Nan City Center hotels & places to stay

I was impressive with the location firstly, since last time, i was there by my owned. Actually last year, then i was visited here again this time with my family to show them how beautiful of this hotel and marvelous Nan city. It's charming hotel and great hospitality service. We were traveling there with older seniors citizen's which at first we thought might be some issue as per we have room on the 2nd floor. However, my parents love it as per decoration and feeling atmosphere around plus the classic of the location match with everything. The room was great match with prices we paid with all arrangement that we were request in advance . Thank you very much Khum Muang Min Hotel. We will definitely visit there again

A classic hotel with an interesting background. Once an old hotel, renovated to today's comfort, but still keep the old style feeling which is perfect for Nan city. I always stay at this hotel every time I go to Nan. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location. A little pricey but understandable as it is a quiet place. Breakfast is adequate; for the price it could have been better though.

Perfect hotel with perfect location. Nice and friendly staffs, they did what im I requested without said no at all. Lovely hotel owner, they are always there at the breakfast to check all guest satisfaction and make sure all your stay is going smooth. The lovely owner also recommended me what to do and where to go, feeling like you are at home Delicious breakfast. And unique hotel design. Me and family had a great time there. You even can park you car there at the hotel and walk around to attractive destination and shopping area. I did book this hotel in my second time to visit in NaN city. Wow, I am so glad I booked this hotel after searching for many days online about hotels in Nan. Phumin Place is a beautiful haven, the rooms are huge and so comfortable and the staff are above and beyond helpful. The location is about a 5-second walk to the Night Market and Wat Phumin, but if you want to go further afield, the free bikes on offer are good quality and comfortable. Usually we skip breakfast, but definitely don't here: the breakfast is cooked by the owner's mother and it's high-quality, super tasty, authentic Northern Thai food. A real treat. Will DEFINITELY book here again when we come back to Nan, which, by the way, is an excellent city/province.

This place's beyond my expectation as I really wanted to find somewhere new and equipped with lift for my aged father. This hotel meets what I expected; however, it's a bit far from Nan city center for 500 meters of walking distance. Due to its location, we can walk to the evening markets where we can find some local food stalls and had chances to try something new. The service was great as every one tried to help us of city tour and TAXI with reasonable price.

Nan We took the AC bus from Chiang Mai to Nan city. Nan province is in the north east of Thailand and borders Laos. Nan city on the river Nan, is a quiet and as it turned out, attractive and extremely clean little city (population about25,000). Nan, apparently, was an independent kingdom into the 20th century and was only fully integrated into Thailand in 1931. Between the 1960’s and the 1980’s it was controlled by the communists who used the porous border with communist Laos. The “green bus” took about five hours (285 baht) and was very well run with complimentary ice cold water and snacks. The seats were comfortable (I don’t consider myself very rugged when it comes to long distance bus journeys) and the journey afforded quite an insight into the rural north east of Thailand (well wooded and sparsely populated). We had pre- booked with Agoda on line, The Nan boutique hotel. Normally we wouldn’t pre- book or indeed stay at a “boutique hotel” but we were only going for 4 days and fancied a bit of comfort and the price quoted by Agoda of 850baht a night (including breakfast) didn’t seem too hedonistic. We telephoned the hotel as soon as we arrived at Nan bus station and they sent out a complimentary saung tow (taxi) to collect us. The hotel is just over a year old; always a good consideration in Asia. Its on 2 stories in two separate blocks surrounding a garden and parking area. The rooms are fabulous! Boutique hotel/Bali style, AC, flat screen TV, internet, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge etc. The room looked brand new and are very clean ,bright and spacious and apart from the odd cockerel was very quiet. I think that this was the best hotel room we have stayed in , in Asia. Breakfast was served in a very nice open sided restaurant.

Dhevaraj Hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were smallish but they were modern looking and nicely done up with good lighting and furniture. Mattresses were very good, not too hard or too soft. Mini-bar available in the room. No tea/coffee making facilities, mini safe or hair dryer in the room. Also only one available power point in the room. Furniture was modern and enough storage space was provided. Air-con was excellent. Flat screen Cable TV was available including BBC World though only a few other English channels. Bathroom was smallish but one didn't feel too cramped, and also fairly modern. Shower with a small bath but a good shower with excellent water pressure Although we were on the top, 5th, floor, there wasn't much of a view, at least on our side as the buildings nearby were of a similar height. Breakfast was buffet style in the big Coffee Shop, good choice on both days but mainly Thai choices. The rest of the hotel is pleasantly decorated, in a modern fashion, with one large atrium going right up to the roof, which has access corridors to many of the rooms, plus another smaller atrium, where most of the rest of the rooms are located. Many of the corridors have two chairs and a small table outside each of the bedrooms where guests can sit and share a snack with friends or chat to other guests. A very nice feature. Internet WiFi in the room was provided for 30 baht for 2 hours, get the password from Reception. Plenty of car parking spaces available at the back of the hotel. We found the hotel staff to be generally friendly, maybe a little reserved sometimes. As well as Function Rooms, they have a Karaoke Bar, and also a good Massage Parlour. The hotel's location is excellent right on one of the main streets of Nan City right opposite the main market in Nan and within easy walking distance of many sights and the Riverside area. The Dhevaraj wasn't 4 or 5 star luxury but for a 3 star hotel we thought it was excellent.

fantastic location near city radius, reasonably priced hotel with big spacious and clean rooms. charges below average of nan city 3-star hotel even at the peak season. hotel staff extremely efficient and helpful. within radius to all shops and market, bicycle rental shop. except hotel without wardrobe. I'll recommend to my friends and check in to this hotel my next visit.

Location is a little bit far from the city center. But Nan city is a small city, you just need to spend a few minute to ride bicycle to anywhere in Nan city from guesthouse. The owner couple is nice, they can provide all the valuable information about Nan. They are son is slyly and cute. The room is large and clean. It planted trees in the garden. It makes you feel so comfortable and peaceful. The owner also put some artist product he made it by himself to decorate in the garden. The owner is provide free pick up service from their guesthouse to the airport. Overall, it totally deserve you stay in this geusthoseu a few days to explore Nan city.

Very kind hotel staff. They pick me up at the airport and help me booking a taxi to Pua. The room is spacious and very clean. Breakfast also is very tasty, have soy bean milk and deep fried Chinese stick. I quite enjoy the breakfast music as well. I will come back if I have another visit to Nan. I like the staff very much, their kindness made this hotel like home. Also you can rent a free bicycle to go around the city, actually the location is also nice. There is a night market with very reasonable price within 5 mins walk. The only thing I would suggest is the air in the room not very fresh, better to open the window for some wind. But all in all, very good choice.

Warm greeting, easy check in. Had been riding motor bike for seven hours so didn't want to ride any more. Hotelier ran us round to "Tony's bar" to meet some friends and then collected us later, we had to pay for the ride but it's was worth the money. Very knowledgeable about the area. Over flow car park opposite hotel so no need to panic if the two parking spaces in front are taken. Shop opposite that sells beers etc. Bar restaurant about 150 m walk, the food there average and only Thai, 7/11 close by. I found the hotel a bit hard to find as its on a small side road. Comfortable clean rooms with nice shower en suite. I figure the wooden floors could make for some wake ups with noisy walkers but shoes are requested to be removed at entrance. Quiet location. Nan is one of those Thai towns that goes to sleep at 9.30 pm except for a few bars and there are only a few.

The old wooden home is authentic and the neighborhood is the same. Air conditioning was a wonderful retrofit! Although the fan was fine at night. Large common areas were comfortable and breakfast great. The best was the family. Sweet, attentive, careful and helpful. This is a homestay and not to be compared with a chain hotel. You will not get an automated wake up call. But you may get a sniffer of traditional Thai medicine from the sweetest ever host to help your vertigo. And yummy banana leaf wrapped sticky rice at breakfast. I enjoyed it very much.

Loved stsuimg here. The town of Nan is mellow and all I did was eat and rest. Nan guest house was the place to do it, especially on the upper roof top with views of the town. Comfortable and clean in a traditional old wood house with addition. Aircon worked well, warm water shower and the water in the bathroom drains well. It's nice they provide water and coffee for free, plus there's a self serve honor sytem fridge supplied with beer, water and other drinks. There's also a water refill & hot water for your coffee. 7 minutes walk to town center to eat at the lovely night market. Staff was nice and called a motorcycle taxi for me when I needed to leave. There's no Landry service, but they have a restaurant. There's a coin operated laundry machine just down the alley at a little family store. The owner was really nice and helpful. (Hang dry) Thsnk you for a pleasant stay.

We used to visit this small town many times. We could see good and bad points of these hotels. Fah Place Hotel is one another with good location where we can walk to any places. The owner and staff are friendly. We were leaving early at 05.00 am. The hotel made an impressive morning call both by phone and door knock. Bike rent was easily returned at 05.00 am. after a half night use of it. The room was no window and bad air ventilation. It's non sense to increase price to higher floors since all rooms are the same. Generally, the higher is the cheaper because there is no elevator.
