Top Recommendation among Chiang K. GHs Excellent !”
i luuurve this this gh ; owner/staff in charge were all kind and friendly. the rooms were decorated/furnished in a good taste of "boraan = traditional" way. free wi-fi, bathrooms, kitchen facility, rental bikes, etc., were all nicely maintained. i will surely go back this place, partly because i left behind one of my wallets (!) while in a hurry checking out, which however had been found later being safely kept by one of the staff. for those heading for this place/chiang khan by car, i recommend taking a "go-around or circle" route, i.e., udorn (where u can rent a car from a choice of rental co.s) - nong khai - enter route 211 which has some "tricky" turns on the way, but u can enjoy a gorgeous mekong river view all the way on the right-hand side - arriving in chiang khan; enjoy the city! - on the way back, enter route 201 to muang loei, which offers yet another panoramic greenery view of central plateau - turn left at "(sorry, forgot the name)" interjunction - udorn bypass

Its location is great, not too far from the walking street. Staff is always happy to help and provide information. Room is clean. Hope they keep the old city atmosphere. It was a pleasant stay. I'll return.

Great location , near by night walking street”
Although the house is not on the rever bank but it is not far away. you can easily walk to night shopping street , find food , or walk to rever bank. The house is an old fashion wood house with share bathroom / toilet ( down stair ). Service was very warm and good. There were couple of bikes for free too.

Not as expected”
The Agoda listing stated "river view" and had some pictures. The Maloeide had no river view and the pictures did not match reality. The room was tiny, with no bed but with an air conditioner and a TV with extra speaker attached. The bathrooms were downstairs, and the smell of sewage was overpowering.

Great location and nice woman running it, but after waiting around for 2 hours, had a coffee across the road, wandered down to the river, had some food across the road, and eventually had to get someone to phone them and then someone came. Ridiculous.

Emplacement ideal, accueil correct”
Accueil ponctuel, dans un ensemble simple et propre, situee a cote de la rue principale bordee de maisons tout en bois, ce qui permet une agreable visite du centre ville a pied. Accueil tout en thai mais avec la possibilite de contacter par telephone la proprietaire qui parle anglais. Petit bemol : facturation de l'air conditionne exageree.
