Rooms here are basic but quite small. We stayed 3 nights and it was wet weather so everything got very damp - country style bathroom but at least the shower was hot. After 2 nights we had to ask for a room service to clean trash bins and dry towels. The restaurant is very good and sells wine! There is also a nice area to sit and read/use wifi/admire the view. Very friendly staff/family. Choice in Sagada is limited but, in my view, this was expensive for the experience offered.

Pros: • Just a few steps from the tourist center and town hall • Allows early check-in • Easy check-in and check-out • Delicious food • Hot water • Provided bath towels • Nice room considering the other rooms from other inns in the area Cons: • The small pillow smells disgusting • Only a small soap and 1 sachet of shampoo. The staff said he'll give us tissue but he never did. I guess he forgot. • No water dispenser. If you want to have you water bottler refilled, you have to find and ask the staff. • No trash can. When we asked the staff for it, it was just in the middle of the hall outside our room. He said he forgot to bring it in. • Renovation was ongoing so there were beds in the hallway. There were drilling and hammering above or below us. • Not sure what happened but during our first night, a door kept opening then closing. It sounded like it was being blown by the wind so maybe someone forgot to close it. It was so loud and creepy. • We left early on our second day for the sunrise hike. The staff the night before said we can just unlock the front door and leave it. But we didn't know that it's just literally gonna be us in the whole inn. When we went out of our room, it was so dark. No lights were on. Not even in the hallway. We tried to turn on some lights along the way but when we reached the lobby/resto, it was still super dark. If you're scared of the dark (or ghosts), I suggest you inform the staff to leave some lights on. Last day was also the same. No lights in the entire inn. • We were ordering breakfast since its included in our room, they have a different menu for checked in customers, which is fine but it doesn't seem like the staff are aware. It happened twice with 2 different staff. We had to ask them several times if they're sure that it's the right menu since the one they're giving us looks pricey. We didn't want to put them in trouble. It took them a few minutes to figure it out. • I'm not sure if they know the length of our stay. On our la

the included breakfast was great, and the overall room layout was more than adequate. the beds were comfortable too. the location is great for anyone not yet familiar with sagada as it is the closest known accommodation to the tourism office. staff was also helpful in the clean up of our muddy shoes after a very muddy hike. didn't realize it was one of those historical inns, it would be good if there were more coffee table books or similar souvenirs about the inn's famous founder.
