Kinugasa hotels & places to stay

"I wish we would’ve booked a hotel or airbnb because we didn’t really save much money by opting for a hostel. we had one thin blanket, one thin pillow and a rock hard matttess in a tiny room. the room that was advertised was not the one we received the actual room was tiny and had no storage. I wish I had spent about 1,000-2,000 yen more for an airbnb. the only plus was the bike rentals for 1,500 yen a day which wasn’t too bad. Overall, unfortunately I would not stay here again."

"It was a wonderful accommodation. It was very spacious, and the water facilities were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The drink service was also appreciated. The staff were polite and kind. Next time, I would like to try a room with an outdoor bath."

"Someone said it feels like sleeping at a relative's house, and I felt the same way. The hosts were very kind. Everything was comfortable without any discomfort, and it's a really good guesthouse for the price. It was even better because there were only two guest rooms. The dog is so cute. It liked me as if it had found its lost mom, haha."

"I got confused with the check-in process, but they responded immediately, and I was able to enter my room safely. The location was excellent, right in front of the parking lot, a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and close to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and there’s a washing machine, kitchen, refrigerator, and microwave, making it a great option for long-term stays. There's also a supermarket very close by. Since there's a police station nearby, police cars often pass by."

"I stayed in the kids' room at Registay Nishijin. It's close to Kyoto Station, and there's a supermarket across the street. Right in front is a bus stop, so after sightseeing in the city, it was heavenly to be able to get off at the stop and enter the hotel right away when tired. There was a coin parking lot just 50 meters away, which was helpful for parking our private car that we drove from outside the prefecture. The room was very clean, and the kitchen for self-catering was equipped with an IH stove, knife, scissors, dishware, and cutlery. The complimentary 2L water and electric kettle were also useful for making instant noodles in the middle of the night. The bath was very clean, and I was impressed with the bath salts provided as amenities. Although it said check-in was at the office near Kyoto Station rather than on-site, I received an email a few days before my stay that allowed me to fill out the pre-check-in form. This enabled me to check in at the hotel without having to go to the office. The room had a projector, a bunk bed, and furnishings. It is an ideal accommodation for children. If I had to mention any downsides, it would be that there were no lace curtains and it would have been better if the TV could be repositioned. However, overall, it was well within an acceptable range, and it turned out to be a very satisfying trip."

"The location was good and convenient for sightseeing and transportation. The facilities were clean and well-equipped with Wi-Fi and amenities, allowing for a comfortable stay. However, there was room for improvement, such as the time it took to book the same room and to change the password."

"The accommodation is located in a quiet residential area, very close to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. In about a 5-minute walk, you can reach the famous cherry blossom spot, Hirano Shrine. It is also near the area where you can feel the charm of Kyoto's Kamishichiken district. Regarding the building and facilities, it is an old house, so it might feel cold during severe winter, but if you turn on the air conditioning, it should be manageable. The bathroom has new facilities with heating, which is very good. With a mattress and futon on tatami, there's no worry about small children falling, which is great. Overall, it was a clean, quiet, and wonderfully comfortable place to sleep."
