Awesome hotel”

We loved our stay at the hotel and have stayed there 5 times. We always stay there when we go to Ao Nang Krabi. We have also stayed at a Marina hotel in Kata Beach Phuket. What is nice is that you get the same great hotels and service at all their hotels. The breakfasts are good and the one in Ao Nang is especially good. My wife went to the Fisherman Express by herself while I was away on business and arrived there very late (after 11pm). The staff brought her tea and sandwiches to the room without being asked to do so. This shows me service above and beyond. We will always use this hotel when we go on holiday to Krabi again.

Good price, unique style & comfortable stay”

We are in Marina Express in Ao Nang for 2 nights. The price is quite good. Although hotel location is a little bit far from beach, about 15-20 minutes walking distance but it's next to many local restaurants & minimarkets. Our room Deluxe Cliff View is located on 3rd floor, has private balcony, light-filled, well designed (fisherman style), good furniture with bright color & clean. The bed is big and comfort. Free minibar in room is a highlight but no toothbrush or toothpaste so you need to bring your owns! Breakfast is just fine, not much choices but I'm quite pleasant with restaurant & lobby style. The pool is outside, big enough. Hotel staffs are friendly. Overall we had a great stay in Marina Express.

Great place to spend a few days (or a week)!!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marina Express. The reception staff were most efficient and gracefully welcoming. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The linen and towels were crisp and fresh and replaced on a daily basis. The garden is lush and the pool sparkling. We enjoyed sitting under the thatched roof, enjoying the cool breeze and buffet breakfast (even though at 300 Baht it was a tad expensive). The hotel is situated up the hill (about a 10 minute stroll) from the sea. This was a distinct advantage, particularly when venues on the seafront are loud. I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of Marina Express and the fact that we were able to escape the thudding 'boom boom' of karaoke or live bands, both of which have a tendency to pound the ear drums and numb the senses. I would definitely return to this hotel (love Ao Nang and the spectacular sunsets over the Andaman) and recommend it to travellers of many varieties. Thank you Marina Express for a super stay!

Cosy hotel”

I booked 4D3N with Marina Express, and it was amazing. Although this hotel was small, but it was very cost and well maintained. I especially loved the room and breakfast dining area decorations. Although this hotel was a little bit far from Ao Nang Beach (a 20 minutes walk, if we're sitting a tuk tuk, 3 minutes), but there was a lot of food stalls around it. 7-eleven, stir fried pad thai stalls, ao nang boat noodles, bbq chicken, and they were all DELICIOUS. All in all, i'm very happy with my stay! Definitely coming back in the future. :)

Awesome”

Hotel : check-in was quick and fuss free. Booked a Deluxe Room, spacious and there’s balcony and sofa for a very reasonable price. Bed was super comfy and room is definitely clean. Free mini bar top up everyday. Don’t forget to bring your toothbrush and toothpaste as they don’t provide them. Hotel location was perfect for me surrounded by plenty of muslim/halal foods. The hotel restaurant is not halal, yet there’s bread, pastries and egg live station which you can consume. Hotel staff is very helpful, they help us with booking of chauffeur service from hotel to the airport for 600baht. Hotel provides umbrella in the room and beach towel too! Hotel to Aonang beach took us about 20mins walk which i’m pretty lazy to walk hence we rented a bike for 200baht per day (prepare a refundable deposit of 3k baht) We went for island hopping which cost us 2400 baht for 2pax include all taxes. (tour counter can be found opposite the hotel beside Bangboo restaurant) Don’t forget to try Firdaus restaurant beside the hotel as they provide nice halal seafood and there’s a cart right in front of the hotel selling pad thai (cheap & nice!) There’s a short night market outside the mosque selling street food, don’t forget to try the mango sticky rice, i bought that everyday it cost only 50baht! Massage parlour is all over cost between 200 - 500baht (i went twice 😊 ) Overall, Krabi is a nice place to relax. I never regret choosing Marina Express tho it’s not located in front of the beach.

Very Nice Hotel, will definitely come back again”

Marina Express is the best hotel in Ao Nang!!! Staff were very nice,especially the boy in the night shift. He helped me and my sister a lot. Hotel location is not near to the beach, around 15 mins walk to the beach, it's ok for me as I like quiet environment. 7-11,family mart,many cheap foods near by,very convenient. Room is not very big but clean and cozy,like its decoration a lot, very fresh! Breakfast not many food choices but taste good, coffees are very nice.

Great little oasis in Ao Nang”

We really enjoyed our stay at Marina Express. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was fantastic as it gave you a sense of "home". The hike up to the top where we were was a bit of a walk - but a good way to walk off all the delicious food we had eaten in town at the end of the day. The pool was lovely, breakfast had a good selection and changed just enough to keep it interesting. The staff were great and very helpful with any inquiry we had. Overall, I'd highly recommend Marina Express if you're looking for a place in Ao Nang.

I Will Be Back”

Very nice hotel with walking distance to almost everything in Ao Nang except the main beach area where the long boats are. If you are a Muslim, this is a good place to stay. Behind the mosque and Halal food are 100% accessible outside hotel. The rooms are clean. This is my first experience whereby a hotel will replenish their mini bar and items in the fridge are free. They provide slippers so you don't have to bring one. 2 towels for each guests. Enough power sockets to use. Toilet is clean also. Staff are friendly and able to communicate in standard English. Well mannered staff too. Breakfast is non halal but not an issue. One thing that you need to be aware that mosquitoes is everywhere in the room. Probably due to the location with some bushes and trees. You just have to purchase insect repellent and spray your room. I helped the hotel management to tackle this problem by spraying my room and it was mosquito free for the rest of my stay. Price is ok. I will come back to this place all the time when I going to Krabi. To the management and staff that I've spoken to, Thank you for the great service and I'll be back. See you soon. ~Rudy~

First time at Marina Express”

I love to stay at Marina Express, the price is so worth. The room was clean and tidy. I like the interior design, it makes me feel like home. The staff was very helpfull and speaks english fluently. They have a swimming pool, bar and private villa up to the hill. The hotel was also near from Ao Nang Beach so you can walk to strolling around. It was easy to find a food, and it's near from the mosque and it night market.

it's my first time to visit Thailand. I tried to look for hotel located in a quiet place but convenient. Yes, Marina Express is located in a silent place and only 10-15 minutes to Ao Nang beach on foot. definitely convenient. the breakfast buffet is quite delicious. I like the fresh egg cuisine, the cook makes right now after you order. and the bed is king size (I think they just combine two single beds in one), very flexible and comfy. It's easy to fall asleep after a colourful day trip. In short, I am quite satisfied.

Worth Every Penny! Awesome!”

Me and my wife stayed in the villa for four nights and it was the best experience ever. Very near to the mosque, very easy to find Halal food near the hotel, the Ao Nang muslim street night market opens everyday makes it easy for us to have a night walk and do some shopping there after we had an activity on the day. However, if you are a Muslim, it is advisable not to pay for breakfast if you want to stay in this hotel, because the kitchen is NOT Halal. We had to take our breakfast outside of the hotel and only have fruits and eggs at the hotel Sea Pier restaurant. If you want to do some ironing, you do not need to go outside as they will send you an iron together with the ironboard for your easy use in your hotel room. The deluxe room was pretty too! We stayed only for one night due to there was no available villa room when we arrived, they send us a complimentary fruit platter as an apology. So nice of them they even want to give us free dinner, but due to non halal kitchen, we rejected and only accept the fruits. Overall, it was a nice stay, very friendly staff, highly recommended. And it wasnt so far to go to Ao Nang beach, just a 10mins walk to the beach. We probably going to stay here again if we have the chance.

Friendly Staff, New Hotel, Nice Design -Fisherman ”

Overall, i and my family is happy with our stay in Marina Express. The staff are all friendly. The hotel is very new with very nice simple design. The hotel premise & its surrounding is clean at all time. The room and toilet are tip top condition. For Muslim, there are a lot of Halal Food nearby. The only minor disadvantage is its distance to Ao Nang Beach which is about 20-25 minutes walking distance of which i consider quite far. Anyway, we overcome this problem by rented a scooter for 200 Bath a day. Overall, i and my family are all happy staying at Marina and will stay here if we come here next time.

Clean & Nice”

A little far from Ao Nang beach but a good walk (slightly less than 15mins) with many restaurant & hawker street food stalls along the way. The hotel is quite new (6months) with nice fisherman decor, staff are friendly & breakfast looks good (better add in during booking) bcoz if purchase over at the hotel is $300baht. This was my 3rd trip to Krabi & I will stay in this hotel again.

My second stay and it was still amazing!”

Pros: We booked the 2-room Villa this time as there was 3 of us and it was almost the same price as the other rooms that required to add THB1000 per night for an extra person. Hence, we went for the villa instead that could accommodate up to 4 pax. We arrived early at 8.30am, and they allowed us to check in at 11am, which was great. The receptionists were all very friendly and kind, they greeted us with all smiles. The villa was beautiful, it was just what we needed. At night the route up to the villa was lit up with little garden lamps which made it even more amazing. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds were big and comfy! The fridge had complimentary snacks and drinks that were free and were refilled everyday. We encountered occasional "visitors" at the villa such as dogs, cats, lizards, iguanas, snails, etc. Which we didnt mind at all as it made it feel as if we are even closer to nature and we love animals as well. But one thing to note is that their geckos/lizards do sound different, and it shocked us on the first day as we have never heard any lizards sounded like that in Malaysia. But it was a good laugh. :D The breakfast was good, pastries are super buttery and tasty! On the last day we had to leave at 6am, and they packed breakfast boxes for us! :) The location was also quite strategic as 7-e was nearby, approx 100m away as well as lots of food stalls around. And u have got to try the Ao Nang Boat Noodle just approx 200m away from Marina! It tastes super duper gooddd. Cons: It is not suitable for elderlies as there are no lifts. If you're not willing/able to walk/climb the hill or stairs, it might be a challenge for you. Our villa had a small leak near the closet as it was raining heavily on the first day, but it was a small matter to us as our stuff didnt get wet. And the receptionist did offer to change a room for us, but we didnt had to as there weren't any storms after that, or maybe they repaired it for us. We are not quite sure

5 stars with 3 stars price. ”

The hotel was well accommodate us for the previous 3D2N. The location is perfectly located in the main street that for access Ao Nang. With this location you could you go to the Hawkers and restaurant less than 200 meters away. The hotel overall are consider clean & tidy. The necessary stuff like bed and linen are clean , but the bed framework and the curtains have some stains that are cannot wash off. Staff were friendly and they will greed you every time they see you. The receptionist even brought us and guided us each facilities in the room. The hotel have family pool and gym which is good enough for daily usage. The Pier (hotel restaurant) were provide many selection for the breakfast. This is the hotel Iooking for after 3 hours research in Krabi area.

Best Hotel for Muslim Traveller”

I stayed for four days and three night. It was low season, so the place is not crowded. The hotel provided swimming pool and room with balcony. The aircond is working perfectly. They changed used towel everyday and provided snacks and drinks in the cooler everyday too. The TV only broadcast basic channels but you can bring your own USB drive to play your own movie. It provide hairdryer too. No iron provided, but you can ask the room service to send you one. It was very near to Ao Nang Mosque and about 1km away from Ao Nang beach. You can rent motorcycle for 200-250 baht per day (a cheaper option than riding tuktuk to any places that cost about 100 baht per trip). Few steps away from the hotel, you can see a lot of Halal restaurants. At night, there is Muslim Street Market along the road in front of the mosque. As for Malaysian traveler, most Muslim restaurant/hawkers/travel agents can speak fluent Malay.

Great hotel ”

Marina Express is a great hotel next to muslim street in Ao Nang. It has all facilities that are needed to have great holidays and stay (pool, room service etc.). The best part is breakfast that is really delicious (great selection of buffet). Also staff is very friendly and helpful.

Value for money”

We were a group of 7 friends, stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The location was good, even though it is by the roadside, but it wasn't noisy at all at night. Lots of restaurant nearby, and only 10 mins walk to Ao Nang beach. The room was quite small, but we loved it. The bed and pillow was so comfortable, it was hard for us to leave the bed in the morning. The decoration is as picture in the website. The water pressure is good, and the staffs were friendly and spoke English, which is a plus. We had a lovely time at in Krabi, and would recommend this hotel very much. Top choice if we come here again.

Small but Cozy stay”

Overall it was great. The bed was unexpectedly super comfy, though they combine 2 single beds to a king size. The bathroom was kinda small, the water temperature is inconsistent, but it's clean. Location wise was okay, as it is away from the crowded & bustling Ao Nang beach. Take a Tuk-tuk from Ao nang beach to marina Express cost around 60 baht (if you can speak Thai), 100 baht if you don't speak Thai. :) Still a good deal. This hotel does not have lift, so you have to carry your luggage up. I stayed on the second floor, it was that bad, cause i traveled with smaller luggage. But bear in mind, this is not a disable friendly place nor for the elderly folks with walking difficulties. You gotta be ready to walk up hill and some stairs. (Not complaining, as i like to do some walking) Breakfast was very basic and not many choice, you might want to skipped. The swimming pool is very shallow, and lotsa little frogs in the night. My bf enjoyed swimming and playing with the frogs in the night. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They helped me to called for a reservation to a restaurant for my bf's birthday dinner. Thanks.

Good value for money”

We were very happy with our stay at Marina Express and would happily return. The room was clean, with comfortable beds and pillows and a nice size bathroom. The wading pool was excellent and a great place to relax after a day at the beach. Ao Nang beach is a quick 15 minute walk or if you are feeling lazy the hotel offers a one way shuttle twice a day direct to the beach. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of western and Thai options. The hotel is surrounded by many cafes and local food stalls.
