Relaxing family stay”

I'll gladly second all the positive reviews that had led me to book our 4 night stay at the Lanna Samui resort. Great for a relaxing family stay, especially if you are not looking to stay right on the beach and party, whilst it still has easy access to the Bo Phut beach, with its shopping areas/ restaurants. In fact, a plus point for me was that it was also a quick trip to Chaweng through the inner roads, as long as you had a map. The resort has helpful and friendly staff. Reception was open all day, so we had no trouble with the late check-in, extension of our booking, or the odd request or query. The suites we booked were great, very comfortable and clean, and well-equipped for a 4-star hotel. My only gripe - the shower area is not fully enclosed and its impossible not to wet the surrounding floor while using the shower. The house-keeping staff really respected the "Please do not disturb" and "Please make up my room" tabs on the door at all times, and was nice enough to come back and do our rooms unobtrusively and promptly as requested. Breakfast was complimentary, with a decent spread, and a nice a-la-carte menu. The room service menu had variety, and the food we ordered (on two occasions) was delicious. The only trouble we'd had was in locating the hotel when we arrived late at night, because of the poor condition of the main road from the beach, which was under maintenance in the off-peak season. The hotel had put up signage, but this wasn't easy to spot as the streets were far from well-lit; GPS saved the day. This doesn't take away from the hotel, except that it is not located on the beach or directly on one of the main roads of the island. The hotel even offered us a complimentary Thai massage at the spa due to the poor condition of the roads. =) They had set up a temporary spa, as their main spa premises were under renovation for the week. We certainly appreciated the much-needed, expertly-delivered message after our touristy sojourns in Samui.

A Sanctuary ”

I loved our stay in Lanna. Our experience from the moment we checked in to checking out was amazing. Our room looked fantastic with its white-coloured scheme. And it has got everything we needed. We had a stove, a microwave, a fridge with freezer, and enough storage for kitchen utensils and our wardrobe has got enough space for all our belongings. Our room was kept clean everyday of our stay and it was kept smelling fresh. We had free buffet breakfast everyday of our stay in Lanna. And we can order from their a la carte menu on top of the free buffet. Our favorite was the French toast. The staff were excellent. They went the extra mile and went beyond our expectations. They were all amazing and very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Paul for our breakfast chat every morning. He was an amazing staff at Lanna. It was a shame we were not able to say a proper goodbye when we left. Lanna's facilities and amenities were all excellent. We were able to use their herbal steam room and sauna and their fitness center which were all in mint condition. Lanna's swimming pool is amazing. It was kept very clean at all times and you will have a good view of it no matter from which room you're staying. Lanna is a bit secluded which we didn't mind as we wanted a nice and quiet resort to be away from the busy streets. It is only a 10 minute walk to the shops. But they also provide a shuttle bus to and from Central Festival and Fisherman's Village. Which was what we just needed. Lanna became a Sanctuary to us as its atmosphere and ambience made us relax and kept calm and made us refresh our minds from our usual busy lives. We will definitely consider staying there again when we visit Koh Samui hopefully in the near future. I encourage every traveler who will come and see Koh Samui and who would love to have a relaxing time to stay in Lanna. A great place to stay.

Wonderful Stay”

We absolutely loved Lanna Samui. The hotel was small, but just large enough, the rooms/apartments were excellent, with a small kitchen kitted out with everything you need, and the pool and restaurant area were beautiful. The manager of the property was very warm and welcoming and gave your stay a real personal touch, taking the time to find out about you and where you're from, which enabled him to greet you personally at breakfast each day which is a nice touch. The location is slightly out of the main hub of Samui (Chaweng) towards the North of the island close to Bo Phut and the fishing village. I have read reviews saying it's too remote, however we did not feel this at all. It was 15 minutes in a taxi/shuttle to Chaweng (which is not a nice area anyway, and we were glad to be away from it!) The area where the hotel is is so peaceful and quiet, we just loved it. We will definitely return if we ever go back to Samui!

A Pleasant Relief”

I spent a lot of time reviewing accommodations in the south of Thailand, including Koh Samui. I found it overwhelming and was concerned about what the reality was, vs. the website. Finally exhausted, I chose Lanna Samui. I was thoroughly satisfied and would likely stay there again. The room was modern, comfortable, and clean. I was there to relax after a stressful work period. The shower was fabulous, the kitchenette would have been great had I had the energy to cook for myself, and the sofa and tv options were excellent. The pool area was extremely clean, stylish, and relaxing. They even served complimentary frozen watermelon juice occasionally throughout the day. The dining area was pleasant and soothing by the pool. The management staff were attentive and helpful, as well as professional. When there was a minor disruption to the pool area due to a burst pipe, they immediately offered complimentary shuttle service to a lovely beach at the client's convenience and provided a complimentary happy hour. Lastly, they go the extra mile with providing high-quality toiletries, which do not come in little plastic bottles, as well as a lemongrass reed diffuser to enhance the ambience of the room. You feel like a valued, respected customer at Lanna Samui.

Great hotel, relaxing and beautiful !”

We stayed at Lanna during our week in Koh Samui. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The whole hotel is beautiful, clean, modern, decorated with great taste (like simple white and wood details, lovely). We had a garden view room with direct access to the amazing pool. The staff is great, all of them super kind and helpful ! The on-site restaurant is excellent, great food, and the à la carte breakfast (included) is just WOW. We're so looking forward to coming back to Lanna... I don't think I'd even check out other hotels in Koh Samui !

Excellent stay!”

We had an exceptional stay at Lanna Samui. The staff, particularly the manager, Lance, went out of their/his way to make our stay warm, friendly, and fabulous. The kids loved the pool, the food was top-notch, the rooms very clean and well-apportioned, and the service was fantastic. Small anecdote: My cell phone screen broke during our stay (tripped on a speed bump, long story) and the manager, Lance, suggested a local repair shop that completed the task in under an hour, with high-quality parts, and for 50% of the price of the same repair stateside. Such small, yet meaningful, moments of support, friendliness, and congeniality throughout our stay made our 3-day stay at Lanna truly memorable and we can't wait to return. Thanks, Lanna!

Fantastic resort ”

We spent 5 nights at Lanna Samui and loved it. Fabulous resort - excellent staff, fabulous pool and beautiful food in the restaurant. It was my fiances birthday and the staff wished him happy birthday without me even telling them. They also delivered a complimentary birthday cake to our room for him which was so thoughtful. The resort is located a short shuttle ride away from Fishermans Village and Chaweng. The hotel runs shuttles throughout the day to both locations for 50 baht per person each way. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Perfection from start to finish”

Lanna Samui is such a beautiful resort, I can’t fault it. I travelled with my boyfriend and 2 friends and we all loved it. The smell of the reception and rooms was divine- they had diffusers everywhere! It was spotless, bright and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We hired a scooter through the resort for 450baht for 24 hours and that was a great way to explore the island. The staff let us keep our room at no extra cost until 4pm when we were due to leave to get our flight. Not many places would do that for you! My only suggestion to improve would be to charge a bit less for the airport transfer as it was only 10 minutes away, and the same for the ferry port transfer as we thought this was FOC. Other than that- we had a brilliant time and would love to come back one day!

Excellent Hotel in Koh Samui”

Lanna Samui Luxury Resort was a fantastic resort that I enjoyed the stay. They provide great services and food as well. They have great guides recommended to travel around Samui. I recommend this place for families and couples. Great resort!

you won't be disappointed ”

Ive never been at Koh Samui before. But my experience so far have only been positive. We started of booking a room for 5 days at this hotel before we went to Thailand. The price was fair and the pictures of the hotel looked promising. We normally stay at 5-stars hotel only, but we where ready to give this a go. When we arrived i was amazed that the hotel actually looked the same as the pictures. (They never do) We had a warm welcome with a friendly and well spoken staff. It only took a few minutes before we where ready to be taken to our Studio Apartment. Once again i was amazed. 4 star hotel? How can this be possible? This should without any doubts be a 5 star hotel. We decided quickly to extend our visit with another 9days. No doubts there. + Free shuttle to city/other places. + Great food at the hotels restaurant. + Very friendly staff + Great pool area. (Staff also gave out free cooling-drinks at some occasions) - Slow internet (Maybe only in our room) Big thanks to the staff that helped us fixing with the insurance for my wounded foot. Also want to point out a big thanks to Sebastien. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent speaking skills in english, always there if you need anything. Will absolutely come back in November. Perfect for Transit”

We were looking for a good Hotel close to the Koh Samui Airport and found the Lanna Samui Luxury Hotel Suites. Very clean rooms, friendly service and well organized - our airport shuttle was perfectly timed. They've got a stylish and clean pool and a good restaurant, which however is expensive (or less cheap ;-) compared to the local standard.

I have to admit Lanna Samui by far is the most best hotel my girlfriend and I had ever stayed. The staffs were very polite and friendly compared to any hotel we had stayed. Sebastian who is the GM and Edward who is in charge of reservation were kind enough to provide help to plan for a surprise birthday treat for my girlfriend. Sebastian was kind to ask his chef to whip out an authentic halal thai cuisine for the romantic dinner which was by the pool. I especially love the room as it is spacious, clean and scented with vanilla. You will feel rejuvenate and relax when u woke up early every morning despite the late hang out. I wish that

Excellent”

Good value for money studio that was kept spotlessly clean. Friendly, warm staff that take pride keeping Lanna clean and friendly for guests. Lanna is within walking distance of Bangrak beach and it's restaurants/bars, hire a scooter/car and you will be able to explore slightly further afield. The daily happy hour around the pool make the bar area a great location for post lunch drinks before heading our for the night. If you take a studio do be aware that 1 side of the bed will be against the wall, this could be a problem for some. Taking a room on the ground floor or with a balcony is a good option for extra usable space. Looking forward to my next trip to Samui & Lanna.

Beautiful, tranquil and classy”

We loved it at lanna for many reasons. It's one of those places where i feel the photos dont do it justice. We felt so relaxed, we were treated with excellent service and the place smells divine. Pure luxury and a wonderful way to end our stay. We always got sunbeds, we were sooo well fes ay breakfast and the spa massages were also excellent. Only downside for us was location. We like walking to the beach etc but Lanna was too far away for that. However there is a reasonably priced shuttle bus to Fisherman's village and Chaweng Beach that we used and we even hired bicycles for no cost to explore the North coast. We would definitely come here again but next time we would hire mopeds.

An oasis of perfection.”

The best hotel experience of my life, It's the perfect Oasis on Koh Samui to plan your day or night adventures around the islands from. Everything priced near $100USD on all the islands is close to as nice and peaceful with every amenity possible except a beachfront (only 2 min away and they'll drive you when they can) Best not to be in a hotel on the beach in Mosquito Season anyway. Oasis”

Absolute oasis on Koh Samui. Excellent value for the money and an incredibly relaxing place to stay. They offer rides in to town, but we enjoyed hanging out by the pool all day and having lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Unlike most hotel restaurants, the food was excellent and very fairly priced. They also had live music and we really enjoyed our time there.

very pleasant, very nice place to relax, good gym”

This is a perfect place on Samui to enjoy a quiet and peacefull holiday. But also the busy main street of Chaweng is just 10min away by motorbike. The overall service is excelent and in every detail the resort is perfect. Especially for the gymrats and sporty types; they have excellent equipment from Life fitness which is enough to keep in shape during the holiday. Also the swimmingpool is nice and fits in to the superb design of the whole complex. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Samui!

Samui’s hidden gem”

Really enjoyed our time in Lanna. We rented a scooter for a couple of days to get to different beaches as the hotel is a little far from the beach. It is very peaceful and away from all the busy bar and beach areas in Samui. Breakfast was amazing and I even got a couple of glasses of fizz and a card from Lance the GM on my birthday to celebrate. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
