Great place, got more than we expected”

Overall a wonderful experience at Mali Resort. Location is quite good, not too far from lamai beach, and far enough to feel as if you're lost in wonderland. The owner was friendly and the staff helpful. Room itself was clean, and the resort overall had a beautiful vibe with deco that fit perfectly with the environment. Felt like the owner put in love into the place. Next time I go to Samui, we're booking the same place. Highly recommended!!

Amazingly Wonderful and Relaxing”

We spent three weeks on Koh Samui - one week at three different hotels around the island. This was by far our favorite. It's beautiful and remote. But we still managed to walk to the main street and do food and essentials shopping no problem. We stayed in a one-bedroom house and it felt so spacious and not crowded by other vacationers and staff. We slept late every day and weren't bothered by anyone hovering nearby, waiting to get in and clean. (They come in every three days which is fine.) The owners and staff were wonderful and friendly. If you like nature, this is a home-run. We will absolutely stay here again if we are lucky enough to come back to Koh Samui.

Lovely bungalows in nature ”

Peace and quiet, lovely mountain and forest, nice and clean little bungalow, swimming pool, good breakfast andnd very friendly staff. ...all of that for a very reasonable price. Rare in Samui and much appreciated.....One feels away for all and yet a few hundred metres from the beach ! I have already recommended to several friends

Cute villas in the jungle! ”

We had a great time in our Mali house! Big clean accommodation with comfortable beds, nice terrace and a lovely garden with pool. Great and helpful staff! Super easy going! Big thanks to everybody!

Not really satisfying”

Stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived arouns 8 pm at night and the road to the hotel was pretty scary (there are no lights) hence it is not recommended to walk at night. There was no market or any nearby shops around there. So arriving at night time is highly NOT recommended. We wanted to rent bikes but they were all rented out (the staff said so). I don't particularly like the bathroom. The staff is very helpful. Overall it is just an okay stay. I have stayed other hotels in Koh Samui, and U definitely prefer hotels with food or nightlife around. If you want to hide away from crowds, this is definitely the place to be!

A good option for Lamai”

This place is a short scooter ride outside of Lamai beach area so is nice and quiet. The place itself is fine, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was simple but good. The only down side was that some of the lights didn’t work and the AC was quite loud, but other than that all around a good choice.

Excellent”

The rooms were perfectly clean and very modern, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including driving us to our next destination so we wouldn’t have to wait for a taxi. The location isn’t the best and wouldn’t really be suitable for people who cannot walk long distances, so a bike or car would be recommended! Overall the resort was lovely with the only downside being the location.

good value ”

nice room and very peaceful nice pool but you can't use it because of the mosquitos that was the bad part, nice resort but you can't enjoy it because of the mosquitos didn't get any good advise from the manager, seems like he doesn't know his island... otherwise go for it, the breakfast is ok. For the price don't expect something special !

Like living in a jungle 😀”

The hotel consists of separate lodges and houses. The lodges have good sized comfortable beds, tv and large fridge. The shower room is large and the shower is partly open so you can look at the sky and trees 😀 The grounds are beautiful with trees and a very good small swimming pool. The hotel is situated in an area surrounded by forest with beautiful views of mountains. You could use a car or motorbike to get around as the town and beach are a few Kms away or walk a few minutes down to the main road and flag down a bus or taxi to take you. The staff are excellent and very helpful. I really enjoyed staying there!

Great little place near Lamai beach ”

Lovely little bungalows with aircon and a cool private outdoor shower. There is a small pool to relax and cool down it and breakfast in the morning is simple but tasty. It's not very far to walk to Lamai beach but leaves you out of the hustle and bustle if you prefer a quiet night, would definitely stay again!

Great quiet place”

This is our 2nd time in 2 years here and like it. A lot. Many complain its to far away. Look at the map. Its not hard. We like it because it is away from the crowd. Its not a party place and quiet It is a 20 minute walk to the shops . No big deal. Its quiet, spacious, clean and close to Diphavan.

luxery place & friendly owners ”

The most luxery place in our month backpacking and within our small budget. Was Totally worth the money! A great place with nice swimming Pool. Even first time we had a good kitchen where we could Cook. Big fridge in the room was usefull and the rooms were clean and looked like new! Good warm shower! Owners are very kind! Speak even good english! Can help you when you need it and good advice. Had a great time with their son, Joined us at the swimming Pool and was even helping us cooking of our pancakes! Gonna miss this place...

Excellent value for money”

Excellent value for the price. Quiet and nice outlook. Not really walking distance to anything, but excellent with own car or scooter. Breakfast was fine and coffee good. Staff very accomodating and helpful. Would stay again for sure.

Nice and quite ”

Motorbike recommendable since it is a bit more up to the hill. But the place is clean and quite and I enjoyed the silence during the night. Water bottles are provided in the room. I found the room pretty cozy. All in all worth it for the price if you need something easy for a few nights.

Lovely place away from the hustle and bustle”

This is a fab place for value for money. We liked being a little way away from the beach and busy bit. We didn't mind walking down and up the lane to get out and about but probably wouldn't walk it at night with a 12 year old. The owners and the staff on site were really lovely. Storm Pabuk hit while we were there and the staff kept checking we were ok and helping us if we needed it. The only thing I thought would be good to add was mosquito nets. We got bitten a lot.

Nice place! ”

Nice place, confortable! Not in the city center but you can get easily everywhere. Don’t go there if you’re really scarred of lizards! Good breakfast but if you’re looking for a large breakfast (American style) that’s not the case. Very nice place and peaceful, lost in the nature! Staff very kind and helpful!

Very good”

Certainly off the beaten track during low season anyhow. The grounds were very well maintained with blossoming flowers. Unless you're five years old the pool will be disappointing. The door to the bathroom in my unit was built for short people so I left the bathroom light on overnight. The door is translucent but the ceiling you could hit your head on isn't. My head survived that door jam five days but a friend in a similar situation said he was mostly ok but had some memorable incidents.
