It was our second trip to Mimosa and they spoiled us with a wonderful welcome back. We enjoyed the renovations done since our last visit (very much family friendly now). An amazing, independent resort! ”
What an amazing, independent resort! As an expat living in Bangkok we have stayed in various independent resorts on Samui and around the country but this is by far our best experience. We travelled with a group of 7 staying in 4 different rooms and all of us had the same experience. Amazing value for money, helped our group out with every request, the restaurant has a big menu with so many different options from Thai to western. The beach front and pool area is lovely and quiet with some kayaks and paddle boards to use. All our transport we arranged through the hotel and was great value and punctual. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the island, amazing value for money for the location, facilities and service!

Better than expected”
Because of the price, I expected basic accommodations, but Mimosa far exceeded this. The staff is so kind and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the view from the pool area is beautiful. The restaurant was the highlight for me. Everything was delicious. I also enjoyed the outdoor bathtub, but just know it takes awhile to fill, so start early. I stayed at Mimosa so o could attend FitKoh training camp, and the location was perfect. Both the beachfront yoga and Muay Thai gym were a short walk away. There is a 7-11 about 10 minutes walk. Be aware- the hotel spa is not open. And I didn’t love the massage I got nearby. Best to spend an afternoon in Fisherman’s Village and get your spa treatments there. You can easily take a cab. Or walk to the main road and hope for a somgthaew. If you try and walk the whole way, it takes about 1 hr 45 min.

I have no words to describe how amazing was our time spent in mimoso resort, the staff are lovely, the restaurant has amazing food, the atmosphere of the resort it’s also amazing. We loved so much that we are planing to spend one more day at the resort during our stay in koh samui. Would recommend for sure. Also, I had a lovely surprise on my birthday from the staffs!

Cool hotel, very quiet area. Staff are all really friendly. Nai in the bar was great always smiling, good sense of humour and willing to share his story with us! Nice and close to fitkoh as well if you want to get a workout in!

We had the best experience at Santhiya thanks to Loken in the beach restaurant who was the most helpful and friendly I have ever met at a hotel! The hotel is very calm and relaxing, fantastic view from our hotel room with amazing sunsets every night! Breakfast and buffetwas good, they could have some more dinner options then the Altcar menu but as I understand it some restaurants are closed due to covid. Only negative thing I can say are the excursion bookings, we tried to book a trip to phiphi but the hotel required at least 6 guests to go. I recommend walking down the beach and talking to the guy standing there who will organise a private tour much cheaper then the hotels non private option. Would rate it a 4 but give it an extra star thanks to Loken in the beach restaurant, best service I have ever had!

Incredible experience”
I give Mimosa my very highest recommendation. Essentially a 5 star Koh Samui experience if you get the private pool rooms, at a fraction of the price. Staff very friendly, cocktails were perfect, and you just can't beat the location. Sunsets are worth dining in for.

My husband & I chose Koh Samui for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mimosa Resort & Spa. We loved our Jacuzzi Pool Villa. The manager, Watt organised fresh flower petals to mark our anniversary on the bed, a fruit platter on arrival & we had a beautiful private romantic dinner for 2 on the beach. Mr A. organised this and I recommend everyone to do this. We booked return transfers with the hotel direct. Mimosa is a place if you want to get away from it all, so if you want the night life then you need to go elsewhere. We hired a car & we loved the experience to explore the island.

Great getaway”
As first time travellers to Thailand in particular Koh Samui, we weren't familiar with the island. Mimosa is set on a beautiful quiet part of the island, built on the bay with adequate facilities and excellent accomodation, hospitality services. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with day trips, tours and many sight seeing opportunities within other parts of the island. This resort was both picturesque and true to what is advertised - if not even more beautiful in real-life. Our trip was an ideal escape residing in the Jacuzzi pool villa with the upmost privacy and western comforts. The Spa treatments were fantastic. If you are seeking peace and inclusive accomodation Mimosa is for you. Location wise the resort is around a 15 minute cab to restaurant strips including the Fishermans Village or a further 25 to Chaweng. If you are seeking nightlife and accessible location amongst the hustle of Koh Samui this is not the correct part of the island. Highly recommend

I and my family had wonderful time at Mimosa Resort and spa. Everything and everyone there made us happy. It worth to spend money, you will get more than you pay :) I told staff, accidentally, that I come here for vacation beside 10th years anniversary. They prepared room on second day and serve us very delicious brownie! After we check out, our children did not want to back, little one cried, staff gave him little bear doll! We love Mimosa, if we go to Samui, no other choice, only Mimosa in Mind :)

Relaxing Peaceful Stay But watch out for Lady Boy”
Stayed 7 nights at Mimosa. The location is quite isolated and around 1 Km walk to the main road. This resort has only been opened since Feb 2010 so everything is virtually brand new. Would need to hire a vehicle to get around but the resort had all you need, beach, beautiful gardens, good food, gym, children's play room, spa, etc. There was a car accident down the road which had cut out the electricity supply for a couple of hours and the management were is helpful in keeping us up to date and as a goodwill gesture, offered us a free upgrade of the 'Lovers Suite' and a free aromatherpy massage in there spa. Loved the waiters and had a good time at breakfast, the dining area is on the beach and looking out to the ocean - stunning!!! I would stay at Mimosa again and would recommend to friends and family.

The best resort experience of my life”
Our 13 night stay at Mimosa was amazing. The staff were attentive, the restaurant had many choices, and the private beach was lovely. We intentionally stayed away from the party district of Chaweng and Lamai, so if you want to be a little more connected to civilisation, be prepared to pay for travel or renting a motorbike as the main towns are at least a 20 minute drive away. Our room had a private plunge pool, private deck, an outdoor bath and rain shower, so we were well and truly looked after in terms of the 'resort' aspect. Mimosa does a great job to cater to both families and couples, as there is a children's play room in addition to the massage and spa centre and gym. It is a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy your time away from everything. I would definitely recommend Mimosa to everyone.

The best staff we ever have ! Very calm, far of the noise road and the stink. our room number 111 was the better in this resort its was even too much big for us four persons. We spent one week it was short. When we left this paradise we have cried... miss koh samui and Mimosa resort. We never forget it.

Expensive, but amazing”
This resort is top-notch as far as facilities, service, location and beauty! It's away from the touristy part of Samui (Chawang) but this also means less options for food / shopping. You will be paying more for everything at Mimosa (food, drinks, rooms, spa) compared to the rest of Samui, but if you're willing to spend some extra cash, this resort is well worth it!
