I am very positively surprised. The hostel is clean, there is soap, shampoo and toilet paper in the bathrooms. There is a roof top and a kitchen as well as a washing machine and dryer. The beds are very comfortable. Strong wifi.

A nice hostel ”
Matchbox is a nice hostel. It is sweet with the small ‘rooms’ which make you feel it is a room. Unfortunately we were there with some not very clean guests so the bathroom and especially the toilet wasn’t very clean. This is very disgusting. But not the fault of the accommodation. The area where matchbox is located is good, you can walk some minutes to the metro or sky train or just walk a while. On one morning we got woken up by the staff because she wanted to know if we want to have clean our bed. This was very strange because we were asleep and she touched my feet and shaked it to wake me up. This is a no go!

Perfect for a Hostel ”
If you're not too tall or too large, the small pods are just right for you. I'm short so I can easily sit up in the pod. Free Wifi and a fun little Soi with all the devil's delights should that be your fancy.....some Issan food too and a 7-Eleven full of Ham and Cheese Toasties for you nubs haha.

Stay here for 5+1 nights in queen size bed dorm, Room and common area was clean and no bad smell in toilet+shower room. There are personal TV in each bed with lots of power sockets and curtain for guest privacy. Huge locker also provided below lower bed. A/C open 6pm-10am. Common area on rooftop for dining and relax with utensils, refrigerator, microwave, water dispenser, washing machine & dryers. Hostel is located in bangkok prime area. 500m to BTS-Prompong and EmQuartier, 1km to MRT-Sukhumvit/BTS-Asok and Terminal21. Convenience store 7-11 just next to hostel door and many supermaket nearby. You can enjoy varieties of foods and shops.
