Great family holiday in the sun”

My family and I really enjoyed our week's stay at the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. We have been to Phuket many times before and this hotel was by far the best place we have stayed. We will definitely come back when we visit Phuket again. We have young children, so the beach and the sea were perfect for them - calm, sandy. The pool was a big hit with the water slide too. The kids club was a nice retreat from sun and swimming, and the staff there were friendly. The garden at the kids club was spacious too. The restaurants also offered kids portions and kids meals. Staff in the hotel were lovely too - helpful and friendly. Going around the Laguna area by free boat or free bus was also fun for the kids. There were a few options to eat outside the hotel too - along the beach at other small beachside restaurants. The room at the hotel was perfect for families - a big day bed which could be made up for the kids to sleep in. We loved our stay at Outrigger.

Excellent Location and Good Facility”

We were looking for a beach property to have a family vacation and booked this property after seeing reviews in Trip Advisor as well as AGODA. We booked this property through AGODA with whom I had been booking before. The choice of this property turned out to be right one with excellent location and facilities. The rooms were spacious and in excellent condition, all necessary amenities were there with private beach and nice swimming pool, good food and very friendly staff. The shuttle to nearby village and bazar cum night out restaurant/bars very close to the hotel provided a buzz for my adult children. Only down size turned out to be the pricing. We booked through AGODA and paid over $ 250 per night per room for two rooms for Club Laguna, yet we were given Laguna facing rooms and not the Beach facing rooms at that price, whereas we found out that the similar rooms were available for the same dates at $ 167 per night in this hotel and similar resorts like Dusit it was available for $ 123. So, we kind of felt cheated. Otherwise, we had a very satisfying experience and would certainly recommend this resort hotel who wants a peaceful and central location.

Nice resort in a secluded part of Phuket”

Feels quite new compared to other hotels in this area. Extremely polite staff, food surprisingly tasty and the location is smack in the middle of Bang Tao beach. If all you want to do is relax and swim in the sea, this is the perfect place to do it - the beach is quiet compared to other parts of Phuket and it's several km long. You'll be able to find a quiet spot somewhere! The location in Laguna also means you can travel by free shuttle bus to any of the other resorts and try out their restaurants etc, which we did during our stay. Not much going on in this area other than resorts. Taxis to other parts of Phuket can get costly so bear this in mind. It's a short drive to Patong to experience some nightlife, but it will cost around 700-800 baht one way.

Perfect for us!”

We just returned from our trip to Phuket, Thailand and absolutely loved everything about the Outrigger Laguna Beach Resort. The staff was amazing, the resort was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The location was perfect for our family. The pool was a perfect temperature. We booked three excursions and were pleased with all 3 of them. The ocean was too rough to swim in but we still enjoyed the beach. The highlight of our stay was playing with Candy, the baby elephant, everyday. She is just a doll. The attentiveness of the front desk staff was incredible. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and it feels very genuine. The food was a bit pricey and on the busy days the service could be a bit slow. On one occasion during breakfast we had to ask for coffee three times before we got it. One evening I asked for coffee with my desert and it showed up 10 minutes after I had eaten desert and headed back to the room leaving my husband to wait for the bill. No big deal....just a bit annoying. We had originally booked the Outrigger for 4 nights and another resort for 4 nights but after going to the other resort (which has been rated one of the best) we turned around and came back to the Outrigger and rebooked with them for 4 more nights. The other one just wasn't for us and the service upon arriving was somewhat offensive. My major negative is with Agoda...while searching for a room we put in 2 adults and one child, even giving our child's age....the search came back with the room choice and we booked accordingly ( website says children under 12 free)...upon arriving, our reservation certificate never mentioned our child and we had to pay additional fees for her. While searching for hotels on Agoda , we narrowed our search to family resorts.....why the reservation never showed her is beyond me. It was not the fault of the Outrigger but of Agoda's and I hope they fix this.

Excellent resort for families with children ”

The Outrigger Laguna Beach resort is a wonderful family oriented resort in Phuket. Upon our arrival, we were upgraded to the Premium Sea Facing room. The room was very far away from the lobby but once we were checked-in, we had no complaints. This is possibly the best room in the hotel - Room 217. The room is very large with a big double bed and an even larger day bed by the window. Our 5 year old and 3 year old easily fit into the day bed and we did not require any extra bed. The room has an attached patio with a coffee table and huge couch. This was the best part of the room. From the terrace, the beach was around 10 steps away and the pool less than 50M. Hearing the waves crashing and sitting on the patio couch was truly relaxing. The beach is decent, quite clean and not many hawkers. The sea was a bit rough during our trip so not ideal for swimming. Breakfast was adequate and lunch by the pool was also decent. They have a baby elephant come by the pool twice a day and the kids loved it. The pool has a really nice slide and we spent hours going up and down. For off-season, the hotel was quite full and it was difficult to get chairs around the pool if you arrived late. I just wonder what its like in full season. This was the only drawback. A big shout out to the manager, I can't remember his name but I think it was Jim. I saw him on his feet from 8 am till 8 at night.... everyday. He personally attended to the hotel guests and was seen all over the property. Outrigger is lucky to have him. Special mention to Aod at the concierge who was extremely helpful in arranging our trips to and from the hotel.

Paradise on the beach”

Very impressive about well-trained staffs,delicious and wide selection of breakfast, seafood buffet in western style, lots of facitlities and activiees such as tennis,game room, squash, kid club, batik paining, winsurfing lesson, cooking class, silde pool, beautiful beach for watching sunset, food&drinks are nice and resonable price, Baby elephant and The SPA which offering many kinds of massage with high staff's skill.Great refresment.. the location is in laguna area, private zone, offering the shuttle bus and shuttle boat within this area, 20 minutes to airport and 40 minutes to the city by driving. Something to improve is the cleanliness of bathroom,and the pillow are not that comfy. However, the delux sea view room is quite big and near pool and the beach. due to lots of people in this season, so it's quite noisy. The resort is good for families. One of the great resort in phuket, will be back for sure.

My Favorite Hotel”

Absolutely loved our stay at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. A little hard to find since there are so many hotels in the area with a similar variation of the name. The water slide was enjoyed by the adults as well as my two year old. My rooms were beautiful and the kids loved the daybed by the window looking out onto the lagoon. Took pictures with the baby elephant after breakfast. Ran out of time to do the lagoon boat ride that was free, but looked like a lot of fun. Bike rentals had baby seats on the back too. Staff were friendly but need a little more training.

Well-managed and convenient”

We stayed with our 2 year-old son in a Club Lagoon room. The room has a generous size with a soothing lagoon view. The day bed was great for our toddler to sleep on with some tight pillow barricade for safety. There are good TV channels for kids and movies. The step-in tub was practical for our son. The room, just like the rest of the resort, was kept tidy by a hard-working and always smiling staff. We enjoyed the club advantages with snacks, drinks and evening tasting menu. The upstairs restaurant has a nice selection of food and we always found something to feed the little monster. Babysitters were easy to arrange and the kids club is really lovely. The pool is not huge but never too crowded, it connects with a beautiful beach on a clear calm sea. There are all sorts of sports and tours available to keep busy all day. Most customers are friendly families from various countries. There are little shops right outside the hotel and a town right off the Laguna. Connecting around is a breeze with the boat and shuttles. Staff in all Laguna hotels and facilities do their utmost to make you feel comfortable. Provided your get good weather and not too many inconsiderate mainland Chinese tourists, little can go wrong. One thing I didn't like is the stones around and in the pool stairs which can easily cut kids' skin. Overall it is one of the most pleasant hotels we have visited and we would gladly spend another great holiday there. Well done to the management.

Best resort for family and couple”

I have spend sometimes searching for best resort. Finally found Outrigger for our trip. We spend 600baht take cab from airport to Outrigger resort. As told Grab is not allowed enter to airport for pickup. This is the first time we visit phuket. We love the resort, staff very friendly and 30mins to airport. Beach restaurants, massage 300baht and drinking bar just next to resort around 5mins walk. Very convenient suitable for family and couple. Beach is clean and quiet maybe due to low season. We spend 200baht take cab to the nearby small town visit Friday night market take around 5~8mins. Although resort provide transport but the waiting time is very long. One day only 4~5trips. Request time table from front desk. Love the sticky rice, BBQ pork and BBQ sweetcorn 😉 Next day we spend 800baht take cab to phuket town to visit Naka night market. Would recommend club oceanfront room. We stay at room 311 we love the oceanfront view. 😘 Regret only stay for two days. Will be back soon...

Relaxing and comfortable stay at this resort hotel”

It was definitely an amazing experience staying at Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. I really enjoyed the 5 stars facilities at the resort be it the hotel room, evening bar, swimming pool, beach and the baby elephant in the resort. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who want to enjoy a relaxing, peaceful and yet fun getaway holiday in Phuket.

Great hotel”

I booked a room with the lagoon view, it was peaceful and I preferred it more to the sea view as the sea is rough during this time of the year. Nothing much to fault on this hotel, it's lovely and I will definitely stay here again. I have stayed at other 5 star hotels in Laguna, and I like Outrigger Laguna Phuket beach resort the best.

Couldn't ask for a more relaxing break!”

I had a wonderful 5 days at the Outrigger. The location was fantastic, right on a beautiful stretch of Bangtao beach. The most difficult decision was weather to swim in the pool or ocean! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay and nothing was too much trouble for them. I had Club Access whilst at the resort and the breakfast there was great with a good variety of offerings. The evening cocktails and canapés were also great. Food choices at the restaurant were limited, but it is possible to catch a shuttle to nearby resorts and dine at their restaurants. Facilities are great, including a well equipped gym. There is the day spa at the resort or the staff can book you in at nearby Chaba spa which is fantastic. There is also the option to have massages by the beach for 300 Baht for those who don't want to pay the much more exorbitant prices at the spa. There is a complimentary shuttle to other places of interest in the Laguna area which is great for those who want to get out and about. All in all I highly recommend the Outrigger and would definitely go back.

Luxury Holiday!”

If you're looking for a beach holiday away from too many people, where privacy is needed and luxury demanded, not much else can beat the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort. I rarely needed to go anywhere else during my stay. I had a chaise by the beach or by the pool whenever I wanted it, the hotel's breakfast, restaurant, and room service meals were divine, and my room felt sealed off from everything else when I desired my privacy. I will definitely be back.

Best place to relax”

We had a 2 night / 3day stay at outrigger Laguna phuket beach resort. We had a best experience ever with the stay. Given the location with beach view, pleasant and friendly staff, facilities and comfort inside is world class . It's the best place to relax . As far as food is concerned they are good in their own way, except that I felt it would have been if we would have had Indian delicacies . Cost of food will be around 1500/ for 2 person without drinks . A 30 min drive to airport . Ambience is too good. Overall - it's the best and I didn't have heart to return back

Amazing holiday at Outrigger laguna”

Higher price range compared to the other resorts at the laguna, but I felt it gave value for the money paid. Friendly helpful staff.Clean beach . Great pool. Good spread for breakfast . Shuttle bus to get around laguna but out of the way to Phuket town . If you want a holiday just relaxing in the beach / pool side , I would highly recommend this resort.

Private Beach!!!”

Outrigger Laguna Resort is the nicest resort I have ever stayed in. The grounds are well kept, the rooms are very big and clean and the swimming pools are fantastic. There are plenty of restaurants at the resort and the breakfast is awesome. Bang Tao bay is a lovely beach and the beach at the back of the resort is private and very clean. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect”

We were heading down to Phuket for the Phuket Laguna Triathlon and found this place at a discount. The rooms where very good, large and have everything you need. Everything in the room was working and very good quality. The pool is great with a very good water slide (hours of fun for kids). Beach is only a 30 second walk. Probably one of the nicest places we have stayed ever.

5 star standards with friendly service ! ”

I would said we have a wonderful and very relax time spending 4 days 3 night in Outrigger Laguna ! few things as below make our stay very satisfied ! 1) The swimming pool / beach front - they have three big pool and a slide which cater for young and children. 2) location - taking 25 minute to Patong beach ( which they is night life and bar ) i will say the only Hotel so far have private beach front and big swimming pool joint ! which kids can have their fun time and parent have theirs own relax ! they have kid club as well during the day for younger children where keep them busy ! 3) Good Club which provide tea time and free drinks and coffee for club member who book into club room. i think is worth it as the club provide free breakfast and free dring and snack for during your stay ! 4) Clean room and big space for at least 2 adult and 2 kids if your children is under 12 years and not bigs size ! 5) alot of even you can actually arrange your self and ask the reception make any booking for you during your stay ! 6) Great service and attentive stuff with friendly smile which make your day happy and relax!

Relaxing Holiday in an excellent hotel with beautiful beach”

Great for kids and parents, breakfast awesome, restaurants very expensive but shuttle outside Laguna available frequently. Seafood barbecue highly recommended. Laguna area is quiet and for enjoying Thai food and culture you must definitely go to Phuket town. Hotel is excellent with very friendly staff.

Great Holiday!”

Had stayed with my wife at Outrigger. The resort is nice, and the staff are very cheerful and helpful! We had a room with an ocean view, and the view was certainly great! We had some difficulty getting beach beds by the Ocean, but Rudy from the resort staff helped us haul 2 beach beds and gave us seats right at the ocean, underneath the shade of coconut trees! Also, the cabana butler Was was very cheerful, polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great (we loved the spread), as was the food. We had fish and chips, as well as Tom Yum soup at the beach restaurant, and the flavours were amazing! The food is a tad expensive though, but we didn't mind, being a short holiday. The Laguna area is well connected with shuttles, but if you are to go outside the Laguna area, to say Potong, then you would have to spend around THB 600-800 one way. Overall, myself and my wife loved our stay, and would definitely like to come back again!
