Review Content: I booked a room at Laguna Grand Hotel and Spa through Agoda with the clear selection of the “Room with Breakfast” option — which was priced higher than the non-breakfast option. I even applied a 10% coupon, but the final amount I paid was still higher, confirming my choice. Upon arrival, I was told breakfast was not included. Agoda’s customer service repeatedly avoided responsibility, gave inconsistent responses, and escalated me from agent to agent without resolution. Their system clearly failed to reflect what was shown and promised at the time of booking. I spent hours of my family holiday arguing over something that should have been fixed instantly. This is not about the money — it’s about honesty, transparency, and respecting customers. This experience has destroyed my trust in Agoda.

We booked 2 rooms; one for ourselve and other for our niece with a very young son. A hotel had very nice settings (very nice ambience (10/10) with beautiful backdrop of river and mountain . Our room (10/10) was large, luxury and very clean with very nice view of river and mountain . There were a few things for improvement e.g. no chairs in a balcony, no wifi detail anywhere and no dressing but working table but in the bedroom which was too low to work comfortably. Breakfast (6/10) was o.k. but not for 5 stars hotel. No cold cuts, no cheese, no nuts,cold dimsum , very salty for some dishes and bland dessert. Staff (3/10) at front desk didn't bother to tell room numbers, ocations of rooms /floor, building lifts. We had to figure it out by ourselve. We had to carry our stuff by ourselve to the room. I didn't mind to carry stuff myself but my niece with a very young son would be nice if staff could offer a help. There was a staff I complained about how to navigate to rooms. She changed the tone when we asked about the room no. and location and told us to look inside the room card folder by ourselve. She made us feel like how come you didn't know what room no . That was shame , no service mind. However, staff (10/10) at breakfast were very nice, friendly and helpful. I wished swimming pool a bit bigger with a funny location as guests had to walk through a car park to get to a swimming pool. Overall, we were happy with our stay even with flaws here and there.
