! - that means no screaming kids and why would you want a pool with the ocean only a few steps away down the pristine sand. From the word "go" we knew we had struck gold here, the staff are simply lovely and if you take the time to engage with them they respond willingly and love to learn their English just as we love to learn basic Thai. Sometimes things get "lost in translation" but hey that's the fun of it. Our unit was simply beautiful, we had a deluxe and it was luxury compared to where we had stayed previously further down the beach at Sans Souci....... Kings Garden have put in a lot of thought as to what is needed in the accommodation, down to the super comfy bed, feather and down pillows, the lovely mozzie netting around the bed (which wasn't needed but it showed off the bed beautifully), the extra fans (toilet and living area) plus the air con unit and mozzie screens on the windows if you wanted to have the windows open at night. The built in sofa was excellent in the living area with tasteful lamps either side. Everything was spotless and remained so w

Lovely Stay ”
We had a lovely stay at King's Garden Resort. The resort faces the sandy beach and located right in the center of Chaweng Beach. Breakfast was pretty good! Our rooms are very comfortable and clean. Th joy of morning walk on the beach was a favorite part of every day. This resort is within a 10-minute walk to Central Festival Samui. Restaurants, shopping and nightlife are just steps away. The walking street market is filled with restaurants, street vendors, pubs, pharmacies, massage parlours & cafes.

One night in Chaweng”
We only had one night in Chaweng on route to Koh Phanang. And we have been to this area before. The resort itself is pretty, right on the beach, and extremely quiet given the busy stretch it is located on. Beware of mosquitos though - they are rampant, even in our room. It would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast such as an omlette but only a buffet breakfast (cold meats, hard boiled eggs, yoghurts and fruit) seemed to be served. Not a deal-breaker though. We would definitely stay there again.

beautiful resort”
Very charming resort with a beautiful garden, i took standard bungalow because was the only available. the standard bungalow are nice outside and inside but have minibar empty all the time. The clean is very good and get towels changed every day but they didnt gave us amenities every day. the position of the resort it's in the middle of chaweng perfect. the receptionist has been available for the most of the request but she need to be more smiling because always serious. Anyway upon on my request to extend for another night she didnt gave me the same bungalow i stayed and I had to change bungalow for just 1 night. No good at all. The staff of the breakfast and on the bar on the beach was nice and kind and available. The resort has it's own private beach with everything provides but many thai sellers and also Chinese family camping for long time very very close to the beachbeds making the things bothering. But anyway in the complex the resort it's very good in itself.

The location and sea view in King's Garden Resort is excellent. It is close to Chaweng Central, very convenient for shopping and dining. Service(good but need to improve),location(excellent, Familymart at front door), room(clean but a little bit small),restaurant(good with sea view).
