Kandaburi during end of low-season”

We stayed at the end of the low season. The room was fantastic. The staff met us at the lobby and we were offered a cold towel and a nice drink before being shown our room. If you are in the deluxe rooms you are set off from the beach by the main road in Koh Samui. It's no more than a minute's walk to the front of the hotel and the beach. The pools are excellent. In general, getting around in Koh Samui is a trial, so make sure you stay close to the attractions that brought you to the island. If it's a great beach that is close, but not too close, to the party scene, North Chaweng is the way to go.

Great hotel at a good last minute price”

This was our first trip to Koh Samui. We needed to find somewhere to stay for 5 nights after treating ourselves to a 5 star resort for the first 3 days of our trip. We walked next door and found this hotel with its beautiful pool and friendly service. We looked up this hotel and got it for a ridiculously cheap price which included breakfast. The rooms were huge, the staff were friendly and helpful, the pools were big and beautiful and very easy to spend the day by. The hotel was only a short walk from the main beach and shopping area and had everything we needed. we would definitely stay here again for that price and would recommend it to friends.

new and friendly hotel”

This was our first time in Koh Samui and we chose this hotel according to the reviews of Agoda users. The hotel was clean and new, the room was spacious and our 3 year old kid enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The pool was nice, with jacuggi, and the beach in front of the hotel was very shallow, which was good for our small daughter. She also enjoyed going up and down many stairs from and to the reception and the restaurant, though it could be tough to some people. The hotel is very close to the airport and in a good distance from the center. We took the shuttle bus for shopping and dining, and when we stayed at hotel we appreciated the quietness.

Peaceful and Serene Abode”

The Hotel/Resort was very beautiful with very spacious rooms and an excellent location next to the beach. Although we didn't use much facilities of the resort, as we were generally outside exploring Samui, but We will definitely miss the morning breakfast and swimming. The only problem I faced was communicating with the staff over the phone, as they don't understand English. Otherwise, the stay was very comfortable and We had an amazing experience holidaying in Koh Samui!

A Spectacular Hotel!”

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Thailand. Exceptional rooms, great service, private beach. This hotel room's bathroom is awesome too. Sure the food and drink are a little pricey, but that's Samui for ya! It's worth it. Samui is paradise and this hotel fits into that category. We loved this hotel and Koh Samui! Free shuttle to town at 11, 13, 21 hours too.

Great Hotel”

staying in the hotel was really nice, i spent seven days and did not face any issue with them, the staff is well trained, nice and clean beach, two swimming pools. it is located at the end of Chaweng main center away from the busy streets which was nice and relaxing, you might consider renting a bike though... i guess i will use that hotel every time i visit Koh Samui.

Kanda Buri Resort and Spa - 6 STAR!”

Saumui's Kanda Buri Resort and Spa is one of the best hotels along the Chaweng Beach strip. Although at the very northern tip of the strip, and not in the middle of the action, it is still well located, on the quiet end of the beach. The hotel rooms are out of this world, and all have views. The hotel is divided into two portions - beachside and across the street is another large building. We stayed across the street and it was no inconvenience at all. In fact, a lot of Samui hotels are set up this way (waterfront property is prime real estate, afterall). The buffet breakfast supplied each day was awesome! We left full every morning. The pools in this hotel are clean, huge and beautiful. We would definitely visit this hotel again, and having been home for only one day, we have already talked another couple into staying there on their trip!

Beautiful hotel, great location and staff ”

I stayed as a group of 4 female friends in our 20's. The hotel is fabulous, staff polite and helpful upon arrival. It is only a short distance from the airport if you get a taxi from Samui airport. We had 2 rooms on the hillside part of the hotel. The rooms are very large, especially the bathrooms! One small problem with the air con leaking but staff were quick to attend and resolve this. Buffet breakfast is lovely with a great choice. The concierge arranged several trips for us and also some dinner reservations, always happy to help and get the best for you. We ate lunch several times at the poolside by the beach, great location, great choice of food, reasonably priced. The beach is beautiful although if you arrive later in the day you are unlikely to get a sun lounger in the sun. Walk along the beach for lots of Thai massage on the beach for reasonable prices and restaurants on the beach. You can walk into town, nicer to go along the beach or the hotel run a free bus every hour. In summary an excellent hotel, brilliant facilities and beautiful setting.

Fantastic Honeymoon at Kandaburi”

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon in Ko Samui. We stayed for two weeks at the Kandaburi resort and were very satisfied. We had a deluxe room on the third floor. The room was beautiful and looked just like the pictures I had seen on the hotel’s website. I was a little bit nervous as this was our first booking through Agoda, which saved us a lot of money, but I was worried that we would be treated like 2nd class guests since we had paid so much less than the price listed on the hotel's own website. However, the hotel treated us just like any other (full-paying)guests. We were given welcome drinks upon arrival, and our room was specially decorated with rose petals etc. About an hour after arriving a bottle of champagne and a cake were sent up to our room, complements of the hotel (because it was our honeymoon.)(I had told the Agoda travel agent in advance that this was a honeymoon booking.) The breakfast buffet was very good, even by Swedish standards! We never did try the hotel’s restaurant as we usually had our dinner on the beach. (The beachfront is lined with restaurants.)

Great Resort for a Great Price”

I booked a room without ever having been to Koh Samui and unsure of what the location would be like. My experience at Kandaburi was amazing and I know exactly where I will stay on my next trip. Keep up the good work, it is truly a 4 star resort at a 2 star price. Great hotel.

Paradise!”

Our stay at this hotel was thoroughly enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again, particularly in mid-late January as it was not too crowded. I would thoroughly recommend this resort to families or couples who are looking for a relaxing,luxurious holiday destination. We can't wait to go back! We have stayed at Kata Beach in Phuket several times, but Kandaburi Resort in Koh Samui is so much better!

best place to stay in Koh Samui. This place may not advertised as a 5 star resort but it should be. Rooms were huge, bathroom also. staff the most friendliest ive ever met and resort had everything you need. Location is perfect, just two minutes away from the busy bars and clubs and 5 minuts away from the airport.

Kanda Buri is Amazing!”

My husband and I reserved a room for 5 nights and after the first night we decided to stay for 3 more nights on top of our five already reserved. That is because this place was outstanding. The room was decorated in dark wood with white curtains and bed spread. Very classic. It was really clean and I've never been in such a big room/ bath room for it being a regular room. It was the size of a Suite. When we got there for check-in they gave us real flower necklaces and some drinks. You sit down in a lounge and they come to you to check-in. Very different than just standing at a reservation desk. My favorite thing was the chairs by the beach. They have a lot of chairs and umbrellas and the beach was really beautiful. I think it's one of the nicest parts of the beach. We ate at the Thai restaurant they had and it was top notch. The service was flawless and the food was really good. It could have been a little hotter though. The area where you eat breakfast is beautiful. They have this sort of deck that is covered and surrounded by ponds. They greeted with with coffee or tea in little tea pots and then you can have all you want of the delicious buffet. My favorite was the guy making fresh fruit smoothies and the waffles, pancakes, and omelette. They had so much to choose from though. It was great! Like I said in the pros...the service is so kind. They are really quiet and respectful. I really enjoyed and appreciated that. It's hard to put it all into words how great this place is but all I can say is that I would hands down, stay here every time I visit Samui.

location is a bit far to walk to shopping”

for honey moon and relaxation, this hotel is highly recommended. But for family who is always looking for activities, this hotel is abit too far from the actions and shopping, better to choose a hotel in Chaweng beach for maximum convenience. Koh Samui is extremely easy to get around and it is cheaper if you rent a car and do your own sight seeing.

I highly recommend the Kandaburi Resort in Koh Samui. It was great value, the hotel has well kept grounds and great rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly too. Facilities are excellent, including the 2 pools, and the breakfast was great. Try for the Premium rooms which are located much closer to the beach.

Far exceedes the likes of Hilton Hotel chain which I have stayed at extensively over the last year in Asia Great staff and service , the friendly staff go out of their way to help and assist, always with a genuinly friendly smile . good food and value for money, spacious rooms and great facilities. As a regular patron of hotels in Asia for business and pleasure this is one of the best Great location on the best beach ( in my opinion) in Samui, reasonably quite area however close enough to Chawamg town ( 3-4 minute motorbike ride or 30 m walk) for shopping and dining . Highly recommended, I will return on my next trip for sure.

Beautiful Resort”

My girl friends and i have stayed in Kadaburi Resort in Samui. It was beautiful all the staff was really friendly and helpful. Excellent services really Cleand and comfortabl. The staff have welcome us with drinks and flower it felt wonderful make us feel really special no other hotel did that for the three weeks that we were in Thailand. We have our room clean everyday and sheets changes. At night time when we go out there alway security all around the Resort make us feel safe. This is Resort is the best and go to see it if you are looking for some things clean and relaxing. Location is not far from shopping place at all Resto all around and not expensive.

Lovely relaxing Hotel”

I stayed one night on my way back from Koh Phangan with my two children and was thrilled with the quality of the hotel. I had requested an extra bed for my 7 year old and the room we were given was in a beautiful quiet position overlooking the gardens with bunk beds and a huge kingsize bed. The bathroom was enormous and there was a lovely balcony too. Everything was provided, the breakfast buffet was great and there were two lovely swimming pools. The hotel is spread out over two sides of the main road and we stayed across the road away from the beach which was quiet and had it's own beautiful pool and breakfast area. The other pool and access to the beach was only a few minutes walk. I'd definitely stay here again. A great position with access to the lovely beach but very quiet eventhough it was only minutes from the centre of Chaweng.

About the rooms: They are really huge and the bathroom is as big as the bedroom. Too bad that the showercurtain was hanging on the ground because the rail was broken. About the cleaning: Housekeeping did not do the same good job every day as the day when we arrived. When I checked the room in the evening, the bath was still dirty and they did not sanitize the toilet. About the service: When we ordered roomservice we received two times after eachother a bad order without excuses from the hotel. The second time we decided to leave it this way and accept the strange potato instead of french fries. About the pool and bar: the swimming pool is really nice and we liked the temperature of the water. The poolside bar is a gooid choice for nice shakes and other beverages but be carefull. On every order they will add 10% service charge and 7% government tax! This makes it sometimes an expensive drink. About the location: The hotel is located at the most northern part of Chaweng Beach. It takes a 20min walk to the city center. But Koh Samui offers best of the best when it comes down to a palm island. Chaweng beach with its white beaches is a very nice place to relax. Many bars and restaurants offer good drinks and food for affordable (koh samui standard) prices.
