Highly recommended”
We spent 4 nights at this very nice resort. The best choise you can make on the wonderful Koh Ngai. Even if there are many rooms in the resort is peaceful and quiet the whole day. In the morning the beach and pool are quite empty. Nice large beach equipped with sun decks ect, pool (with sea water) grate especially if you have children (there is small part, divided for babies). Rooms easy but you are in a such beautiful garden ...... in a middle of a "jungle". Marvelous birds, butterflies .....and some monitor lizards but you have to go to find them (not danger of bumping in one in the pubblic spaces). Easy access to the "main" beach on the isle (not in the evening, but the restaurant on premises is very good at reasonable prices, opened the whole day). Basic but satisfactory free breakfast. Very nice and helpfu staff. Wi-fi so and so (not in the room). Free finns and the snorkeling stuff, free kayak 2 hrs a day (nice and easy trip to Paradise Beach). Variety and quantity of fish !!!!!!!!!!! just in front and close to the pier. Highly recommended. Thanks Koh Ngai Resort ......

Perfect Getaway”
Our group of four visited Koh Ngai Resort for 3 nights after Christmas. Yes, it is an older resort but it is well maintained. It is perfectly located on its own private beach which has good snorkeling. You can walk to the other beach but the path can be challenging - so much easier to pay 50 THB per person to be taken by longtail boat. The free snorkels and the use of a kayak for 2 hours a day is a bonus. It's also a plus to have the proximity of the pier. You are able to just walk to the resort on your arrival. We found the prices to be reasonable considering it's an island. Food was good but tended to be a little bland although when asked to add more spices the staff was very accommodating. We found all the staff was friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Siwaporn who exceeded our expectations in regards to our accommodation! We all were sad to leave the peacefulness and beauty of Koh Ngai.

Best hidden secret stay ever!! Must stay!”
This place was classic Thai style decor, which isn’t the prettiest in my opinion. Very minimal but clean rooms, free waters daily but besides that it’s just a room, a bed, a desk, a dresser & empty space lol..... BUT besides that this was amazing. You’re not spending much time in the room anyways & we didn’t have any bugs in our room. The view every day outside my window was unreal for 30 usd bucks a night. With free snorkeling stuff & free kayaks for however many hours a day, it’s unreal how cheap it is. The employees are over the top kind & hospitable. It’s definitely a nice private beach with a short 10 minute walk to the other beach. Personally, we just stayed on koh Ngai resort side! Super private & a better view! 10/10

Excellent”
Good value for money. The facility is a bit old compared to some others on the island and facilities may need more maintenance but nevertheless, rooms were kept clean, service was impeccable, food delicious, and staff polite and service oriented. Snorkeling in front of the resort is ok but compared to Koh Kradan, not as exciting. Our friends who also stayed at Koh Ngai Resort were pleased with the hotel’s policy to offer equipment free of charge. We warmly recommend the place as a viable option for a relaxing stay on the Koh Ngai Island. Transfers to other islands were also effectively arranged by the front desk. Access path to other resorts though is quite challenging for elderly ones and can not be recommended during high tide and hours of darkness.

Great vacation”
Great beach vacation. Koh Ngai Resort is secluded on its own beach and cove. You can walk about 10 minutes to reach the other beach where the majority of the beach hotels are located. If you want a peaceful stay on Koh Ngai then stay at this resort. The rest of the resorts are packed together bungalow after bungalow (resort after resort). We stayed in the air con room, which was nice and had a view of the water from the balcony. Due to the tides on the island this resort is also one of the best for swimming as the other resorts have a very shallow beach. There is also a nice coral reef about 100M off shore with lots of fish. The food was good, especially the Thai food. People complain about the food prices here but it is quite standard for anything on a Thai Island and you can't compare it to the mainland or Bangkok. Thai dishes: B150-180 per dish; Burger: B200; Pizza: B250; Large Singha B150. All in all the resort exceeded our expectations with very friendly staff and service.

Nice place, good value”
Rooms and location are really really good for value, confortable, space, etc. The resort is clean and well maintained. Staff is nice and service minded. The resort has a dedicated beach isolated from other resorts which made it a perfect retreat. (We stayed there at the beginning of the season, the resort was not very croûtes, so it may not be as quiet when the island fully reserved). For a longer stay (>3 nights) you may feel a bit far from other resorts (15mns of "tricky" walk), bars and restaurants on Koh Ngai biggest beach (which was not our case). Also all diving clubs are there. Resorts on this bigger beach seemed also more "dreamy" or "classy" but also much more expensive so in the end Koh Ngai Resort was the perfect choice for us.

Good stay”
I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were perfectly fine, and the Ko Ngai setting was beautiful. The food at the restaurant was good, and reasonably good value given the location. Most of all I found the staff courteous, and were generously accommodating given I was a day late arriving at the resort. The beach immediately in front of the resort is mainly a coral beach - with snorkelling possible at high tide (lots of colourful fish), otherwise it's best to clamber along the narrow path to the beach where the other resorts can be found. That beach is somewhat sandier ,though still with some submerged rocks/coral to watch out for. The snorkelling gear was included in the room price. A small suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a ladder to the end/side of the pier, so that it would be easier to get in and out of the water. A good experience for the price.

Resort hotel in a great location”
The Koh Ngai Resort was the first resort on this small island and has a great location, with snorkelling over a reef right off the beach. The hotel is showing its age a bit, but is still very comfortable and pleasant. Food was OK though nothing special. You are a bit isolated at this resort as in the evenings the only route to the other resorts on the island is over a rough jungle path, impassable at high tide. Overall though, a nice place to stay and good value for money.

Everything you need and a good price”
This is a good value option on Koh Ngai. Most ferries and speed boats stop at their pier, they have a pool, pool towels, include snorkel and sea kayak equipment at no additional charge. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. It's a bit around from the main beach.

Comfortable, old hotel at perfect location”
Resort is old and worn out, and for the price you paybone might expect something more polished, however the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff very helpful, free snorkelling eq and kayak were a nice addition. The location is great, secluded amd private with some nice snorkelling just off the beach. The thai food in restaurant is excellent but quite expensive, as everything on the island. I guess its the best pick on koh ngai

Fair value for your price ”
This hotel looks more like a summer camp, but offers everything you need. Rooms are clean and quite big (only bed was pretty small). One of the cheapest hotels in Koh Ngai. Staff is very friendly (they even borrowed us towels and snorkelling masks after we checked out). It's at the pier, but a bit away from all the other hotels/restaurants and main beach. but it has a beautiful private beach. Restaurant is a bit pricy as well compared to the others. As for us the price mattered we were happy to stay there

Slightly outdated hotel in fantastic place.”
Located on separate beach of Koh Ngai island, this hotel has an advantage of its own coral reef right off the beach, so you can snork all you like, free snorkeling equipment provided. We booked fan rooms and they were quite basic, no hot water and no fridge. Still, for the money we paid it was a good deal. Reastaurant is ok, thai food is really great, but european is pricy and sometimes strange to my taste.

If you are looking for quiet place to snorkel and relax, look no farther. Food is good.”
If you want nightlife and hustle and bustle an much to do, don’t go to Koh Ngai. Went there 27 years ago and then this past week. Much had changed but a lot was still the same. Restaurant had good Thai and foreign cuisine.

Relaxing with nice food!”
Our stay in Koh Ngai Resort was good, the reception staff are extremely friendly, the room was big and we got it at a good price. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and not as expensive as you would think from some reviews. The downside was you can not access the other parts of the island from this resort, unless it is low tide and you are pretty fit. You have to do a bit of a jungle walk (and only in low tide) and there are no longtail services. You could also hire a kayak and do it, perhaps this would be easier. It is however a nice relaxing place, nice food, nice buffet breakfast and beautiful surroundings. It is a nice touch to have a pool also!

Nice hotel but isolated”
Very friendly staff, we played beach voley with a few of them even though the communication was limited. One woman at the reception seems to be the only one to speak proper english but you are in Thailand so it's everywhere the same.. Just need to be patient! We were really happy about the food we had (we only tried the thai menu)! The restaurant is just by the water offering a really nice view of the few islands around with a cooling breeze. Breakfast on the first morning was really good, fried rice, noddles, salads, omelet, fruits, toasts/pankakes and juices. Second day was not as good, no more fried rice, the fried noddles were tasteless and no more omelets..Service was much faster than in restaurants on the main beach but don't expect your meal in 5min. The resort is located on a small beach by itself but a bit rocky. we tried to snorkle in front of the beach, it seems to be a very good site but the wind and courant didn't help the visibility. We had friends staying on the same island but on the long beach so we had to walk through a rocky path 10-15min a few times a day which was not ideal but ok is you are not barefoot. We felt like most people stay in the koh ngay resort at night because they feel a bit trapped or don't have a light to walk to the main beach which could be a bit annoying for explorers. Another problem with the location is that you have to walk to this main beach to take the trail to paradise beach (which is definitely the best beach of the island) so it's some extra walk.. We rented twice equipment for snorkling from the hotel, a bit old but ok we had trouble only with one set. We took a fan room, quite big with a balcony, no hot water but overall clean and ok, you can't expect luxury when you take a fan room. don't go to the back of the hotel it's full of trash. Overall is quite good for the price. just make sure you don't get hurt walking through the rocky path to the main beach or you'll be stuck for the rest of your stay.

The rooms don't justify the price, only the beautiful island”
I stayed in a 'fan room' which I wouldn't recommend to do in summer season — unless you're used to sleeping at over 28°C. The roof heats up so much during daytime that it's hotter inside than outside at night. Compared to Koh Lanta, you could get a similar room for a third of the price. BUT: you get an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and also snorkeling gear and Kayaks for free. The staff was friendly and quite attentive. The resort has the only pier on the island, so when you come by speedboat you're directly there. If you'd like to explore the main beach, though, you'd have to wait for low tide.

perfect getaway”
We loved our stay. Their beach is secluded and beautiful!!! Food quality and prices are on par with other island resorts. We hired a private long-tail from the camping spot up the beach for $2,500 for the day and snorkeled at Koh Kraden and Mook.

Very quiet. Amazing nature. Snorkeling.”
WE really appreciate the calm and silence because we were coming from 2 weeks of intensing travelling and we had to rest. Koh Ngai Resort is surrounded by nature, the jungle outside the window. Amazing see and beaches and lot of activities organized by the staff.
